  1. I think it's disappointing.. But tbf the promotion of the album was underwhelming. Seemed like an underground record. GATS was the lead and didn't even get a proper music video. UIG got two and then Joe didn't want to participate in directing them anymore. OML got the promo THP needed and even though Heavy was played over and over again, it didn't appear to me that the album was promoted that well either besides that stripped-down/unplugged + interview format that mostly Mike and Chester did. I think the reception came with the passing of Chaz. I wonder how TTM would've ended up charting if it were released as a single.
  2. That page jumps on any train they get, so their source is most likely reddit rumors from people that had a peak on LPL and didn't know exactly what we know and don't know.
  3. If you were to imagine a Greatest Hits album, what tracks would you put on there? Which are the ones you'd rather not have on it? Do you think it would be a single or a double album?
  4. hmm.. i was thinking, final album session could also mean it got to the mix table, like Lost did. And that could refer to any album as well. Idk if this makes any sense, but imagine there's And One from 2000 in the vault or we in for another Lost they held back. If Greatest Hits=true I would love them to have held back a Numb Demo for this release. But then again they'd probably had that switched with Lost on M20. Most likely nonsense tho, just me fantasizing like the 7-yo I am
  5. That's ridiculous man, not saying it's unreasonable, but not saying it's reasonable either. The song was meh to begin with. Mike chuckled at the idea Already Over (Theremin Soundscape), so I imagine there's no foreseeable hold to this hahaha
  6. How many versions are there now? I can't keep up. hahaha
  7. I'd give everything for a full Third Encore set on this release. I hope there's more than yet released.
  8. Digging deeper, I think you're completely right -We've got like 3 instrumentals with Tom Morello unreleased and -we know that there's more to Apes. -White Noise was recorded for Mall but lyrics are seen in the LPTV to THP. -Odyssey will be interesting, I hope they release a ATS demo in 2030 and another one for THP20. -We have Spotify/Lifejacket already on HPOATT, but both desperately need mixing. -The Glistening is probably another The Summoning but who knows. Then we also know every single working title afaik, so we might be in for something Mike would no longer refer to as demo, but what it used to be on LPU.aqaaaa
  9. I can see MTM20 having great potential, even if they release one disc with plenty of those seeds that might be very short, I imagine there's some gems like Fear and Drum Song and my guess is that the lead single is either that 15th song nobody is sure which about, or a demo of one of the singles with Chaz vocals. Then ATS is difficult with early demos being totally different and the whole concept album thing, but it's the anniversary I imagine the greatest Deluxe Set for design-wise. LT is a 50/50 and THP has like no material I guess. OML will certainly be interesting and will make up for THP being the most rushed album of those. 100% PR goes CHESTERS LAST SONG and YT/TikTok will be like THIS IS HIS CRY OUT FOR HELP, HIS FINAL MESSAGE even though the songs will be written entirely by Mike and a featured producer.
  10. You're great! Thank you I love to quiz myself sometimes and this function is quite amazing.
  11. Honestly I love Linkinpedia along the work and effort you put into it. I liked the old layout more but this is nice as well. Only confusing thing is that concert pages appear constantly when I hit random page. Used to be Touring Summaries at best, I kinda miss the randomness and trivia. But that's just my opinion. If you guys ever need help, I got no rep, but hmu whenever
  12. The thing that amuses me the most about stuff like this, is that they re-used a sample on In Pieces they had on Hurry. And to me it sounds like someone doing a line check or trying to make samples beat boxing. How adorable that they had kept that around for that long to eventually have it on an album. So Far Away is one of my absolute favorite LP songs and I hope one day we get a more detailed evolution of that track.
  13. Thanks man! Djzap did an amazing one in 2020 or 2021 that's not instrumental, but rather the verses and bridge of the Xero tape version with the HT instrumental and I believe some Runaway samples. I don't know if it is still around but you should definietly check it out if you like to imagine a Xero version. Sounds like the perfect Stick'N'Move to me. It's way better than my edit IMO.
  14. hold my beer EDIT: starts at 0:10 I didn't have my original project at hand, so I just used the mp3 from the drive and put shit tons of compression on it because the cymbals were to present in the file. also put on some extracted drums quiently on the track for some emphasis and because the chorus is lacking them so far. AI isn't the greatest tool yet, but I think its output is pretty alright. I mean the verses were basically already done (close no guitar anyways) and the bridge has always been a sick instrumental. This would make a solid thread on it's own, I think we're getting a little off topic. (still anticipating tho haha)
  15. Trying to dive deeper, I used AI to extract bass from Slip (no uploading audio, you guys know how to do it, I thiink) and contrary to my previous belief, I'm now 100% sure that is bass through DI. What I referred to as loop in the verses is in fact not a loop and there are some minor timing issues in the choruses. Maybe the bass came onto the song after Xero had their rebirth. After listening a few times it seems they tried bass but it sounds like nothing but an experiment. This would match with Kyle's attitude towards playing on their tracks. For She Couldn't I stay with my opinion, even with isolated bass it seems most likely to me that Mike used a single bass note and pitched it up and down. Like, every note has the same attack but slightly sped up or slowed down, depending on the pitch of the note. It seems to be live bass sampled, but just to replace the sample that had been on Emo. Like copy and paste, it seems Mike just replaced the original "boring" sample with a live recorded bass npte and boom the whole song got upgraded. Again - just a theory, on the other hand that bass just repeats over and over - even Mike could have played that bass line live. Part of Me sounds very much like live bass to me. There's even some percussive dead notes at the end of the bridge. Definietly the style of someone who had played bass frequently before, I don't think it's Brad. Could be Kyle. Exciting times. I hope someday we learn who we have to thank for that wonderful bass note at the end of the ITE demo, that someone somehow had decided to leave in.
  16. Dedicated simply has no bass at all. She Couldn't has bass but I'm certain it's sampled. Like no question - one might even check the MS library for that sound and end up finding it. Step Up and Carousel could both easily have no live bass at all. Step Up has a pretty interesting bass line but you can't hear anything like fret noise or something on it and it sounds a little too on point. There's one part of the loop in the verses that vaguely reminds me of a slide but even that could be just the sample sliding into the note. I'm not sure I hear bass on the Carousel chorus, but what I hear could be the same sound font as the synth used in the verses. My guess is both songs have MPC bass on them. Now here's what's interesting and I hope someone can back me up with AI isolation: There is no live bass on StickNMove with Chester. Back around 2020-2021 when it came out I was playing with some of the samples of Mike's we have and put together some of the HTEP stuff. And the verses of StickNMove are all there. Every sample, even the bass - basically the whole song except vocals and guitar (and one single tom fill at the end of the bridge I have yet to find). We have the complete song in individual samples at our hands. My claim is that there is no bass in the chorus at all and the verses have sampled bass. Here my re-arrangement of HTEP tracks and SnM using only original MS/JH/LP samples and Chair. Like most of my work, none of this is finished and the furthest developed are the verses of Stick'N'Move and the intro to Carousel. To sum it up: My theory is that StickNMove, Carousel and Step Up all have their respective Xero instrumentals from the '98 CD, having neither Phoenix nor Kyle on them. Slip is the odd one out and I don't get that song at all in terms of bass. Now when I focus on it I feel like it's playing all the wrong notes. That could have been Kyle doing his thing, that, in my humble opinion, doesn't go along with the guitars too well, but might also be leftovers from the basic track Mike had provided, maybe around a little bass sample they had recorded ar some point like Hurry or P&A. The bass loop in the verses definitely show that there had been a bass guitar involved at some point, but not when.
  17. Mark vs Chester in terms of instrumentals: Esaul, Pictureboard and Forgotten share the same instrumental with little tweaks in vocal/instrumental ratio. Those three, I believe, were from the Instrumental tape Chester got. As for the other three we have nothing to compare them with. There's also either Part of Me or Step Up (can't remember, most likely the latter) on a Xero CD. Also I remember Slip (with Mark) was on a Hybrid Theory Demo, but I'm not sure. This would be a hint on how long the Xero song stuck around. My theory is that Slip and Stick'N'Move were recorded alongside the tracks from the audition tape, with Stick'N'Move having evolved to the instrumental we hear on Chester's version. I even think (depending on whether it was a 3-Track or 4-Track tape they sent Chester) SnM on HT20 could have been from the audition demo as well as the three mentioned above. If we add Carousel and possibly Part of Me (or whatever song I can't remember) to this session, they might have used those instrumentals for the 7/8/9-tracks as well.
  18. Hot take opinion, nothing here proven right, but... Wait weren't those recordings from a Xero CD but they had Chester and Mike re-record the vox? Sure, they're a different batch of songs than the audition tape, but the instrumental sound quality screams Xero 1998 to me, like not comparible with demos like Untitled or P&A. But then again we have Stick'n'Move with Chaz, which to me sounds like it could either be a polished Xero demo with updated samples, but at the same time also most definitely be from the HT pre-album era in terms of brighter, less muddy guitars. Do we still have this amazing time table you made, with all the songs an their dates from the JB book?
  19. Didn't he claim on the interview you guys did, that he in fact was not on the HTEP? That Brad had re-recorded the bass way simpler for the eventual release? This guy is a mess. Has been in the interview, still is with this stuff. Like sure he played on Chair, I can so hear him go hard on that bass. I would've wanted him to have royalties but this is plain nonsense. If you go to court, do -like- a little research before claiming something that can obviously not be true (pointing at Chair ffs). If we wouldn't know better I would say he did the car alarm on that track, which is also absent because it isn't fcking part of the demo. 1999 is a sht date anyway, when Part of Me had been around earlier. Okay I think I'm raging too confidently but c'mon what is this guy's problem?
  20. Bohemian Rhapsody had May and Taylor involved, that is something completely different. This right here I find just disturbing and for that reason I hope this project will never be. But yeah like someone already mentioned, try reddit, quite a few people leave their conscience behind before entering that place and attention-seekers are everywhere, so that might be exactly what you're looking for. This forum is certainly quite the opposite from what I have experienced. Not to forget that we would have to deal with hoaxes, like people will be convinced there really was a letter and they know what was in it. I think everyone frequently on here and every mod is working their hardest to protect the legacy and privacy of LP and their families with honor. And now imagine someone like Talinda randomly getting told what someone is interpreting into what they think a real letter was, when there in reality was none. Imagine how people like Samantha on the other hand could use this to claim that LP and Talinda are hiding things they are not. So big nono from me too. Sorry, I hope you can find something else equally exciting for you with less controversy. I'm confident that you and your team are capable of coming up with something very creative, after all you came up with this idea.
  21. Yes, thank you very much ♡ I had looked on the wrong page
  22. Hello everyone, I'm looking for a video (source most likely LP facebook page, date 2013-2015 somewhat). It's a short clip taken by Mike in which he proposes Brad (shown with his orange relic strat) to play "the new song" or something similar. Brad then sings "we thought we had it all, but we only wrote one line" over a fingerpicked chord progression in cm I think. If any of that rings a bell and perhaps a source can be referred to, anything helpful is appreciated. Love & peace
  23. Man.. I yet again can't stop reading too much into this. Like what's with that departure from Warner, how come there's an EP with LP, FM and MS (never thought I'd see such sht compilation), why does it to me feel like songs like Crossing A Line and Already Over as singles are just Mike trying to get away from the band. I'm so lost in the unsureness about the future of LP. Might also just project personal stuff tho haha, but can someone help me not read to much into this? I feel like I'm super irrational at the moment
  24. I think we should just get ourselves some if we want to, so we can show Warner there's appreciation for more content in those boxes. If the Lost Demos vinyl goes well they might open their mind a bit about LP and their anniversaries, most importantly their fans. I think it looks pretty rad, I hope rhe price is fine as well and I'm keeping my eye open for one, don't know how RSD work tho tbh. We have a record store in town (Germany), that is part of the RSD shops but if the LP is limited to 10k I doubt there will be this exact record in town.
  25. I'm so glad that people put an LP label on it to get clicks. Isn't that just THE spirit of music?
