That is actually standard practice in Western Europe (minus Spain and Portugal) and Central Europe - it's even 10 or 10:30pm curfew for many outdoor shows in Germany for example.
So much happened yesterday I also need to digest some of it yet. I don't even know where to start but it's simply been incredible. Not only meeting you again after far too long (+ @[AndOne] again on this tour after many years) but also pleasure to meet a few of you pre- and post-show too. The fan event at the Box Park was also really cool - it felt like a LPU Summit without it being officially labeled so.
Regarding the show.. I'll kick off negative to finish way more positive: the extra production was a great touch BUT they should've rehearsed this at at least one show prior - half of the cues were false and killed it imo, especially during The Catalyst. Also the crowd, at least for my liking, wasn't as good as I expected - Berlin topped that imo, especially in terms of movement. Let's move on to the postives and those are far greater than the negatives: Emily can be real proud of herself - out of the 7 performances that I saw so far since last September this one was the best performance of her that I have seen so far - barely struggling with anything but instead fully focussed to nail the parts. Mike had so much fun last night he could barely contain his excitement and it fully transmitted over to the crowd A Place For My Head was the treat I was excited for the most! Only From The Inside missing now for me out of all the songs performed on this tour so far and then it's all complete.
Thanks to everyone for an incredible weekend in London - until next time!
I am missing Düsseldorf on Tuesday in favor of Nine Inch Nails but will be back from Frankfurt onwards.
Until then.. here are my videos from last night:
