hahninator Posted September 2, 2012 Share Posted September 2, 2012 On the 2nd, Linkin Park plays in Edmonton, Alberta for the SONic BOOM festival at the Edmonton EXPO Center. MUTEMATH will be joining them and hopefully Incubus too, but Incubus regretfully had to cancel their last appearance in Calgary on the 1st due to Brandon totally losing his voice. We'll send some good vibes his way so Incubus can get back out there ASAP. This will be LP's second show in Alberta ever, following their show yesterday in Calgary. In Calgary, LP played US Set A again for the second show in a row (after Englewood) and for the third time in the last four shows (Dallas would be that third show). Something interesting about US Set A is that it is currently the only setlist out of the three it is one of two sets (US Set B, now with 'IN MY REMAINS' in there) to feature all seven songs (or partial songs) the band is playing from LIVING THINGS right now: 'LOST IN THE ECHO', 'IN MY REMAINS', 'BURN IT DOWN', 'LIES GREED MISERY', 'VICTIMIZED', part of 'UNTIL IT BREAKS' over the intro of 'Waiting For The End', and 'TINFOIL'. So really having US Set A make a lot of appearances on this part of the tour isn't a bad thing since Linkin Park hasn't ever played in Alberta before at all, making both Calgary and Edmonton brand new territories for them. Speaking of LIVING THINGS, here's a good video of 'LOST IN THE ECHO' at what looks to be like a pretty cold and chilly show for the band: This show could continue the run for US Set A or the band could change it to any other setlist, so we really can't guess what they'll play today. What we can probably be sure of though is Mike Einziger from Incubus coming out for some shredding on 'Bleed It Out'! Now who isn't excited as fuck to hear the DSP of that? The bill for SONic BOOM is almost exactly identical to the X-FEST lineup in Calgary: Linkin Park, Incubus, Silversun Pickups, Young The Giant, The Joy Formidable, Fun., MUTEMATH, L.P., The Pack Ad, and Zerbin. Is anyone from LPLive going to the show? After this show, the band has an off day before playing an arena show in Vancouver, which they've played several times over the years. The day after that, the 5th, the Honda Civic Tour comes back in full force in Tacoma, WA before closing out in California for three shows. Lost In The Echo is easily one of their new live staples. The band just feels completely in-sync and performs at their best every time I've seen the song played. It's easily Chester's best screaming song in years! That would be awesome.no someone else on LPA posted this: the setlist was.. place for my head with you somewhere i belong new divide given up an i cant really remember the order of the rest annyways amazing show, thanks for coming to Canada Linkin park !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I assume setlist is what was put above but maybe In My Remains instead of WTCFM like at some shows. Can confirm that the set list was exactly the same as it was for the Calgary show. Also surprised to not see anyone talking about it but Incubus has now cancelled playing at last nights show and tonight's show. It's fake The guy I quoted is also from LPA, the one you quoted is the fake one because there is a video of them playing APFMH. APFMH wasn't played at Calgary. As for the setlist, I seem to remember that Bleed It Out/Sabatoge was the last song before the encore and One Step Closer was the show closer, so opposite to what you have up top...But I mean maybe not take just my word for it, the whole thing including the M&G was a just big fantastic blur to me in the end! yeaa , they didnt play when they come for me at all Setlist is: 01.
