LPxDC Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 From the LPU Facebook They've been a big hit at the Summit's, and members who couldn't attend have been asking us to do them online... so we're excited to finally announce http://lpuauctions.com/. We'll be auctioning off all sorts of rare and unique LP gear exclusively to LPU members. The first auction starts this Friday. Take a look at some of the items, and register now. Excited? Is anyone going to try to bid on anything? Sound off in the thread! Quote
Alex21 Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 i would love to participate, need to save money Quote
Astat Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Aww, screw it. I get paid this week, and I've been saying I'd get around to re-joining LPU for a while now, might as well do it now to get in on this. BRB, gotta grab my Visa card. Quote
Mr X Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Not a bad idea 1 year to the day since I joined LPL Quote
GingerLP Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I really don't understand why some things are so high, but others are low. I'm interested in the HT shirt, nothing else. Quote
lgr Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 meh! i'm not that fussed... haven't got the disposable income, and I only like signed stuff if it's done front of me. Quote
Mr_wil5on Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Only thing I really like is that Canadian Award. Besides that all the other stuff seems to be a bit more expensive. Still not a good reason for me to go back to the LPU Quote
lgr Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 also, I'm not even an LPU member so... :/ Quote
wiiesel Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 some nice items there... I should start to save some money Quote
1996_LP Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 just had a look. The HT tshirt looked cool, until i saw the minimum bid: $70!!!?!! Fuck that, even if it is signed. Jesus, talk about expensive. Bit of a crappy auction where everything has a set price. Quote

Jesus, talk about expensive. Bit of a crappy auction where everything has a set price. Those shirts routinely fetch those kind of prices in eBay auctions. In terms of LP-related shirts, the only ones that I can think of that are worth more are Grey Daze shirts. Quote
GraDoN Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 wow awesome this almost made me join the LPUX!!!!!!! ...not way too expensive imo, but if there are people willing to pay that much then go for it. Quote
spraypaintninkpens Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 overpriced items are overpriced. Quote
FireHawk Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 (edited) supply and demand is probably the price....its not like they printed 999999999999999999 hybrid theory t shirts obviously the goal is to sell the small quantity for the most money Edited September 30, 2011 by FireHawk Quote
andydlp Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Not a great deal of interest on these forums anyway by the looks. No longer part of LPU myself but even so, prices are a little steep Quote
LPxDC Posted October 1, 2011 Author Posted October 1, 2011 i dislike the minimum bidding costs. But hey what do i know? Quote
sotrix Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 The current bid for drumsticks is insane and I'm surprised no one bid on the Meteora display yet. Quote
[AndOne] Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 I almost got me one of these Meteora displays on ebay about 2 years ago. Shipping price to Europe ended up being insane so I didn't buy it in the end. LPU Auctions is a great idea, I like it. Quote
SergSlim Posted October 1, 2011 Posted October 1, 2011 Wow, I got that Signed Minutes to Midnight Promotional Poster... Didn't even know that it might cost so much. Got it at the LPST auction. I liked those more than this auction If I had extra money I'd consider buying Live In Texas Canadian Plaque. Quote
GingerLP Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 The amount that people are paying for some of this stuff is mental, and I'm a collector. Quote

GingerLP Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 Callin me cookoo ? j/k But yeah especially the drumsticks...WOW have these people heard of eBay? $20 all day Still I ain't joining just to get the Plaque HA!! Hahaha. The drum sticks are what im mainly talking about. Same with the Signed book. I got that book for $11 including shipping (Huge bargin considering it was shipped from Englad). Yeah, $20-$35 and they are usually used I'm not hating on the idea, i love it. Just the people who are bidding are going a bit over the top. Quote
