HT vs Reanimation

I like P5hng Me A*wy, Wth>You and 1Stp Klosr more than their HT originals, while I am 50/50 about KRWLNG vs Crawling

 

But I think the rest of Reanimation is being pwned by HT.

 

What's your opinion?

The only remix on Reanimation that I completely like more than the original is Pushing Me Away's remix. There are parts of other remixes that I like though, such as:

 

- Jonathan Davis's part on One Step Closer

- Crawling intro

- Mike's In the End and Forgotten verses

 

I love Reanimation, but I think HT is so much better.

I thought Reanimation was an overall improvement on Hybrid Theory as soon as it came out, and I still think to this day it's the band's greatest work. I'm looking forward to seeing if ATS changes that.

It doesn't appear to be blasphemy to say this, so...

 

I liked Reanimation far more than HT. Overall. This includes cutting out those retarded skits and X-Ecutioner Style because that just isn't good. I like the Opening and NTR/Mssion a lot though, despite how simple they both are.

 

As for the remixes, I generally see the Reanimation versions as superior in most cases, except for In the End, Crawling, High Voltage, and Place for My Head. Those remixes just...are strange. And/or not good.

i liked reanimation more because you can really just zone out. it paints like this fluid dreamscape and you can kind of just close your eyes after a long night and disapear into the music.

 

for HT when i play that im generally in my car in the mood to scream at something and just rock out with my cawk out.

I'm not sure... I definitely love Krwling compared to Crawling, it has a sort of epic feel about it.

the only track I prefer in Reanimation is P5hng Me A*wy. Although 1 Stp Klosr has a better bridge than it's HT counterpart, it just takes far too long to get into the song.

Forgotten > FRGT/10 - almost equal... i love the soundscape of the rmx, but the orig has great riffs

A Place for my Head > PLC.4 MIE HAED -I kinda like parts of the rmx better, but the new verse ruins it for me.

High Voltage (Remix) > High Voltage (Original) > H! VLTG3 - hands down, worst remix ever!

WTH>YOU = With You equal but in everyway awesome.

Papercut > PPR:KUT - love the basslines & new riffs in the remix, but it doesnt have the power of the orginal

Runaway > RNW@Y - rmx doesnt have the 'gonna runaway' bridge. loved that xD

In my mind the only remixes better than originals are Points and Pushing.

Also on Reanimation, Crawling's intro and One Step's bit with Jon Davis are also epic, as are the female backup vocals to My December and Steph Carpenter's guitar bit in By Myself.

For the record, the Forgotten remix is terrible and I hate it.
