NimaLP Posted May 24 Posted May 24 I hope it doesn't turn out like the Berlin 2014 show, however, this time they really announced that it's gonna be real and really happening, which makes it worse if nothing comes out of it. Quote
KeysToTheLinkinPark Posted May 24 Posted May 24 Still think that it wasn't the brightest idea to pick that concert. They were just getting started. They are now in a way better chape and they have way more FZ songs in the set. They should have filmed Wembley instead. A lot of bands did that due to the legendary status that stadium has within the music scene. Way more appealing Quote

Way more appealing i agree. including the currently released 3 new songs, recent concerts especially Rockville would be better release rather than this show. This show is more suited to the level of how 2003 Nottingham is. Quote
Stranger Posted May 26 Posted May 26 at this point, i hope they only releases this as theater/cinema exclusive and maybe streaming platform. if they're about to do DVD/CD releases, 2025 shows will be much way better in terms of the setlist and how the band in a good shape! but yeah, it's up to them! anything that will be release, surely we gonna love it! bloodbath Posted May 28 Posted May 28 I said many times before that it was too soon to release some sort of live album/dvd and some of you didn't understood my point. Glad to see that the tide has shifted. I'll be glad to see anything released but it has the feeling of "could have been even better". Quote
LPLStaff Posted May 29 Posted May 29 The show (and band) have evolved so much since then. May be worth it to show it in theaters or do something with it, but film and release Wembley now. Quote

javignacio Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I think the biggest "thing" of the sao paulo shows was the "come to brazil" thing. I hope the proshoot does not get lost Quote
linkin_boss Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Another 2 months have come and gone, and I'm surprised this hasn't come out yet. I thought the reason of not streaming any of the Euro festivals was to not take away from this release. I wonder if they are hesitant because well, as the band has played more together they sound better and are playing more songs from the newest album. Hopefully it releases in any form, because the live stream had piss poor audio. It feels like ever since The Hunting Party we get less and less proshots of full shows. Quote

OML had many full shows in that short amount of time. Argentina, Southside, I-Days, Werchter, and some other clips here and there. I %100 agree that Sao Paulo was too soon for a release like that, even though the energy was amazing. Performance-wise, any show from 2025 beats it by a mile. Perhaps they were just trying things and see how that would look like and then film a show with good preparation. Anyway, I guess plans might have changed and I think maybe we should move on from this show being released. Quote
Rasputin 93 Posted July 6 Posted July 6 I was not a fan of them announcing it to be used for a theater release to begin with. Announcing to release a show before the recording takes place has not worked in their favor in the past either, so why keep doing it? Record something, announce a release once you're actually set with it. Quote

And in the case of Two Faced it didn't goo as good as it could be. Alex messed up the octaves in the first pre-chorus. Quote
thigolpbr Posted July 9 Posted July 9 I would really like the band to release a collection of proshot footage from all eras of the band. 🙂 Quote
bloodbath Posted July 10 Posted July 10 (edited) What I would do: showing up the release in theaters, then release a different show (Wembley, Berlin...) for an official DVD and include songs that aren't on the 2025 setlist anymore (LOATR, BTH...) as bonus tracks. Edited July 10 by bloodbath Quote
Rasputin 93 Posted July 10 Posted July 10 Releasing a different show would require to have used a respective recording setup for those in the first place. Quote

I guess, to a certain extent, though from the single live songs they've released from different shows, and even the reels that colin has been posting, it seems they have recorded a bunch of shows from many different angles, I don't know if that's enough for proper professional release, but it has been enough to get these songs looking pretty damn good on their respective videos. LP has recorded every show in audio since mid-2007 and every show in video since 2010. That isn't indicative of any release. They just have enough to capture the show themselves (plus what festivals film, they take that footage too that is used on the screens - like what Pinkpop just put out too for example). If they film something for a YouTube release in the From Zero era, it requires a lot of extra work before the show to capture that song the way they want. To our knowledge, the only shows professionally filmed by the band on this From Zero touring cycle have been the Sao Paulo shows. Nothing in Europe was recorded to the point of like, Brazil or Milton Keynes 2008 or anything. Maybe a song or two from Europe makes their way to YouTube but they definitely didn't film anything professionally with the intent of a release from Europe. And that's a shame since the venues were so iconic, but they must have plans for something to release. It doesn't seem Brazil is happening if it's been 8+ months and we've heard nothing. Quote
felipeintheend Posted July 25 Posted July 25 We literally met some Netflix crew inside the stadium mentioning they were recording it for a movie (not just a live show stream) and myself gave a testimonial in video to be used in the movie (?). We all know movies take a long time to be finished... I did ask a contact from Warner Brazil and they simply have zero info about it. LP has been using this strategy of keeping everything confidential (including their own label worlwide) to avoid leaks. So who knows? Maybe they just let it go... Same happened to the PR02 DVD which we got recently. They planned to release it, but with Reanimation and LIT happening behind the scenes, they had to just archive it for the future. Quote
