2024.11.15 - São Paulo, Brazil (Allianz Parque / From Zero Album Release Show) [+ Livestream]

Recommended Posts

What a fantastic day to be a Linkin Park fan. As I write this, Linkin Park's first album in seven years is only hours away from being released here in humble New Jersey, and even though much of the world is finally hearing the record for the first time, there is little time to step away from LPLive coverage. And that's because on top of the release of the long-awaited From Zero album, Linkin Park have COME TO BRAZIL. The band celebrate the release of their new record From Zero with two sold-out shows at São Paulo's Allianz Parque, the first of which goes down Friday, November 15, 2024, for their first headlining show in Brazil since 2012, and you can join in on the action with not one, but two livestreams! We'll get more into that soon...

Linkin Park began their short South American run of 2024 shows with their first performance ever in Colombia, at Bogotá's Coliseo Medplus on November 11, 2024. The beautiful fans in Colombia finally got to experience the magic of a Linkin Park show in their own country, as they brought new hits like 'Heavy Is The Crown' and 'Over Each Other' and old classics like 'Somewhere I Belong' and 'In The End' to the packed arena. The band continued their streak of not playing the same set twice, continuing to adjust the setlist by moving the normal rotation slow down into the encore, meaning Bogotá got a rare encore performance of 'A Place For My Head' to top things all off. 'Casualty' replaced 'Given Up' in the setlist - a fair trade given how heavy a toll either song must take on Emily's voice! Mike even rapped a verse of 'There They Go' by Fort Minor over the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out' to give the fans of Colombia one final treat. Perhaps the most special moment of the show, however, came as a result of technical difficulties. The sound system seemed like its countdown hit zero during the second chorus of 'The Emptiness Machine,' when almost everything seemed to malfunction. The band carried through the song (likely unaware of the issue), but despite the issues the crowd in Bogotá sang even louder to make up for the lost instruments. After a few minutes of idling around for the sound issues to be resolved, the band got things back up, and delivered a second, proper performance of the song. It's things like this that can only happen live, and everyone from the band to the crowd seemed to have a good attitude about it!

South America has always been incredible to Linkin Park, and this year is no exception. But Brazil always takes things a step further, which we're going to see in action once again in São Paulo. Linkin Park's last venture to Brazil was in 2017, closing the first leg of the One More Light Tour in South America with a second appearance at the Maximus Festival in São Paulo. The band brought brand new tracks to the stage for the first time on that run, including 'Good Goodbye' and 'Talking To Myself,' and made sure to open the show with a bang with the beloved 'Fallout' and 'Roads Untraveled' mashup intro leading straight into 'The Catalyst.' The band's prior shows in Brazil didn't go quite as planned like the Maximus Festival show did, though. The band performed two stops on the Circuito Banco do Brasil in 2014 in Belo Horizonte and Brasília as part of The Hunting Party Tour, and were plagued with technical issues at the first show in Belo Horizonte. Songs like 'Burn It Down' and 'Final Masquerade' were littered with issues, 'Burn It Down' in particular being quite a messy performance. The second night in Brasilía went much smoother, and after having being dropped due to issues the night before, the 'Castle Of Glass Experience' received an update with the speeches from 'The Radiance' by Robert J. Oppenheimer and 'Wisdom, Justice, and Love' by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Brazilian fans were also treated to some of the new tracks off of The Hunting Party like 'Guilty All The Same' and 'Until It's Gone.'

The band's last (and first) headlining appearances in the country were in 2012 on the Living Things World Tour. The band made four stops in Brazil: São Paulo, two nights at Rio de Janeiro's Citibank Hall, and Porto Alegre. The band performed all three sets they had rotating through these stops in Brazil, giving fans a full taste of the Living Things Tour. Across three sets included unforgettable moments, such as 'A Place For My Head' opening Set B and 'With You' preceded by the Game Of Thrones theme music opening Set C. Rare Living Things tracks like 'In My Remains' and 'Victimized (w/ QWERTY)' were also played. In 2010, right at the start of the A Thousand Suns World Tour, the band made a few festival stops in South America, including the Starts With You - Music and Arts festival in Itú. The band unleashed brand new songs like 'Wretches and Kings' and 'When They Come For Me,' while also gracing Brazilian fans with their first tastes of Minutes To Midnight tracks like 'No More Sorrow' and 'Shadow Of The Day.' 'Bleed It Out' returned as the closing song after 'What I've Done' closed out the first few shows, and Mike sang the chorus of 'Burning In The Skies' over the bridge. Linkin Park played their very first show in Brazil in 2004 as the last stop of the whole Meteora World Tour, performing at the Chimera Music Festival. Sadly, no recordings of this show exist, but we know the band opened the pits up that night by giving Brazilians the nastiest set they had ever seen, including the 'Blood, Anger, Suffering' outro transition between 'Figure.09' and 'From The Inside,' the Hip-Hop Medley featuring parts of 'Step Up,' 'Nobody's Listening,' and 'It's Goin' Down,' and even a cover of 'Wish' by Nine Inch Nails to over 80,000 people in São Paulo - their biggest show yet up until that point! Brazil has always had an important place in Linkin Park's heart and history, and there is no doubt that continues tonight.

Perhaps the single most disastrous performance in Linkin Park history: the infamous 'Burn It Down' from the Circuito Banco do Brasil show in Belo Horizonte in 2014.

At this point, anything you can actually dream of happening could be a real possibility in Linkin Park's current form. Their last few shows have broken a lot of precedents - doing things that the previous lineup simply never would've even considered. At one show alone, in Arlington, Texas on November 8, the band debuted a song live after ten years with its original guest ('All For Nothing' with Page Hamilton) as well as a world premiere of a non-prerelease track in 'Casualty.' And even outside of the live stratosphere, the band have been breaking walls down by shadow-dropping a new single called 'Two Faced,' which is perhaps their most Hybrid Theory/Meteora sounding song they've done since... well, Meteora. What's even more exciting is Emily commented on Linkin Park's post about the release: "Let’s play this song live tomorrow! 🇧🇷" All signs are pointing to Brazil getting something incredibly spicy at this show, whether it be a live debut or the revival of an old, forgotten song. Songs like 'No More Sorrow' or 'From The Inside' would be welcome surprises as a rotation song, or perhaps another cut from The Hunting Party, and with two nights in the same city, the band is bound to flip things up a little bit. What are your best guesses as to what'll go down tonight for the release show? Is 'Two Faced' going to be the only addition, or are they hiding more up their sleeves?

The 'Casualty' live debut in Arlington, Texas on November 8, 2024. 'Casualty' is a definite in these upcoming sets - will the 'Two Faced' live debut hit just as much?

Luckily, you'll be able to find out for yourself as this show will be livestreamed! There are actually two livestreams confirmed for the show: a limited livestream hosted by Linkin Park themselves and a full broadcast from the Brazilian channel Multishow, streaming via Globo. Linkin Park's stream can be accessed via their YouTube channel, and will also be linked below. The description reads, "Join us for Act 1 from our show," likely meaning their stream will go up until 'The Emptiness Machine' - perhaps something else will be shown after? When that ends, we can head to the Multishow/Globo livestream to keep up with the rest of the show. According to a comment by an LPLive member, it may be behind a paywall for those outside of Brazil, however. No matter what, an account will be needed to watch it via the Globe website, so if you plan on trying to watch the stream through there, be sure to sign up and be prepared. A countdown to the livestreams can be found on the YouTube video for Linkin Park's stream, and the Multishow stream can be accessed hereEDIT: You should be able to watch the full livestream from Brazil for free and without signing up from this link.

Who's going to the show?! LPLive staff member lpliveusername will be there - hopefully he doesn't melt the whole place down himself! Weatherman Rogue Soul reporting in a cloudy and humid day with otherwise warm temperature, so be ready to escape the muggy weather in the venue and stay hydrated! Linkin Park have a second night in São Paulo tomorrow as well, so expect a lot of news to come out of Brazil in the next few days. The band will be back next year as well, having just announced their 2025 From Zero World Tour dates across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. The band has one more show for the year before they pack things up, take things easy, and get some rest before a very busy touring schedule in 2025: the freshly announced Soundstorm Festival will bring the band to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the first time in their career on December 12. With the new record finally out, we can't wait to be back on board, getting ready for tour, and bringing you guys updates on all the crazy moments going on at every single show. Be sure to follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebookfor the latest updates from the band and their upcoming shows, and sign up on the forums to join the discussion!

The new album From Zero is available now!

"Linkin Park's stream can be accessed via their YouTube channel", so are they going to livestream it through youtube as well, or will it just be linked (the globo stream) on their channel?

Can someone help me?  I saw the livestream starts at 18:15 according to multishow.  What time is that in United States Eastern Time?  Just want to be prepared for the stream.  Already signed up and logged in on my Roku TV

two separate livestreams. Linkin Park’s ends after TEM on their YouTube channel worldwide. Globo livestream is hosted on a completely separate website and may just be a completely different broadcast, and possibly on available within Brazil

any link to watch the full show outside Brazil?!

From Romania, I checked that link with 1ClickVPN Chrome extension (free) and it works, after making myself a free account. The downside is the bitrate of that stream. It seems at most 400p.

I'm hoping that somebody will help us with a better stream quality.

Hey... I'm not sure if these links are correct. Multishow and TV Globo are two different channels and only TV Globo is linked on this topic.

Multishow should be this one: https://globoplay.globo.com/multishow/ao-vivo/7339131/

It shows a message saying that a Premium subscription is required.

Verified your link also. It works just fine. It looks to be Multishow not TV Globo.

Does anyone know how to rip the show? Is that in anyone's plans? I don't think it would happen, but it'd be a shame for this show to get lost in the shuffle

Need to know this as well. Ripping is in my plans but so far all I am getting is error messages lol. It seems to be beyond my pirate abilities.

I'm running my VPN to Brazil and set my city to a random Brazilian town when I signed up, so far it looks like it's working. Updating the main thread with the link

Are you going to record it by any chance?

I can try but I also have three different social media sites to post updates on about this AND the other livestream, so I'll see if its feasible for me to do so!

EDIT: should be able to watch it for free and without signing up here: https://megacanaisonline.com/canal/assistir-multshow-tvonline/

I'm watching the official Stream in VLC Media Player right now, fingers crossed it keeps working

I registered at globo, started the stream and streamdetector showed me the URL that I put in VLC. It appears to be working.

Casualty live is so fun, I feel like it would go great with Victimized or QWERTY for a mashup. That aside, loving the Brazilian crowd... omg, I hope to one day attend a show over there, these guys know how to rock.
