RogueSoul
Things are heating back up in the Linkin Park world as we enter From Zero release month and the next leg of the From Zero World Tour! As the band begins to kick the tour back up with shows in Paris, Dallas, and São Paulo, they will be offering up some promotional performances in Europe before the big shows begin. The first of those will be for the NRJ Music Awards in Cannes, France on November 1, 2024. The event is held at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes and will broadcasted on TF1. Now, we're not entirely sure ourselves what the situation is with this performance. Based off of the announcement, it seems unclear whether or not the band will be performing in Cannes themselves or if the performance will be pre-recorded. It's looking more likely to be the latter, though what that entails itself is also uncertain. Billie Eilish, who has also been announced as a performer at this event, will be performing a show in Atlanta the day of the award show, so it seems at least some performances will be pre-recorded. The band has been rehearsing thoroughly for much of October in preparation of this next batch of shows, so they'll have had plenty of time in Los Angeles to have done some sort of private performance for this show - perhaps similarly to their performance for the Rio+Social event in 2012, where they showed a couple of songs from a Third Encore rehearsal ahead of their Music For Relief / LPU show a few days later. The band will likely just be playing one song - most likely from the new album - and it really could be any of the three we've heard so far! 'The Emptiness Machine' has taken the world by storm, so it seems like the most likely contender given that it one of the band's biggest songs in their career. 'Heavy Is The Crown' is another possibility, knowing that it'll be the focus of their next promo performance the next day in London for the League Of Legends Worlds Opening Ceremony. New single 'Over Each Other' could receive its "live" debut as well here, seeing Emily take the spotlight at a different type of event for the first time with the band. We'll just have to wait and see what happens! Linkin Park's last performance at an award show was in April 2017, when they performed at the ECHO music awards in Berlin, Germany, performing 'Heavy' with Kiiara. The NRJ Music Awards kick off at 9:00pm CET on November 1, 2024 and will be broadcast live on TF1. On top of their performance, the band are also up for the award for Best International Group, up against Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Måneskin, and OneRepublic. For those outside of France, we'll be seeing if we can find anyway to tune in from abroad so we can watch as well - be sure to follow us on social media (Twitter/X, Instagram, and Facebook) for coverage on the band's upcoming tour dates and the release of From Zero on November 15! Sukotto
Pro shot of Over Each Other would be cool!
Qwerty18
It's a very pop orientated show in general, so I'd put a penny on OEO. But TEM could definitely have a shot due to its sheer popularity. Let's see!
LPLStaff
Seems a bit audacious to play 3 days in a row with Emily already right off the bat, even if it's just one song today and one song tomorrow. Probably pre-recorded from something. Maybe this past week in London? Or in LA?

KeysToTheLinkinPark
Perhaps something similiar to the German Echos where LP performed in 2017
LPLStaff
LP is not in France today as they are doing press in London for Worlds 2024.

max91
That performance looked so like being in Korea to be for a French music awards. (just in case is a joke i mean that for being a french music awards its weird to see them playing a live performance from Korea)
aaaaaaA
„The Emptiness Machine” from Seoul's Inspire Arena was broadcasted during the TF1 NRJ Music Awards.
LeonardoMF93
So, they broadcasted for this award a proshot of The Emptiness Machine from the show in Korea. No complaints here! I think it’s better than a studio-recorded performance. Edited Friday at 11:25 PM by LeonardoMF93

LPLStaff
It's from the Incheon, South Korea performance. Yes, the quality is not good. The band should post this in HQ on their YouTube.
Sessin
The soundtrack has been adapted. Last scream "just to watch me bleed" + "Fallin' for the promise of" was not sung "live" by Emily. In the video, there is a cut to a different view at exactly this point, so you can't see it.
