Another From Zero vinyl has been released for the album, with an obi strip on it.

I guess the exclusive for this version is just the OBI and nothing else. you can get this Magenta release in other stores in some other countries. But if you really interested in buying this version you can get it with limited poster in one of the stores.

Hand-numbered And limited to 300 is the most appealing to me 😃

I don't know if buying this just for the OBI (the blue strip) is better than for example the same color version but with a poster for this example?

Since it’s hand-numbered the value is higher. Anyway I have already preordered 4 different variants of Vinyl - that would be to much, one might say 😉

 OK. I thought first that it is a japan release (yeah stupid me :)) since the editions with the OBI thing are mostly common for the Japanese releases. This one is availble only in the UK.

 

There is also a version of it with a posster, I mean not with the OBI but the same vinyl edition with a bonus poster.

i mean, i would rather have an alternative version like a remix album, instrumentals/acappela, bonus tracks than some different versions that the only difference is the color, but ok...

This shop adds its own custom side labels to the releases they receive. The same magenta vinyl edition was shipped to a variety of indie stores, so it doesn’t seem like Warner considers this a separate version.

There are collectors dedicated to obtaining every version of the album, vinyls, CD singles, cassettes, etc. Most of these collectors have profiles on the lpcatalog website.

 

I consider myself a collector and have nearly all the CD singles the band has released, with a total of 90 items, and I've already bought six different versions of From Zero. Just to give you an idea, the person with the most registered items currently has 1,716. You can be sure he will try to buy every available version of From Zero.

I have been collecting back in the days, but was to get all b-sides on the singles, radio versions, instrumental... Like New Divide single or Given Up single to get Valentine's Day live version. It was cheaper in the old days. I would like to get The Emptiness Machine single, but it's too expensive. So with From Zero I am only going with one vinyl version :)

Absolute respect for you guys, I don't have the patience nor the money to have every single variant of everything.

Same as you, I always try to collect every B-Side. I only repeat releases if they have exclusive bonus tracks or something like that, but I'm not interested in having absolutely everything. 

 

PS: I have a "rule" that I don't collect singles with DSP b-sides because for me it's useless if I can have the full show uncensored and not just one song. But that's just me!

A good part of my collection was built between 2008 and 2013. It’s a bit unbelievable how much CD prices have gone up since then.

 

Today, if you don’t buy directly from the seller and end up buying through a reseller, the item’s price triples.

 

For example, The Emptiness Machine CD single was being sold for $10 at the shows, and now it’s $80 on eBay.

 

These days, you have to be more precise about what you want to buy!

The amazing thing is that it’s not a marketplace reseller, but Amazon itself.

 

This just happened a few days ago, it's brand new haha. You didn't "miss" it, it just popped up like Friday or something.
