hahninator Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 H.I.P. has confirmed that Linkin Park will be touring Japan in November. Mike has also just added on KROQ that the band has a full Asian Tour booked for this year. Stay tuned for more information as dates will be released soon. Linkin Park's last visit to Japan was for Summer Sonic 2013, but the last time they headlined anything besides a festival was for A Thousand Suns in September 2011. It has been a long time coming. BeardyWilderness Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I will also be in Japan again in November. I wonder if the timing will be right... Quote
daniel624 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Hope that Hong Kong is included in the tour, might also go to Japan for the show! Quote
hahninator Posted February 16, 2017 Author Posted February 16, 2017 Hope that Hong Kong is included in the tour, might also go to Japan for the show! Hong Kong brings huge crowds for LP. It's a shame they didn't get a 2015 show for THP Tour. I hope they can find a balance like Metallica did, where they can play both China and Hong Kong. It's time for India to get a show. Quote
RogueSoul Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Bumping this because Linkin Park Japan and the promoter have said the announcement will come in Mid-April. Quote
hahninator Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 Band will be in Japan next week. Looks like that's when they'll be announced. Quote
marzo23 Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I wonder when they will announce another concerts on their Asia tour Quote
Coizu Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 another censored shows? Are... are you serious? You know that China and Japan are two different countries? Quote
FLAME-XIII Posted May 31, 2017 Posted May 31, 2017 I think if Mike has said about full Asian tour, then they will come to China...or not Quote
hahninator Posted June 15, 2017 Author Posted June 15, 2017 "Mercedes-AMG will also sponsor the band’s tour across Asia again." https://youtu.be/8L0MUhbddxE Quote
marzo23 Posted June 15, 2017 Posted June 15, 2017 So it will be a bigger tour than only 10 shows I would say Quote
marzo23 Posted June 27, 2017 Posted June 27, 2017 Now over 4 months we know that LP will play in Tokyo but nothing about other dates ?!? o.O That is mysterious! Quote
hahninator Posted August 2, 2017 Author Posted August 2, 2017 Basically, they're still discussing with LP what the plan is for the tour...if they cancel or not. https://twitter.com/HIPpresents/status/892690114542948354That's the statement from today. Quote
Geki Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 Chester's death was so sudden and unexpected, and tragic, that the band really has had no time to think about anything, most likely. Mike and the rest of the band seem very broken by it and it's only been a short amount of time. They also had tons of touring ahead for this album since it just came out, so it's probably very hectic for them to change or cancel all of it, probably even some stuff we didn't even know about. Astat Posted August 2, 2017 Posted August 2, 2017 I can't imagine they'll end up playing these shows. If they continue as a live band it's going to require a pretty lengthy regrouping period, which I'm sure will culminate in some type of public re-introduction of the band. They're not going to schedule anything else in support of OML after everything that's happened, so I just don't see the point in them going out of their way to throw something together for 3 shows just to honor a commitment.
