This will be Linkin Park's first true North American tour since 2014. The band performed at a series of festivals in North America in 2015 towards the end of The Hunting Party touring cycle. The last full tour they did was in the summer of 2014: the Carnivores Tour featuring Thirty Seconds To Mars and AFI. It'll have been three years since the band has done an honest North American Tour - it's long overdue!

This tour is a bit of an interesting one. The One More Light North American Tour is a mixture of the traditional summer amphitheaters (including one of LP's most played venues - the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ being played for the ninth time this tour) and a few arenas that the band missed out a chance to play on in the winter of 2015, when Chester unfortunately broke his leg and the entire tour was cancelled after three shows. The band is making up a couple of the dates on that tour, but also including other arenas they traditionally don't play.

After all the speculation, the rumors of the Linkin Park / Blink-182 tour seem to not be true. However, there are are several gaps in the tour where the bands could play shows together.

The two cities updated on the presale map of cities that are not announced yet are Harrisburg, PA and New York, NY.

Machine Gun Kelly will be opening for Linkin Park on this tour. This will be the first time he joins the band for a full tour, but it won't be the first time he's played with the band. When Linkin Park did a special show at the Ventura, CA stop of the Warped Tour in 2014, they invited different artists onstage for each song - one of which was MGK. He rapped his song 'What I Do' over the extended bridge of 'Bleed It Out' - it's pretty likely we'll see a similar collaboration happen on this tour! MGK is about to release his third record Bloom is being released on May 12, a week before One More Light, so you can expect to see some new material on his end, too.

Catch MGK on 'Bleed It Out' at 2:50 in this video. Will we see another collaboration like this?

Who's pumped? If you signed up for pre-sale tickets when the markets were announced last Friday, get ready for the pre-sale that starts next week (Tuesday, May 9). Make sure you don't miss it! Linkin Park's One More Light touring cycle starts this Saturday in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Believing in a random guy from a Blink 182 online forum was a mistake, hopefully they do something together in that gap, like. Mmm coming to Mexico lol. What do you think about MGK? I don't know anything about him.

Of all the places in and around LA, why the Hollywood Bowl? Tickets are so overpriced and there's not even a pit. Saw Carnivores there and while the show was good, the venue left a lot to be desired for a rock show. Can they not sellout staples center or even the forum anymore?

Again, I'm just speculating here but:

-Unless the Harrisburg and NYC dates are added outside the current dates, 7/29 and 8/4 are the only open dates that make sense in terms of routing and avoiding 3 shows in a row (which they aren't doing)

-Blink is playing Lolla 8/4 (in Chicago)
-Fall Out Boy has a show at Barclay's (Brooklyn) already scheduled

-Playing with Blink in NYC on 7/29 and Fall Out Boy in Harrisburg 8/4 are within the realm of possibilities, given the little we know, and the potential of a second news drop. I wonder what the venues would be. MSG is booked up both of those nights. Barclay's? Red Bull Arena?

My complaint is how in the world is Charlotte, NC (9 hours away from me) close to Nashville, Birmingham, Memphis, or Chattanooga? The 1st presale sign up gave me a false sense of hope that they would be coming local. But alas, if MGK is the only support, then I am not bummed as much.
