  1. It's always horrible when someone dies, but the silver lining is that maybe I'll never have to sit through another horrid Slipknot song again.

Hello Troll, you sure talk a lot of shit for someone who hasn't put out platinum records, headlined arenas or headlined Download Fest in the UK.

  2. Shaq (basketball player/rapper) starred in Shaq-fu! The best fucking video game ever.

Shaq has also been in countless videogames...I loved playing as him in NBA Street so I could beat the shit out of everyone else.

  3. 1. New Divide

    2. Lockjaw

    3. Not Alone

    4. Across the Line

    5. Blackbirds

    1. Anyone else agree that this is the most complete and well-done song out of the post MTM tracks? Not only that, it translates really well live. Isn't that what matters most in an LP song or any song?

    2. Mike released this to the LPU in 08 after trying out Pro Tools 8. Showing love to the fans. Not sure how this would play out live, may just be better off as an interlude on an episode of LPTV.

    3. Great LPTV interlude, lack of live drums. The synthesizer bridge is a tad annoying. On a positive note, Joe's scratching comes back into the fold.

    4. The lyrical content is strong but I can't visualize this in a live setting. Same with NA and LJ but with ATL, I keep on thinking of "dana-nana-nanana". Feels too much like a demo.

    5. Mike's rapping really brings out the best in the song, but it felt too incomplete. The intro gives a live feel but it's unnecessary. Blackbirds would've been better in LPU 9 and have ATL be the 8BR song.

On that note, why the fuck are people still assessing NRL? I'm so glad it isn't on MTM. TLTGYA ends the album with such an impact that Mike's "time to shine" is inappropriate after the LP epic of TLTGYA. Mike singing lead vocals would not be strong in a live setting, and Chester would have to go backstage and wank or something, because that song would seem to leave him bored.

  4. KISS wound up having to sue and deal with almost 2 years worth of legal red tape just to get SOME of their stuff back - they never got all of it.

What if LP came to Brazil and used KISS's stolen equipment? I imagine some KISS pyro is among the stockpile of stolen goods.

  5. I doubt there will be anything 8-Bit Related this year because the touring will be pretty much geared towards the new album.

As far as I know, the only band I know of who toured in support of their own video game is Iron Maiden on the "Ed Huntour".

  6. Thoughts on both.

FM: On the two LP albums leading up to TRT, there was one song per album that was mostly rap (HV remix and Nobody's Listening). People wanted to see what hip-hop talents Mike could bring to the table and Mike was anxious to do so. So he put out TRT and the singles that followed got a lot of play and appreciation.

DBS: Everyone knows Chester and his vocal talents. The hype and demand came from Chester talking about all these songs he wrote in 2005. Once JK hit the scene and it was revealed that Chester's project isn't a solo act but a band collaboration, that built the hype up more. After the various Club Tattoo gigs that followed, the hype grew more and more. After everything that led up to the release of OOA and OOA finally dropped, it was met with a mixed reception and a job poorly done by the label and management. Because of all this, fans wrote off DBS and have now fixed their attention to LP #4.

Verdict: Both are great in their own ways, despite how OOA was putting Talinda on a pedestal.

  7. start a discussion thread in General LP Discussion whos the better guitarist. This is a discussion about Carry Me Away not whos better!

Start a discussion thread in the General I Don't Give A Fuck Discussion on who's a better guitarist. Opinions on who is better than the other won't be changed based on "evidence" proving Mike over Brad or viceversa. 4 pages on Mike vs Brad is just some goddamn irrelevant shit.

  8. Mike posted on his blog:

Some of you have started hearing the leak of my new track with Cypress Hill, “Carry Me Away.” Lots of good reviews, which is always nice.

I met the guys sometime around the year they joined us for the Projekt Revolution Tour. I’ve been a fan of Cypress since their first album (which I had to sneak out to buy because my mom wouldn’t let me listen to songs with titles like “How I Could Just Kill A Man,” “Pigs,” and “Hole In The Head.”

For our collaboration, I sang the chorus and produced the music (no samples–all original instruments, BTW), and they did the verses. Look for more updates about the song and their album here:

How is the title "Pigs" offensive? Did he not have the "3 Little Pigs" read to him as a child?

  9. Some of us who are under 16 are perfectly sane non-tweenies who don't spam. :P

I joined LPU at age 11 and I was a spammer-idiot until I was like 13...They should just filter out the redundant comments, such as:

    "LLLLLLPPPP COME TO BRAAAAAAAZIIIIIIILLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

    or the ever popular;

"Will you guys make another Hybrud Theery??????????"

    God damn!

  10. it sucks when u get exposed to bands like metallica that make you see how much stepping up Linkin Park could do. While you may not like them or their music

God they try to keep things fresh, take requests at m&g's , just pure epicness. they always 75% of the time come through on requests providing they can practice it in their tuning room and such but man LP really should take notes on how those guys do their thing

Also keep in mind how "unvaried" their setlists have been over the course of their career. Their setlist "staples" include: Sad But True, One, Master of Puppets, Nothing Else Matters, and Enter Sandman.

I wish I could put Seek & Destroy up there but they left out Seek & Destroy for some of their 1997 setlists.

As of lately, they've been working in old rarities to please the old-school fans...which is what LP will probably do by the time they hit their 20-year mark.
