  1. There's another big question that I want to ask but it is WAY too dickish to ask him this and hope to get any other replies other than something reminiscent of Trent Reznor's AMA. See if you guys can help me with delivery: You've said a lot of things leading up to the release of THP that later came to be untrue, other than saying that the record would be heavier and a return to hard rock. When you made your blog post about rock music dying, you attacked indie alternative bands for being the closest things we have to rock music, but then you went and toured with 30STM and AFI. Later on, you even partnered with Echosmith for business. After saying that this is an album meant to be played live, you played only half of the songs and dropped half of those throughout the tour, even shortening Until It's Gone after all the hype for it (lyric video, music video, live video). And here's the part where I don't know how to not sound mean, so help me on this one: So, how do your words taste?
  2. Could you guys say what your questions are now, so we aren't all asking him the same question multiple times? I was going to ask who he'd like to tour with, about Pictureboard, and about the set lists
  3. I've been waiting for him to use Reddit for a while, unfortunately there was a big fallout on Reddit a few weeks ago in the AMA section. Fortunately there will be more people asking real questions instead of COME TO LOS ANGELES.
  4. Cool since this will be the first festival Mike has done since the FM comeback.
  5. Honestly I don't think it should be that hard for Brad and Rob (they would have the toughest job of all the band members) to relearn the songs. If people on the internet can tab out the guitar parts and do drum covers, then the guys who wrote them can easily practice it. It isn't like we are asking Brad to learn fingerpicking and sweep picking in a week, if the guys can practice ALITS and GATS then they can do these songs that are at the same level.
  6. Half of that is stuff we post in the LPU Wishlist page, but yeah live videos/DSP recordings of material is the main focus here.
  7. This was a pretty good chat with Mike
  8. Making of THP, what about KTTK premiering, new FM stuff, and Ryu's verse from Welcome being released.
  9. Yes to both. Go with Soul's idea above me.
  10. Yeah I went there. So are we counting events like this that aren't exactly concerts?
  11. Not sure if this counts since it isn't a stage performance or concert, nut Chester and Phoenix have performed The Messenger for a radio show (?) before and Chester has done it solo, just not in concert either. Also, it should be FEWER than 6 members in the title.
  12. Yeah I've yet to see a webcast or similar proshot where the audience is audible unless it is an LP release (along the lines of Road to Revolution). Even some TV shows leave the audience mics off until the end of the performance
  13. I doubt they would do the album there, or even a substantial portion of the album. THP was recorded at Larabee and EastWest studios.
  14. A Xero song with Mark Wakefield on it would be interesting
  15. Great episode, a little bit on both shows (instead of two minutes for five shows total). MTG gets played in a lot of LPTVs but will not be played live. And of course that was great with the dedication to Christopher, Robot Boy at the end was a good song choice. Very high quality episode.
  16. Brad played his Intro solo to APFMH three times before the tour was cancelled . But yeah, he likes ALITS and WID. He seems to have fun on BIO after 8 years too.
  17. Yeah its just a tidbit, that's the difference between "Linkin Park Music" and "Linkin Park Songs".
  18. Anything on a setlist coming in?
  19. Shouldn't the show be soon?
  20. Yeah that was the part. The NIN version on Broken has that part a bit louder, but it isn't played that way live by any of NIN's guitarists. I could tell that Mike was doing it in this video but wasn't sure if he was doing it in any others.
  21. I like this one better. Judging from everything that Mike says in the video, it looks like the whole concept behind Welcome was more to just have fun than to be a whole return to the rap scene. Of course, it's both, but it seems like he's just having fun with everything.
  22. Not sure if anyone ever said this before, but Deadsy is one of the bands on The Family Values Tour. Alec Puro (from the MALL soundtrack) is also in that band. Cool. Anyway, when LP would cover Wish, would Mike always play that chunky little riff at the end of the song, or would Brad ever play it? Look at the RaR 04 video if you don't know what I mean.
  23. MOTD, if real, better be on LPU XV... But why do we suddenly think this is real again?
  24. This is basically a way more in depth version of the wishlist from the other thread, I like the little history on everything. Maybe there will be something special like how Eminem had Shady XV which was the 15th release on his label. Although that one wasn't all Eminem.
  25. ALL YOU FUCKIN' LAMES GO, AIMING AT MY AIMING AT MY NAME, KNOW, CAREFUL WHAT YOU SHOOT FOR CAUSE YOU MIGHT HIT WHAT YOU AIM FOR is somehow deemed appropriate for China? It's virtually the same thing as Rebellion, GU, and HHH minus the politcal lyrics.
