Movistar arena Isn't that big, its full capacity is around 16.000 people. it was almost sold out so I bet we were around 14.000 people in Chile.
As for Maquinaria 2010, I believe I read in the press that there were around 35.000 to 40.000 people in there. Of course not everybody was on LP stage, some people stayed the whole day in the other main stage or in the side stage.

I just found a photo gallery of the show, in case you would like to store a couple of pictures for the guide:
And a friend of mine taped the start of the show plus TTM with my cam:

Well that's what matters. I certainly can't say I would be disappointed in person. They could open with In Between and I would still love it just because I was seeing LP live LOL
TTM isn't a great opener, but between the excitement of the crowd and the fact I saw it open for the first time I got really pumped up. In my case, it was mostly because as they opened with it I inmediately thought about how many setlist changes they would introduce in comparison to Argentina.
However, after 7 years without having a show they could have opened with Heavy and still would have got a positive reaction from the crowd.

I've made a quick one. Seems like there's no high res photos of the show that features all the bandmates. One with the Maximus Festival logo and another one is clean.
Also, I made cover art for Santiago, Chile too.
The one for santiago is really nice... I wish we had a SBD recording of that.

Excellent pre-show post, as always. I might add that 2010 show was the first time they did Burning In the Skies over BIO bridge (Little detail, but please let me believe that my first LP show had something special lol). That being said I don't hold much expectatives of a setlist change, considering most of the shows that they have in schedule for these first months are festivals. However, It would be neat to have Mike do something a capella or on the BIO bridge.
Its a little dissapointing to see that they're playing just wastelands from THP, as they didn't tour that album in South America besides Brazil. Heck, we didn't even got a LT tour (but fortunately I managed to go to Argentina). I though that at least Final Masquerade would make the cut.
Anyway, I'm going, so I'll be tweeting if they change anything from the night before (@linkinboss). I usually tweet in spanish but I can do english just fine for this purpose. BTW, same time zone as Argentina show, if you want to check my tweets. Let's just hope there's a nice surprise in the setlist.
EDIT: I was just watching Argentina's Show (I was able just to hear it yesterday), I'm gonna miss the giant screen with nice graphics on the stage.

What does that mean? Justin Timberlake is a 35 year old married father, and he makes pop exclusively. Adam Levine is 37 and Maroon 5 is way way further into pop territory than a song like Heavy is.
To be fair, their lyrics are way too simplistic too.
I don't hold any grudge to pop in general. But aside from emulating a generic pop song without the use of like 6 producers (like some other artist do), sounds like something that anyone else could have wrote. Kudos to them for proving that you don't need that many people to produce a song like that.
But, The lyrics aren't nothing spectacular, the melody is short and repetitive (Aside from the intro is nothing to write homework about), and I certainly dislike the post-production on the voices. I wasn't expecting too much, so I'm not that dissapointed.
I just hope that non-single songs have a bit more complexity on them (musically-lyrically), or at least some spice that makes them stand out as something that couldn't been done by literally anyone on today's mainstream music.

I would be down for some acoustic versions of already existing songs. Most of the demos released lately are just small pieces of instrumentals, which didn't get very far in composition. I'd rather have acoustic versions of their songs, or maybe studio versions of the extended songs that they play live (like faint with the extended outro, which has been a staple since 2007).
-
I just came back to say... woooooooohoooooooo . I'll be going, hopefully I'll leave a couple of live updates.
it's been a long wait to see them here again, and its awesome that finally they'll headline their own show here. my wait was a tad bit shorter just because I went to argentina 2012, but there's no place like home
-
I'd say its unlikely, but I would like them to release acoustic songs like they did with Final Masquerade.... getting the infamous "reggae" version of Burn it down would be cool too
-
I agree. they should at least rotate between FM and UIG, over the ballad medley which is pretty old by now.
-
You mean they're not changing it much from the shortened form of this setlist they played last week?
I mean in general, aside from full papercut, from the inside and a line in the sand, the changes during THP tour haven't been many. not to say they're playing just one setlist per tour leg, instead of the 3 rotating setlist. Anyway, I'm quite pleased with rebellion and from the inside coming back
-
seems they aren't changing that much the setlist but if they play GATS and APFMH i'm good with what they're playing... I mean, that plus ALTS, Rebellion, FTI and full Papercut that already have been played.
I'm wondering how well are they playing with the guitar tech instead of brad
EDIT: from what Mark posted on facebook seems the show the guitar tech is pretty off
-
I don't get why they haven't played an acoustic show yet. after six studio records they have plenty of material to choose to do a decent acouostic show. an one off show with broadcast or webcast would be great.
-
Yep, because they'd totally be rehearsing a song they have no intention of playing during a 3-day cram session for a tour, and purposely take a picture of that specific song and post it on their Instagram with the caption "Brad rehearsing a new song for the upcoming tour." You think they go into rehearsals without their setlists already prepared, and just figure out what songs they're playing on the spot? Mike was doing the Ableton Live sequencing for the Carnivores Tour setlists 3 MONTHS in advance. If they're rehearsing War (which I've already proven they are), they intend to play it on this tour, and have for quite some time.
Also, note the presence and placement of the word "almost" in the post you just quoted...
This answer is just missing:
Anyway, I'm really looking forward for them to play war. it'll be nice to have another song from THP around

No Muse use 4K cameras for Live At Rome Olympic 2013
yet the concert wasn't released in 4k, as today.
Probably isn't the first band to use these cameras, but is the first one to stream a show in that resolution in any way. I believe there are some movies on 4k too, but that's about it.
-
brace yourselves... the largest size file you've ever downloaded is coming?
-
even tough this has been a trainwreck, I got my refund from Daniel, I can say that much.
And yeah, it kinda pissed me off that they didn't wanted to release the live album as I can't see them playing live. it would be cool to know what really happened.
-
UIG because I think the lyrics are terribly repetitive. The song wasn't even intended for THP.
Final Masq because I saw it 9x on tour and am tired of it..... It doesn't have a lasting effect for a song like WFTE has, for example.
the next tour they'll probably add intro/outro and theny you'll come to like the song xD?

"Definitely not the best show we've ever played." - Chester, 18/10/14
Did you skip the last few pages?
The uStream link, though. Chester sounds like a screaming girl.
There's no Catalyst refrain. Maybe Chester forgot.
I didn't. I meant chester/mike didn't say anything about it
-
yeah I also liked a lot the wid solo. one of the highlights of the show, for sure.
so... we reached the end of the show and no words about brad's absense, that's lame.
-
and they messed the bridge too... omg... I hope they can solve these problems in time for tomorrow...
-
The guitar didn't have any problems whatsoever on Final Masquerade. Mike's keyboard was playing the wrong sounds.
oh, my bad. xD I couldn't tell the difference with the awful audio quality of my stream.... I guess my internet conection is to blame too.
-
What happened?
guitar stopped sounding at least 3 times during the intro/first verse.
mike didn't do the usual instrmental intro to his solo, btw.
-
whao.... final masquerade intro was really messed up. I guess they're having a lot of technical issues too.

Its been some days and I can't completely accept it yet. It has been really rough as a fan of his music, I can't even possibly imagine how hard it has been for his friends and family, as no one saw this coming.
