I wonder what the process for getting these higher qualities out was. It is definitely not like they just had the videos we had before in higher quality and they had to reupload them. The new version of Numb has a different aspect ratio and a vastly different color grading for example. Here is the exact same moment from the Numb video, and as you can see the new one is much more vibrant.
Also what's really odd and I wonder if they are already aware of that: You get the original video upload when you select 360p instead of a downsampled version of the 4k version. Which is cool, that way it is easy to compare both versions. But the original 360p upload is totally out of sync with the audio. I assume audio for all versions is used from the new version while the old video had a shorter break in the beginning or something like that (that's why the screenshots have a different timestamp).
I wasn't able to find similar differences in other versions, but they seem to use the same base version of the video file for all quality options and I was too lazy to find a good upload of the original video quality.

LP just upgraded the videos for "Somewhere I Belong" & "Breaking the Habit" in 1080p & "From the Inside" & "Faint" in 4K in conjunction of Meteora 20th Anniversary.
Somewhere I Belong got updated again and is also available in 4k now.

Still Alive is better than In My Head
Incidentally, IMH was mixed by Manny Marroquin who mixed OML
At this point a track being mixed by Manny is a given. Manny Marroquin mixed basically everything Mike was involved with since Living Things with the exception of The Hunting Party and some other songs here and there. He knows what he is doing and Mike obviously likes working with him.

Overall, the excitement of Lost, the epic box set, and more are way, way bigger than any of these small mistakes. Surely the box set isn't printed with the placeholder text. The DVD title, LPTVs, etc can be fixed ahead of time digitally. It's an extremely exciting time.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't want to shit on everything and complain. I am as excited for this whole thing as everyone else on here. I am also just really worried that we get a similar situation as with the HT20 where an otherwise amazing release is going to be tainted with unnecessary problems.

What errors and mistakes are you talking about?
- the original leak on the warner store
- the delay of pretty much everything
- the computer thing that had the weirdest story line while the whole thing was buggy
- accidental "Instrumental" on the tracklisting on Session printed on the merch
- the cover art that was published with the "Frontside" (or whatever the wording was) still being visible
- "Mark Fiore Meteora Awesome" placeholder on the discs on the product pictures instead of "Work in Progress" (got partially fixed by now)
- publishing the video geoblocked (which seems like it got fixed now)
And that's just the things I can think of from the top of my head. I probably forgot a couple of things already.

I doubt that anyone in the band was involved in such a decision and I would hope they sort it out sooner than later.
But jesus christ, the promo phase for M20 is just full of errors and small mistakes. I am not complaining about the content we are getting, which is great, but the presentation and attention to detail has been horrible. Like don't they have some sort of quality assurance? I am really worried about the packages we will get in April, especially after the HT20 fiasco.

They could be still processing the better quality, that's why you see only 480p right now.
They've been uploaded 3 days ago. A channel this big would get processing prioritized I guess and they should be done by now.

New (unlisted) Youtube videos on the LP channel including the original LPTV episodes that have never been on their channel and extended versions of the other LPTV episodes. Sadly everything seems to be 480p only.

Fighting Myself at 1:55 is wild. It's been there the whole time lol. Mike recording the riff.
Does someone know why episode 1 and 5 are missing from LPs youtube channel? All other episodes seem to be there?

Can someone give me a reminder where that shot of the board came from? Is it from an LPTV as well?

The response was basically "Wow! To be told that by Chester himself, I can't imagine the honor Mike felt."
Most people think the person who is singing is also the person who wrote the song (in general, not just for LP) so for most people the main songwriter for LP was Chester.

I think Astat was mentioning that the vocals for the wizard song were never recorded.
I think this is a matter of definition what you count as "recorded" or not. They definitely recorded something since, as you said, you can hear prior recordings. You can clearly hear recordings of harmonies in the background when he is singing the second part you mentioned. What people most probably mean is that the session or the recorded vocal tracks were never saved. I.e. they opened up the project on the computer, recorded the vocal tracks for fun, and then closed the project without saving it. So yeah, it was technically recorded at one time, but the current assumption is that those recordings were never properly saved for future access. But then again, who knows. As far as I remember the only confirmation we got that it wasn't recorded was from one interview with Mike and by now we should know how unreliable those one off answers about topics that were never discussed elsewhere are.

The title is registered on ASCAP's Repertory, while the rumor about Demi Lovato having a song in the movie spread at least two days ago on Twitter, where a close friend of hers quoted a tweet (later deleted) about it, so it seems pretty legit!Awesome thanks. I thought with the new Songview thing all songs registered through ASCAP should appear on BMI as well and vice versa so I didn‘t bother to check both. Seems like it works differently from what I expected.

The second one is rumored to be a song by Demi Lovato, called "Still Alive", with Mike credited as writer and producer.
I saw that on twitter recently as well, but I haven't found any credits for that song yet, so I am wondering where that information is coming from. I probably just looked at the wrong places so I would appreciate some pointers.

How do they not? They are a part of Linkin Park’s career. Waiting for the End and Fine are in there. It’s comprehensive about Chester, it isn’t just Meteora.I missed those. So I thought New Divide was the only non-Meteora reference which made it stand out.

a new puzzle. but if you click that pink note, it'll take you to TikTok. i know it was a teaser trailer back on monday (feb 6). But I wonder what's new on the upcoming Monday. and yes, someone from discord discovered a new puzzle.
Here's the link: https://www.linkinpark.com/?frontpage=true
There is no new puzzle. They just added this hint towards Monday, so we will have to wait. In addition they made the discs next to the WIP DVD clickable (links to the Lost video) and the Christmas ball on the shelf got clickable (links to the merch store).

Finally heard Joe say in this QA that they don't particularly care for the spatial audio mixes of old albums. So glad they're not pushing that gimmick personally, it's so dumb
The interesting part about that was also that they seem to not know anything about the Atmos version of Hybrid Theory. But I agree with what he said.

Bieber and Cyrus aren't even the artists being played on radio stations. This take is so dated it belongs in a museum.
Flowers is played quite frequently here in Germany as far as I can tell. But it's also a great song so that's fine.

You clearly don't understand AI.
If you say so, lol.
If they include New Divide in the training data it was still a conscious decision to include it. Also just because it is "AI" doesn't mean you don't have any control of how the output looks like (hint: you still have as much control as you want). The AI won't throw out a finished video that they are forced to just upload. There are a couple more manual steps involved. But since you are an AI expert (which you are clearly not) and I don't know anything, you were probably already aware of that.

What's really interesting are the other music videos they reference. The BTH reference is obvious, but there are also some SIB scenes etc.
But what really confuses me are the New Divide references. How do those fit it?

another thing that caught my attention right at the beginning of the interview on KROQ is that when mike said that they played 300 shows in 365 days (probably related to 2001) and we have as a base here in the forum 165 shows in 2001, how many more incredible shows the band may have done in that period. wow.
Because that is simply wrong. We have no idea how that 300 shows in one year thing started (at least I don't know) but it makes no sense and is not true and I am pretty sure that even the band realised that at one point. I vaguely remember that they admitted in an interview that while they played a shit load of shows, it wasn't 300. So I am surprised that Mike is coming back with that wrong trivia.

Short rant about the Warner store:
They somehow think it's a great idea to ship all their European orders from the UK even after Brexit. So shipping to Germany for example costs 17 Euros which is already ridiculous. And since the box set costs more than 150€, you also have to pay import taxes/custom fees/whatever on top of that. I guess in the end you pay a premium of like 40-50 Euros to get the box set from the label directly which is ridiculous. I try to cut out another middle man like Amazon so the band can earn more money, and what do you get for it? A premium price. Amazing.
I guess having their home base for the EU in the UK made sense like years ago, but Brexit happened a couple of years ago and they had time to sort their shit out. The majority of European people live in EU states and they don't accommodate for that.
I'll order from another shop most probably then. What was the process of getting replacements for the HT20 box set back then when you ordered from Amazon for example? Does someone remember?

It deserves to be on first places in every single chart. This one song beats all those pop Cyrus/Bieber type shits floating on radio stations.
Ok boomer. I mean I also would like the song to succeed and everything but the whole "Current radio music is shit compared to what we had back in our times" thing is so bad.

Warner Music Fixing "Hybrid Theory 20" Box Sets... Again? ("LPU Rarities"?)

That is exactly how it worked? If you bought it from a third party, how is Warner supposed to know about your purchase and your contact information? They can’t so they created a sign up page were you were able to register for replacements but they were only able to contact people who purchased it from them directly. I think there were people on here who registered for those replacements and also got them, even though they bought it from somewhere else. If you didn‘t get that information it is probably up to the company who handled distribution in your region.
