Actually I agree with them both, I don't think everything should be mega-polished, but I do think they were lazy/sloppy/hurry with Living Things. It's better to wait and get great album than actually get album every 18 months. I understand when people complains about LT, but not the ones that complains about Recharged sound. This remix album came from nowhere, the tracklist with the remixers/guests wasn't a secret so everyone could guess how it's gonna sound like (okay, except ALTNC Reboot lol). It's not like people sat and waited for this for a long time without to know nothing. This is a remix album or even niche-remix album, if you like it - listen, if don't so don't. It's like there are people who listen to the studio albums and never to the live albums, so the band should stop from releasing live albums? no. There's no such a thing custom-artist, people should stop the expect to get what they want from the musicians. Especially Linkin Park, which everytime sit on another style for a while. Nothing surprising to be honest. Even if the band will make tomorrow samba EP it's not a surprise. This is what cool in their music, they just do whatever they want - ATS is the best example. There are a few bands that have the guts to release the ALTNC Reboot on EDM/Dance/*word*step/whatever album.

This could be only if they have enough b-sides to put in the LPU CDs and the singles. Let's take LPU4 for exmple: if Standing In The Middle was a b-side of P.O.A. single, the LPU4 was only live tracks and remix. Or let's get back to LPU9, is it so great without ATL? You meant they should use the b-sides as b-sides, which of course I agree with. In the other hand they are releasing the LPU CDs every year (and singles not every year), I don't think there are others bands that do that (?). They can do something in the middle like ATL in LPU9 and MTM mastered for iTunes. To release 1/2 b-sides in the singles and in the LPU CDs. The other tracks in the CD will be the additional value. That way the singles will be "worthy", and LPU CDs will continue as usual. But to do something like this they should improved the other tracks value.

I'll try to be clear:Even/because that this is exclusive club CD, they should make the CD with more "class". I said they should put better stuff on the CD and release the leftovers (stuff like the very short instrumentals and the all the "nanana" demos) as LPU downloadable content. That's all.

It's also depends on what demos, LPU9 is the best example: 1. A-Six (Original Long Version 2002) - Full instrumental demo. 2. Faint (Demo 2002) - Full demo. 3. Sad (By Myself Demo 1999) - Teaser 1:08. 4. Fear (Leave Out All The Rest Demo 2006) - Nananana. 5. Figure.09 (Demo 2002) - Full demo. 6. Stick And Move (Runaway Demo 1998) - Teaser 00:55. 7. Different drums in UIB Money Mark remix (check 00:40 for example).

COG, IBG (Vice Remix) and STB (new verse of Mike) are really good. IBG (Schoolboy Remix) and LGM (after the first minute) are nice. Victimzed weird and ALTNC Reboot funny. Edit: IBG (Vice Remix) has new verse too. Something like 4-5 seconds in the end and the rest are silent anyway.
