The LPU8 pissed me off completely. I was 17 at the time and didn't got the joke, but it prepared me for better jokes like Recharged.

    You know what man

Complaining or whatever you wanna call it sometimes it's positive

Because of the LPU 8 shit storm they gave us an insane release next year.

Mike for sure knows that some fans are pissed off I wonder if he will actually do something about it.

I don't know what's the point of so many remixes/videogame scores/whatever of AO, but for sure he's becoming relevant again.

I rather have this heated discussions about a track than see this forum become a nuclear wasteland like between 2021-2022, where we had ZERO activity from Mike and the band (yes, he produced a few tracks for indie artists, but you get the point).

I miss those shitstorms, they were funny and helped to keep the fanbase alive.

LP might take one or two suggestions from hardcore fans, but it's not like our discussions affected the band's trajectory.

For me, keep releasing stuff Mike, whatever it is.

Exactly, that has always been the point with LP. Don't you like their newest stuff? Wait 'till the next one, you might like it

    We should do a poll:

Which has been your favorite shitstorm in the LP community?

    In no particular order

    -Heavy single release

    -OML album leak

    -LPU8

-Early years LP were the BSB of the nu metal community

I'm sick of listening to every version of AO when, in fact, I am choosing to do so. I could just not listen and wait for the next original interesting track from Mike but instead am coming here to complain and critique the mere existence of these releases, even though he and his label are just following best marketing practices today

I wonder who still listens to every version.

Best marketing practices? Oh yeah every version is blowing up.

We should host a Linkin Park community Purge event. You guys would go an entire year of being nice to each other and to Mike's overused song in exchange of 24 hours of going at each other's throats and posting all the negativity you want.

The member who survives listening to Already Over 24 hours non stop wins.

It's funny because in every era there is something to complain about. Remember when we complained about LPU 8? Or Breaking the Habit (live) on so many LPU CDs? lol

This type of sentiment has always existed. ATS era setlists in Europe to start? People were freeeeeaaaaaking out they weren't changing sets. lmao

    I've survived tons of shitstorms

The very first time one was during the nu metal era.

Other fandoms HATED LP with passion, then MTM made them lost a big fan base, ATS polarized the fans, LT, THP and finally the biggest shitstorm was OML damn that one was huge to the point that even Chester confronted fans.

This situation of releasing 27 versions of the same song is completely nuts.

I dont see myself as complaining it's just my opinion. I love Mike and i still believe that he has the talent to create the best LP album or a fantastic solo album im a hardcore fan i freaking love Shinoda, 23 years of my life dedicated to this band dudeeee what the hell there's no hate in my heart for anything that they've done.

What's your point? Should people only come here to praise what he is doing without any criticism? If people stop coming here once they are unhappy with something, this forum would be completely dead by now.

    Exactly.

This is not a cult, some fans tend to have that mindset and praise every single thing that a band does.

I just hope that Mike does something creative, he has what it takes to do something amazing.

Thats why i am a little bit sad of this route. 27 versions of the same song and counting.

  6. Kinda like @Coizu

It's concerning that Mike is still trying to find new ways to shove this song on everyone throat.

The song was never amazing it was just decent 7/10

Right now it's disgusting, boring and specially annoying.

I would rather have one thread for every news about Already Over. The front page is starting to look like spam.

I know that news are a bit slow but anything is better than this.

Fuck this track, fuck Mike mindset.

    Shinoda destroyed this song.

  7. Take these guys on the road plus Bobby Amaru / Veda

and you got the perfect MS and Friends band.

This is by FAR the best performance ever of RTN, such a killer take.

If Mike doesnt form a tour band with all the talent that he got from all the sessions this would be like a waste of time.

It is true. When OML came out, many hardcore fans didn't liked it, which was somewhat expected, but even outside LP fandom, many people simply though "Not interesting, that sound is outdated and corny".

After July 2017 it became a musical masterpiece, a testament of Chester's last days and their lyrics a jigsaw puzzle about how he was committing suicide and leaving clues about it.

As a proof of that.. does anyone remember that Chester fight back in Twitter and Instagram against angry haters of OML?

The incident at Hell fest was pretty sad too.

And the comments from Sean and Corey Taylor about Chester being angry and sad about the reaction.

I'm not a hypocrite and his death didn't change my opinion of that album I still like the title track and Nobody and that's it.

The live version of Sharp E was really cool too, the rest is trendy unauthentic crap.

    > Mike since 2017 is attracted to every trend.

This has been Linkin Park the entire time.

    Hybrid Theory/Meteora - Rap Rock/Nu-Metal in the early 2000s

Minutes to Midnight - emo-tinged pop rock while bands like MCR and FOB were huge

    A Thousand Suns - electronica-infused rock music

Living Things - more electronic, dubstep elements

The Hunting Party - the only album that doesn't follow a current trend

One More Light - straight pop with a little bit of rock influence, though it did kinda feel like a pop album that hit two years too late

Don't get me wrong, I do absolutely love Linkin Park. But they've been trendchasers since the beginning. The big thing that sets LP apart from the trends they're chasing is that they usually put a unique spin on it or combine things in unique ways.

What I love about every album (except OML) is that they found a way to make it their very own sound.

3 seconds into Papercut or any other song and it sounds like themselves, they created a unique dna.

Blown away with this one, might be biased but so far, no complains, don't care if it wasn't an LP song, I dig IMH quite a bit so this was really fun. Interesting that the german verse on AO seems like complete new lyrics and not a translation, first time ever using a different language(?) Neat.

I'm 99,9% sure Mike doesn't care about the numbers and he's just having fun with those kids.

    He does

He dropped the idea of making another album because of the lack of success that the singles post PT had.

    If you think about it

There's a huge investment of money, time and planning to create these sessions.

Of course he's expecting millions of views.

Mike since 2017 is attracted to every trend. He forgot about down his own thing which was the one that made him who he is.
