Completely floored Linkin Park has not mentioned this once in any email, social media reshare, or anything, but they absolutely hammer anything Mike does by including it in the LP emails and socials. Even sending some Mike-only stuff to the LP email list. What gives? It's been weird with DBS since day one - they didn't even have a website. Why, the label didn't want to pay for them to have one?

My feeling is that DBS was created in a very bad moment in Chester's life. He was going off the rails in that moment i guess that the band and label thought that something negative could happen to Chester if he sticked w them. When it was about Chester they always put a barrier... remember the Grey Daze reunion in 2002? blocking the collab w Slash?

  2. Los Angeles, March 7, 2024

In a surprising turn of events, former collaborator Kyle Christner has filed a lawsuit against the iconic rock band Linkin Park, claiming unpaid royalties for songs he recorded with the group.

Christner, who had worked with Linkin Park during the early stages of their career, asserted that he played a significant role in the creation of some of the band's most renowned tracks. His legal team argued that he was entitled to a share of the royalties generated by these songs.

However, instead of engaging in a protracted legal battle, the parties reached an unexpected settlement. Linkin Park opted to provide Christner with an exclusive Hybrid Theory 20th Anniversary Deluxe Box Set, commemorating two decades since the release of their groundbreaking debut album.

Massive was my most played song last year from LP, it's almost hypnotic and it would fit with the current Metalcore sound heavily influenced by djent/Deftones, like Spiritbox or Wage War

Massive sounds way more modern than anything on OML 😂

One of their best demos for sure such a big missed opportunity

Actually that's my biggest holy grail, the song is done. I don't really understand what happened w Korn Kovers.

Why can't a tribute band exist at the same time as a normal band? Metallica's tribute band Hardwired follows the Metallica tour around and even plays the same cities the night before the Metallica shows. It's genius.

I dislike bands that dont have the approval of the actual band. the HT fake band is already playin in arenas and festivals, thats messed up.

i dont mind cover bands playing clubs.

HT: stays the exact same except for Forgotten being replaced by And One, but it's the live And One with the screams and no weird rap and noises at the end.

Meteora: Lost takes the place of Nobody's listening and More the victim replaces HTF.

MTM: NRL replaces In Between and BIO ends the tracklist

The unmastered tracklist is the one that makes more sense.

APFMH as the last song is perfect.

Absolutely, Lost is a great song, but it has shined thanks to be released on its own. If Lost would have been released back in 03 I'm pretty sure that it would have been easily forgotten because it's "that song that sounds like Numb, but worst". You can dislike Nobody's Listening or Hit the Floor, but no other songs sounds alike, plus it proved that Linkin Park could evolve and not regurgitate the same songs over and over again.

In another multiverse Lost was included in Meteora and it's the most popular LP song ever.

Numb was released as the lead single of Meteora 20 and it got massive success.

If Lost was part of the original release I think that It had a chance to become what Numb is.

Maybe you could reupload this elsewhere, as I can't download it off the site, as the download wasn't saved.

    It sounds very cool!

I found a way to download it let me upload it to somewhere else. Martinez did this edit when the multitracks leaked back in 2017.

I listened to the entire discography yesterday and I had completely forgotten how annoying those vocals were, especially when you're playing the song loud. I also felt like skipping it when they started. I think the song is really good, Mike, blackbear and that other guy did great with it, but would be even better without those samples.

Sorry For Now without Chipmunks s sounds so good check it out

I even replaced the album version w this one, I can't stand the original

  10. Halfway Right sucks ass because of the instrumental and the unnecessary Na na na na (Which felt like they were running out of ideas)

Other than that it isn't better than any other song.

Equal or worst but not better.

OML sucks ass only two great songs and the rest sound like jingle pop disney commercial uninspired music.

About Friendly Fire :  after a couple more listens,  I appreciate the track a bit more, but it is definitely nothing spectacular IMO.

One thing that bugs me is how the instrumental gets no space to breath. From second 1, Chester is singing over a nice but forgettable sonic background. Everything feels compressed into the typical mid-tempo verse/chorus/verse/chorus/bridge/chorus structure. Take the same melodic idea, the same guitar layers, the same synths, but play a bit more with the dynamics,  add some short but sweet instrumental parts, experiment a bit more, and I'd like the song a lot more.

Nothing against the "verse/chorus" thing in itself. But if you go for it, I feel the song need to have other highlights to really shine, and I don't see those highlights here.

This post fits almost every OML song. Awful, basic, safe, repetitive, simple.

They praised that they worked a lot on the vocals but every song sounds like Chester is holding back, singing softly, very quiet.

It's a disgrace that this was his last album.

Can LINKIN PARK still make huge singles post-Bennington era?  Not with the unreleased Chester vocal songs but with Shinoda-led LINKIN PARK new singles.

Highly unlikely. To 95% of the people even the ones who dislike them C was LP.

Mike has been trying to have a hit as the main vocalist and has failed every single time. (Waiting For Tomorrow, Aoki collabs, Invisible etc etc)

The last track that i remember that had success was It's Going Down that one was always on MTV.

But nothing it's impossible in my mind the only thing that could work for him is that if he createa tracks that sound like Papercut.

Fans would go crazy for that.
