  1. This fan made project is really good, give it a chance.

Hello everyone, today I present to you the new live set that I have put together for all of you, as I did before, the set is put together with different presentations, the vast majority have made small modifications, such as intros, outros or mashups, to give it that freshness of something "new" There are also exceptions with edits that go further, like the LOST theme, since I did my best to make it sound like it was really live. I don't know if this becomes a tradition every year, but it's something I've enjoyed doing again. I consider this set a mix of the 2004 tour and how it was LP today, I have decided to do that mix for Meteora's 20th anniversary. That although the entire album is not there, they predominate in the setlist. Basically this "show" would be located after the launch of Meteora20. I won't post the set list today so that the first ones to hear it will be unknown, which will make it more interesting as you immerse yourself in the set and imagine that it is something current where in another timeline nothing ever happened, and the band continues to give a show with our beloved Chester. -TheSoldier

  2. ⬇️ LISTEN ON SPOTIFY

Before iconic singer Chester Bennington rose to international stardom as the lead singer for Linkin Park, he started out in Phoenix, Arizona with his first band Grey Daze.

Grey Daze drummer and best friend to Chester, Sean Dowdell, along with their new lead singer Cris Hodges joins Brad Szollose on Awakened Nation to discuss what it was like to rerecord the tracks Chester and Sean were working on before he died in 2017, going on tour for the first time in 20 years, and Sean's heartwarming stories of missing his best friend, and waiting for the right time to bring these new songs to life.

This is rock history in the making, as Grey Daze had played their last show in 1998 and planned to reunite before Chester's tragic death in 2017, two months away from starting their new tour. The tracks for their new collaboration would lay dormant for 5 years as Sean mourned Chester's death.

This episode includes video footage from the documentary Grey Daze: The Creation of The Phoenix, featuring Dave Navarro, a sample of B12, their new album The Phoenix, also great stories from Cris and Sean on the experience of going back on tour after 20 years. Cris shares the first time he sang for Grey Daze at UFest in front of 15,000 fans, and the ghost of Chester.

If you love LinkinPark, This goes beyond being a tribute to Chester Bennington, this is a friend sharing Chester's last legacy...while Cris gets to sing alongside Chester synced to video footage, as well as carving out his own path as Grey Daze prepares for a new direction.

All I'm saying is, it's a pretty good way to hide an LP reunion show if you need to mark out a slot way in advance without ruining promotional plans.

If they were planning a secret comeback at a festival the info would be secret or they would use a random name like in the promo discs where they called themselves Little Pony or something like that haha

  4. Does the new master sounds like an actual upgrade? i cant find a difference im at work so laptop speakers dont help haha

The only album that i need remastered is Hybrid Theory.

A Manny M. mix of that album would be so freaking badass.

And about this release, it's just okay atleast it wasnt just a random t shirt for 40 bucks.

    Hey, all!

I'm pretty sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find a topic.

What are the best DSPs per year? Either the best performances or unique setlists

We did a huge research a few years ago and we found a lot of cool stuff. check it out.

  6. Maybe Mike performing LP songs with other famous guests?

Similar to what happened @ Hollywood Bowl

The " & friends" part is a really interesting hint.

My theory is that Slye already talked to Mike and asked for Linkin Park and the guys said no.

FROM the business point of view Mike Shinoda with some famous friends playing Linkin Park songs would attract more people than Mike w his almost unknown solo project.

They could definitely do it. Mike's a powerful singer and an emotional writer. It would be different without Chester but it would work and it'd be nice to see these guys getting back into things. I do very much miss Linkin Park together, in whatever capacity.

Im getting tired of waiting. I just need an answer if it's over it's okay ill find a way to accept that.

    but it's getting really frustrating.

This is all correct, except Fighting Myself wasn't even finished in 2002. It didn't have the Chester vocals in the song itself, but they were in the session / multitracks. So when you say Mike said "we cleaned the mix", you are correct because he mixed it fresh in 2022 - that's right. But that song wasn't done enough at the time to mix properly by 2002 standards, if it didn't have Chester on it.

You could argue that it's a "new mix" from how Mike had it set up in ProTools or whatever at the time, sure haha

Mixed in 2023 but with the mindset of making it sound like they were mixed in 2002.

You have to remember he made the songs in 2017 to be on a Fort Minor release, and LP was down with it. It was a Mike Shinoda release because Chester passed and it then became personal with the new songs he was writing. The original hip hop tracks on that album were Fort Minor songs for a fall 2017 release. He could easily do FM anytime he wanted.

What's the point of having two projects were the only band member is the same person?

SOB weren't part of FM they were features.

Mike Shinoda makes more sense since they present him as Shinoda of LP.

Who the fuck knows in 2023 what is FM?

The project is done, it served its purpose.

  10. This is ten percent luck
    Twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
    Five percent pleasure
    Fifty percent pain
And a 0 percent reason to release new music under Fort Minor since Mike moved on already, his relationship with SOB is non-existent.

It was just a moment of time that is not going to happen again, everything that mike will release will be under Mike Shinoda or Linkin Park.

Is it just me, or am I seeing another coincidence with "Fighting Myself" and "Papercut"?

We all know that the working title of "Figure.09" ("Plaster 2"/"Plaster II") is a reference to the "One Step Closer" demo name of "Plaster", which is also referring to the intro riff in the song. And because of that, I can basically be said that "Figure.09" is the sequel to "One Step Closer". We also know that "Fighting Myself" is, basically said, the equal to "Papercut".

But I realized something else that's interesting concerning "Papercut" and "Fighting Myself". The working titles. While they aren't exactly the same, they look very similar to each other. Papercut's working title is "Papercut", while Fighting Myself's working title is "Shortcut". Both working titles are 8 letter words, and they both end with the word "cut".

This was just something interesting that I realized as another very interesting coincidence between the two songs.

    You might be right.

I love Rob's drums on this track I love the delay effect that he does, isnt that unique in the LP world?

I found a YouTube video of "More The Victim" by Linkin Park being played by a YouTuber by the name of Sloth Demon Dump on Rock Band 3, for some reason (maybe he imported it into the game or something, I don't know).

Fellow YouTuber LACG, of whom I'm pretty sure everyone here is very familiar with, especially with his mashups with Linkin Park and stuff, asked him if he could share the stems. Sloth Demon Dump replied with this: "Sure, here you have it :D

So, apparently this song has been, like, forgotten a long time ago that LP didn't find all tracks so them with Harmonix kinda isolated the song but at the same time used some existing tracks of the song (or well that's my guess of why the stems sounds kinda weird)"

I don't think they are the official stems, but they sound very cool.

Also, here's the Harmonix site that he was talking about: https://www.harmonixmusic.com/music

If you click on the "go" button, it leads you to this site: https://rbdb.online

I think that's where he isolated the stems that you can find in the Google Drive link.

they sound like they were created with moises.

    fan made for sure.
