2017.06.14 - Nickelsdorf, AT - NovaRock (Warm Up)

Festival setlist but dropped Battle Symphony, WFTE, and OML. Surprised they dropped OML, wow. Swapped in POA for SIB. -
Too much work to ship everything over for just one show. They'll either just cancel it completely right now and play Manchester on the next European Tour next year, or they'll find a replacement right now. It seems difficult to move a show to a new arena, refund everyone and sell tickets again...and with London O2 not selling good enough for a second night I bet they're weary of trying to do Nottingham, Leeds, or Sheffield on such short notice. I bet they just come back at a future date and scrap this show. Other cool solutions: - Team up with Blink and do a big outdoor GA show at Emirates on July 8th (Blink is off that day) - Play Manchester Apollo that night

Unfortunately due to the May 22nd terrorist attack, Manchester Arena has announced that they will not be open until at least September. As Linkin Park was scheduled to play the arena on July 7th to close the current European Tour, this affects the band. "Following last month’s devastating attack on the city we are now working towards re-opening Manchester Arena in early September. Whilst it was always our intention to honour our existing summer events, the damage caused to the main public area outside of the arena has left us with no other option than to remain closed until September. We are currently working with the promoters of our June, July and August shows to find suitable solutions for events affected by this unprecedented closure. We would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to all our customers and friends for their continued support and patience during this time and our ongoing thoughts and prayers remain with all those affected by the 22 May atrocity." 6/15 EDIT: Linkin Park has confirmed the cancellation. "Following last month's tragic incident and the subsequent temporary closure of the main area outside the venue, Linkin Park’s One More Light Tour scheduled for Friday 7 July 2017 is unfortunately no longer able to take place at Manchester Arena. Tickets will be automatically refunded and should appear in customers’ accounts within 4-5 working days. Other shows on the One More Light Tour are not affected and will continue as planned, including London’s The O2 on Monday 3 July, O2 Academy Brixton on Tuesday 4 July and Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena on Thursday 6 July. Tickets for these shows are available here: https://www.livenation.co.uk/artist/linkin-park-tickets" From Linkin Park: "We have been informed by Manchester Arena that the venue will not be ready in time for our scheduled performance on July 7th. We would like our fans to know that we have looked into every possible option to perform in Manchester, but all comparable venues are booked at that time. Tickets for Manchester will be refunded and you will be given the option to rebook for the Birmingham and London shows on a first come, first served basis. Thank you all for your support and understanding. We love Manchester and can't wait to come back soon!!”

Full set but I think back to the festival main setlist. I think they debut a third set in Poland. -
Something is happening with the Manchester date as everything at the arena until August has been moved. Seems like Blinkin Park UK is likely as Blink plays the arena just after that and is off on July 8th.
-
Yeah Battle Symphony doesn't work well live. Nobody Can Save Me is pretty mellow live but is a better song.
-
He isn't saying it's their sixth album. He said it's their sixth to go number one.
-

Exactly.

2017.02.27 - The Late Late Show With James Corden

Invisible airing soon. -
Mike said he was practicing a new song that isn't even in the setlists yet.
-
Pretty evident that they've rehearsed the entire album.
-
After the show in Berlin and the debut of a new setlist, Mike asked fans what they thought of the sets so far on the world tour. They have performed two (although we don't really have names for either, yet) and could possibly play another one because Mike just announced a Twitter poll. He asks possibly the hardest question you can ask the fanbase.... From The Inside or A Place For My Head. That is, unless "It Wasn't Me" is a troll. There could possibly be a third set that they are working on, considering Sorry For Now and Halfway Right are the only two new songs from One More Light that haven't been played yet. And there is a spot near the end of the main set that rotates between Somewhere I Belong and Points Of Authority...maybe where this new song could go. We will see. So which song do you pick?
-
This. Exactly. People bitched for *years* about not enough LT and THP songs in the set. Whether you like OML or not it's great that they are playing so much of the album live. They said the same thing for all three albums (LT/THP/OML) that "oh they're all made to be played live" so I didn't believe the band this time. Glad to see them swapping in and out new songs, reminds me of the MTM tour. Regardless if you like BID, etc at the start of the show you need to check the videos because the crowd is exploding on these parts of the show. People love it. The thing is, there is never a run of more than 2 songs without a big single. So that's why the casual fans are raving about the show reviews. The band looks energized and the crowds are all over these sets. I think a third setlist with Sorry For Now and Halfway Right, and use the SIB/POA spot to play FTI (or any other "heavier" song that they like from the catalogue) is a good idea. Or they can make another set with a totally different structure (new opener, different encore, etc) like the MTM, ATS, and LT tours had. Like this: Fallout/Roads Untraveled (or whatever intro you want, Mike is so creative he can make a 1-2 min show intro by himself on a computer in 5 minutes flat lol, the Fallout/RU intro is awesome) Talking To Myself Burn It Down The Catalyst Wastelands One Step Closer Castle Of Glass Good Goodbye Lost In The Echo Sorry For Now**** New Divide Invisible Waiting For The End Breaking The Habit One More Light Crawling Leave Out All The Rest From The Inside**** (or anything. doesn't have to be APFMH. LFY, NMS, anything.) What I've Done In The End Faint -------------- Halfway Right**** Numb Heavy Papercut Bleed It Out Seems super easy and then they have 3 setlists.
-
We don't have the full setlist yet. Save your complaints until the full set is posted. Why would they drop SIB for the USA tour? There are two sets. We don't even know if it got dropped in the new set. Calm down. OML was just partial acapella to start the show. Same damn thing as if they did a OML acapella intro or outro to OML itself.

Sharp Edges!
-
Points of Authority!
-
Dropped Battle Symphony for it.
-
The band just premiered Nobody Can Save Me, the seventh song off of the new album to be performed live, at tonight's show in Berlin! The song replaced Battle Symphony in the setlist. To open the encore, the band has debuted Sharp Edges, featuring just Brad and Chester. Eight songs from One More Light have now been performed.

OML acapella opened the show. Mercedes video intro (the 50th anniversary one) > OML acapella partial

Can I take Snapchats like Joe? -
We've received a few messages regarding what Mike wore at the Prague show.... it appears that he was wearing some sort of Fort Minor shirt that is unreleased. This doesn't appear to be a Fort Minor shirt that was for sale online (or at shows) in 2015 when Welcome was released. Could this be from a new line of upcoming Fort Minor merch? Or is it maybe an older design that was never sold? Check it out: (click for full version) Back in 2015, Mike said that he wanted to continue performing Fort Minor shows during the Linkin Park world tours. While no shows have been announced for 2017 so far, this could potentially change after the European Tour. He does still have plans to do Fort Minor, as he said that it would have to fall between Linkin Park albums since he only really focuses on one project at a time. 6/20 EDIT: Mike wore another new, unreleased Fort Minor shirt again tonight in Amsterdam. The trolling continues....

It looks like Linkin Park will debut a brand new song from One More Light tonight in Berlin, their seventh song from the new album following Heavy, Battle Symphony, Talking To Myself, Invisible, Good Goodbye, and One More Light. There are three reasons to believe that the track is Sharp Edges.... 1. Back in May, Brad said Sharp Edges would be a good track to perform in Brazil around Mother's Day, which means it likely had been rehearsed. We covered that in a news post. 2. When Linkin Park posted a picture of Chester on guitar from rehearsals, the caption said "Battle Symphony", but Chester corrected it with a response saying "Sharp Edges." 3. The band did a rare mid-tour soundcheck today in Berlin before the arena show, which is quite uncommon to see before a show. In the picture, we see Chester on guitar and Brad on acoustic guitar. We will see - the show begins soon!

No webcast. I agree. The band is in good shape live and the crowds are very receptive of the new set. The lighting is huge too.
