    DBS Updates

Once again, PLEASE submit news to "Got News?". That section is specifically for news. We cannot guarantee it being posted on the frontpage if you add it to another thread. Thanks!
  2. 1. DBS is playing all shows - they are playing in what we assume is LP's first encore 2. Pooch mixes LP's sound no matter where in the lineup they play. They play first, he mixes them. They play last, he mixes them. Pooch being there has nothing to do with them selling DSP's. 2. It surprises me Metallica sells Sonisphere ones when LP doesn't. Tools of the trade I guess, so no Pori and Knebworth for us. Fortunately for us, there is a big chance both will have audience recordings. 4. They act like some shows will be tough to sell - wonder which ones those are. 5. Hell yeah @ Summer Sonic Festival!!! And Taipei! It sounds like Asia is much easier than Europe to get DSP's from. I find it interesting LP can't sell all European shows like Metallica and Pearl Jam can. Maybe it's the fact they want to do CD's instead of online purchasing like other bands. w00t for DSP's Can't wait. I'll buy Graz, Zurich, Stuttgart and Grafen at the shows

    DBS Updates

Yes they will. DBS is playing in one of LP's encores. Most likely the first one and then LP comes back out on the 2nd one and owns us all with a few heavy songs. No More Sorrow into One Step Closer, anybody?
  4. Unfortunately I don't think they're doing a m&g in Europe.
  5. Since we only have two days until the first show in Istanbul, kicking off the summer 2009 tour, I thought I'd get a discussion going on your favorite Linkin Park live videos from the past year or two. If you have any favorite moments caught on video from the Minutes To Midnight Touring Cycle (2007-2008), then reply with a link where we can check it out. Some of my favorites are: -No More Sorrow opening the shows: -Mike in the crowd during A Place For My Head: Everyone excited for the first show coming up?
  6. Yeah. Weird I know but even if one person that doesn't check their email or the LPU or some random shit sees this and is like "oh damn I won a m&g, sweet" then it's worth it in my opinion.
  7. Thanks MacShepard and Loony for all of your useful information! And welcome to LPLive Hopefully we get some type of broadcast whether it's radio or TV. Maybe there will be a Digital Souvenir Package for that show (more information tomorrow). Adam you should take a screencap of you doing the LPU promo video and use that, hahaha. "Oh, I didn't see you there; I'm just in the LPU chat room talking with all my homies"
  8. http://www.lplive.net/shows/20080824.php Chaz thanked Michael Phelps, all the bands and the fans for making PR08 so much fun after Rob's solo on BIO.
  9. Me too. The LPU has really stepped things up recently. More band chats, more exclusive videos, more giveaways. They have come back from that big like "depression" kinda thing they were in 2005/2006/part of 2007, lol. I didn't win for Graz but I'm hopeful for Zurich, Stuttgart or Grafen. I kinda like the huge M&G's with tons of people and 6 band members versus 2 band members, and 20 or fewer LPU'ers. You get all 6's autograph, you get to shake all their hands, etc the other way. This way you get more time to talk though I guess. There's positives and negatives to both ways really. I'd like to see the 6 system return someday though. It makes sense in my opinion for international shows to have the 6 system at least since LP only goes to some of those countries like once every 5 years or something. 12 members out of 100s get picked for example. Hmm.
  10. I know I'm not the LPU but I thought I'd try and be useful for a minute. The LPUnderground has sent out their Meet & Greet confirmation emails for a few shows already. For those of you who are unaware, the Meet & Greets are being done just a little bit differently than before. There are still two members of Linkin Park at the Meet & Greet, and there are still a low number of LPU'ers allowed in. However, the new thing they are really pushing this year is that you have to respond within 24 hours to the M&G email in order to "confirm" your spot. This process weeds out those that have won and will not be able to attend, essentially. If you are going to a show and applied to a M&G, look for an email from: lpumeetandgreets@gmail.com Confirmation emails have been sent out for the following shows as of this posting: -19th July; İstanbul, Turkey @ İstanbul Park (Rock'n Coke Festival) -21st July; Athens, Greece @ Terra Vibe Park -23rd July; Graz, Austria @ Stadthalle Has anyone won one yet?
  11. Epic! Hell yeah Adam thanks for the info Contributor, yeah, haha. You contribute a lot sooooooo I thought it'd be fitting, heh.
  12. Hell yeah Chester gave them a big shoutout in 2008. They are proud to play in a city that loves music more than any other city or something. The crowd was awesome...very good that LP is returning to Portugal. Now they need a show in Spain...the Spanish seem to be quite unlucky lately, lol.
  13. According to the official Festival Rock One website here (or here), Linkin Park will be playing on August 5th, 2009 at the festival. The show is now fully confirmed for those of you who were unsure of it previously. The location is in Portimão, Portugal at the Algarve International Motor Park (Autodromo Internacional Do Algarve). LP will be playing after Fonzie and before Klepth and James Morrison. The show has been added to our 2009 tour page as the last show in Europe for the year. This brings the total of 2009 shows to 18. For you hardcore Linkin Park fans, this might mean another webcast and/or TV airing of the show. Portugal is known amongst LP fans for the proshot video recordings of the 2007 and 2008 shows in Lisboa. This could potentially be great considering many expect LP to change the setlist quite a bit for this tour and perhaps include some rarities or even a new song! Speaking of webcasts, has anyone researched webcasts for any other shows for 2009? Stay tuned for the announcement on LP.com (I assume shortly). Well, congrats Portuguese fans - you got a last minute show added for 2009! And remember....the first show of the summer tour (Istanbul) is in just three days. Edit - Show is now confirmed! Linkin Park will be headed to Portimão, Portugal on August 5th to perform at the Rock One Festival, a four day music experience at the Algarve International Motor Park. Tickets are on sale now at http://www.rockone.pt/
  14. Just two. Funeral For A Friend and Coheed & Cambria. Dead By Sunrise will play during encore number 1 by Linkin Park. They are playing in the LP set, so you won't miss them.
  15. Please submit news to this proper section of the forums: http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showforum=4 That is why we have it. If you want news on the frontpage, that's where to put it.
  16. Unrealistic but what I'd like to see for Europe. Same generic setlist but alternating a few slots with other songs. If Mike gets happy and they can play an extra 3 minutes, fuck it and throw in Reading My Eyes since it's nasty. 01. Bleed It Out (w/ long version of Timbaland intro) (KABOUKI) (Rob solo; outro) 02. Lying From You (08 intro) 03. With You (06 intro) 04. Numb 05. Breaking The Habit (Outro) 06. Points Of Authority (04 Reanimated intro) 07. By Myself / Figure.09 (Swap every show) 08. Given Up (Extended outro) 09. In The End (PR04 intro; 2nd verse Mike raps part of Untitled) 10. P5hng Me A*wy / Easier To Run (Swap every show) 11. Shadow Of The Day / Leave Out All The Rest (Swap every show) 12. What I've Done 13. New Divide 14. Crawling (Reanimated intro w/Chester vocals) 15. A Place For My Head / Papercut (Swap every show) - 16. Crawl Back In (Dead By Sunrise) 17. Walking In Circles (Dead By Sunrise) 18. The Morning After (Dead By Sunrise) - 19. No More Sorrow (Long intro) 20. Faint (Extended outro) 21. One Step Closer (Reanimated intro and bridge; extended outro)
  17. LP records every show they do. They don't sell DSPs for every show. Chester said DBS will be playing songs they haven't ever played before when they play in the LP set.
  18. Atlanta 07's SIB intro was touched up on the SBD. Mike's first few notes were out of tune. Also for future note: St Petersburg 09 openers: Lumen (Russian band), Funeral For A Friend
  19. I also think you over exaggerated. Seriously, people know you are the one that took the pictures. You may not realize how ugly and unattractive pictures are when you put big ass tags on them. Maybe a small tiny one in the bottom right corner or something, or hell maybe even a tiny transparent LPT like LPTimes does. I don't think I've ever seen someone call your picture their own picture. If I'm wrong, feel free to show me. However, I think all they did was post the picture on other sites to talk about it. What's wrong with that? Perhaps it's a control issue; there really is no big problem in uploading pictures with no tag. I think I've tagged maybe one picture ever. How would you like it if on the HT demo CD I tagged the pictures I put with that? It's an unneeded hassle and looks AWFUL on the pictures. You getting mad at people simply posting the pictures on other sites and talking about them directs attention from "hey that's awesome this sweet girl took pics and posted them; hell yeah" instead to "fuck, those tags are god awful, who is the troll behind these?".
  20. I was at college doing orientation; I'm not sure why noone else posted it earlier - sorry.
  21. I'm not sure if you all have seen this interview here that Chester did with the Taipei Times the other day, but there are some pretty cool things in it. Hoobastank and The All-American Rejects will be opening for LP in Taipei; the old demo that Chester recorded vocals for to show the rest of LP was 'Forgotten'; Chester talks about Dead By Sunrise and more. Have a look. Oh yeah, it's confirmed Rick Rubin is producing the next album for sure now. Thoughts?
  22. I care? I'm entitled to my opinion about what LP does live? lol I'd rather have older LP songs than DBS songs in an LP set, for sure.
  23. I checked LPTimes and couldn't figure it out at all. I don't think it's a show that is on LPTimes. Through a very slow process of elimination search, we could narrow it down to 5 shows at the maximum I bet. Now to search videos of Ozzfest 01. Ugh.
  24. I'll have to check into the subforum inside of a forum. That's a great idea though. Yep. That's why Serg was circulating that Excel file to see the most common sizes for FLAC shows. We were planning to include them in the 2.5 upgrade.
