  1. That's my new sig quote lol, I love it
  2. Actually I fully agree with people saying "stop bitching" like you have but on the contrary, LP actually does change something for 5-10% of the crowd. I can name off a ton of examples. But Mike saw the complaining here last fall and they swapped Papercut for LFY and Messenger for LOATR mid-tour. True story. Then at the soundcheck in London he said FTI was for us because he knows we want them to change it up. Plus SIB and POA were on the possible setlists for that show. So they DO listen, at least Mike does. Agree with everything you said otherwise. They don't owe it to us to change anything but it'd be nice
  3. I always was hoping that if they did another LPU tour that they wouldn't play ANY singles the entire tour. Do one setlist but just make it totally crazy with zero singles, zero half singles, zero anything like that, zero songs with videos. With You, By Myself, Forgotten, APFMH, PMA, CFTI, Don't Stay, Hit The Floor, Easier To Run, Figure.09, Nobody's Listening, Session, Robot Boy, When They Come For Me, Wretches And Kings, Blackout, The Messenger, Carousel, Reading My Eyes, Step Up, My December. Make a set of stuff like that. Play not one single and do it for one tour. PROMISE it'll bring a lot of people and get great reviews. Plus it has to be fun lol, how can the band love playing the exact same stuff every night? even in 2003 they were changing it up, the 3 nights in Tokyo and the rest of the Asian Tour they added Nobody's Listening and My December to have some fun.
  4. Always different when you follow it at a computer and you see it in person. I saw the same set 4 times with nothing different from 2008 except New Divide/Session when I saw the Europe 09 tour and it was fucking great. Even the same set 3x in a row this year for the US tour was fun. Atlanta sucked because the crowd was total bullshit and I was around a bunch of idiots but the performance itself was solid. I can see the band play the same 20 songs 50x in a row and still LOVE it, it's just when you follow a tour show-by-show online and get every DSP like most of these people it's frustrating. So I understand both sides of the argument. I've seen LP 12 times and love it every time. Have fun with MFR because MFR was so fucking good that I looked forward to doing that more than seeing LP. That good.
  5. Same set again. Wow. It seems like they really aren't even doing multiple setlists for this tour #nohopeforeurope
  6. For $80 yeah I agree with that. I spent $75 on PR08 - I got there at 12:30pm, saw like 10 bands on 2 stages the entire day, saw a collab with Chris and Chester, then Chris and LP. $80 for this tour...not worth it. Thank god for MFR.
  7. LP is 100% on. Disregard any rumors
  8. From our good friend @philporter74 on Twitter: "@Hahninator Hi Mark. On my way to Download. Can't log into LPLive from my IPhone for some reason. Can u do me a favor and put on there that reception permitting I will Tweet tonight's set list as it happens. Thanks mate "
  9. Interesting note. I'll add it to the show notes. Come on man, they can't do the same set the entire tour, that's just weak. Europe already had an ATS tour. Change up 1 or 2 songs at least and it'll satisfy people.
  10. Double post but I have to put that preshow post up before I go to bed or it'll be up way too late for Download attendees to comment on, lol. Ouch! I hate doing that without this setlist but it has to be done... C'mon Austria.
  11. The second show of Linkin Park's European Tour and fourth show of the summer comes in Castle Donington, England at the last day of the famous three day Download Festival! LP played Download for the first time in 2004 (show page here) and returned in 2007 for the first European Tour for Minutes To Midnight (show page here). In 2004, the band didn't get the BEST reception...people in the back and on the sides wanted to sit down! Check out the video: It's not often you see fans react that way to LP! All was well in 2007 when they returned (video here). We'll have to see how they are treated this year! Download is known for bottling bands that don't play very much heavy material, but Chester recently promised in a Kerrang interview that their show was going to kick ass and be full of rock so perhaps the band will change it up a bit for this show! Bullet For My Valentine and Disturbed are on right before LP so let's hope the band comes out rocking. This is probably getting close to their ten millionth show in England, haha. They close out the European Tour in London at the iTunes Festival next month, so the UK gets two shows on this tour. Last night in Austria at the NovaRock Festival, we can assume LP did the same setlist as Mountain View, but as of the time this post went up, we don't know for sure (wow, that really never ever happens here, eh?)! Who's headed out to Download? M&G, anybody? Other bands playing before LP today include: Bullet For My Valentine, Disturbed, The Gaslight Anthem, The Pretty Reckless, Bowling For Soup, Madina Lake (Projekt Revolution 2007, anyone?), Biohazard and Suicide Silence. This is one of the shows I am most excited to hear a DSP from since Download is such a famous festival and the crowds are huge! After this show, the band takes a day off before playing in Stockholm, Sweden on the 14th. Find the rest of the 2011 tour dates here. SETLIST: 01. The Requiem 02. Papercut 03. Lying From You 04. Given Up 05. What I've Done 06. Empty Spaces 07. When They Come For Me 08. No More Sorrow 09. Jornada Del Muerto 10. Waiting For The End 11. Wisdom, Justice, And Love 12. Iridescent 13. Numb 14. The Radiance 15. Breaking The Habit 16. The Catalyst 17. Crawling 18. New Divide 19. In The End 20. Bleed It Out (w/ Burning In The Skies & A Place For My Head over bridge) 21. Faint 22. One Step Closer Thanks to Phil Porter for setlist updates! http://twitter.com/philporter1974
  12. No full setlist verification yet. It took ages to get Linz info from last year too. I guess my Austrian friend from Graz didn't go to either show We can't bitch until we've seen a few shows on the tour really because we don't know if they have anything up their sleeve or not. To be honest it's not a bad set at all, it kicks ass, but they should appease hardcore fans and at least just do 1 or 2 out of the 20-22 songs differently - P5hng, Figure.09, RME, one in each set, then With You for the other one or something...people here would go crazy and love it. It doesn't take much lol
  13. Come on man, 4 German shows, surely they have to change up something for this tour. They know people see many shows on the same tour in Europe.
  14. Hopefully someone reports the set after they play; the Linz show took ages to get info from lol
  15. We can add that, sure. That's pretty cool haha!
  16. Haha yeah. Here's my pic of the Tampa crowd during the encore. Definitely more than 10,000. I can call the box office if you want and see if they have the attendance numbers, because I'd like to know too. I agree with your statement. It's also weird for some shows it says capacity was 10-12k when the stage was at the end of the arena, the full floor was open and the venue holds over 20,000. How is that possible? lol Yeah LP makes a ton off every show it seems.
  17. Go anyway! It will be worth it Or if not then go see another show on the tour! I also would like to see Reading My Eyes return. Love that song.
  18. Yeah probably. I mean with a stage in there that cuts it down of course - they'll probably put the stage in the middle and split the stadium in half or something like that. Huge venue but 25k there is pretty impressive. The DSP pics are gonna be su-weeeeeet.
  19. Haha yeah I feel the same. The venue looks badass. Holds 88,000? Wow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gelora_Bung_Karno_Stadium That's a big ass venue. It holds as many as most multi-day festivals hold at their max lol. Good luck to Pooch
  20. Still missing tons for this Euro Tour
  21. Awesome, thanks! This is great. A DSP from Indonesia I love how in 2010/2011 we're getting DSPs from a bunch of different places the band hasn't played in a long time, or even ever. Tel Aviv, Abu Dhabi, Indonesia. Even Yokohama (2003). Hopefully India gets added. I still see them putting a few Chinese shows on there of course since they had that 5 show MFR tour in Asia in 08 canceled and they played 2 shows there in 2009. Maybe Shanghai or Beijing and then Hong Kong. I doubt China will get skipped.
  22. LP has announced on Twitter that the band will be returning to Jakarta, Indonesia this fall. They posted the following message on their page: "Jakarta, Indonesia. We're coming. September 21. Stadion Utama GBK. See you soon." The band has played in Jakarta once before, on June 13, 2004 at the Pantai Carnaval. That show kicked off their five-show Asia Tour in 2004. The show page for that can be found here. This tour date fits in between Taipei, Taiwan on September 19 and Bangkok, Thailand on September 23. Congrats Asian fans! There's still a rumored Hong Kong show earlier in the tour for Asia, and it's possible that the band could squeeze in one or two more shows to that leg. We'll see!
  23. I agree. It seems some members outside of Mike and Chester don't enjoy the shows...
  24. Hmm, missing quite a few shows. I'd like to see Atlanta, Cincinnati, etc. Atlanta had the entire upper section roped off and I believe the 200s too. Only the 100s and pit, like barely anyone. I'd say 6.5 or less for the ATL show. Where does this data come from? How were there only 10,000 seats for Tampa when for a concert on Wikipedia it says it holds 21,000? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Pete_Times_Forum The Tampa crowd was HUGE. Way more than 10,000 and there's no doubt about it at all, the place was packed. I know Staples Center and Madison Square Garden were sold out but I never heard of any of the others being sold out. They tried to tell us in Sunrise it was sold out before the show and the box office had plenty of tickets left. Simply put, I don't believe that every NA show listed on there was sold out and I definitely don't believe 10k was the amount of tickets available for some.
