Linkin Park is hosting one of their popular LPU Summit events on June 21st, 2011 in Hamburg, Germany. LPU Summit events give fans a chance to interact behind the scenes with the band and their crew in a way like never before. This event is exclusive to Linkin Park Underground members. We’ve been promising some new LPU news for a while. With all the , MFR events, video shooting, and studio sessions going on, it’s been tough to make it happen. It looks like that announcement is finally on its way. Look for an email by the end of next week. Don’t get your hopes up, though. It’s probably nothing very special or interesting. Finalists for the 2011 Billboard Music Awards were announced Wednesday morning (Apr. 13) at a press conference in Las Vegas and Linkin Park are the finalist in 6 categories, Top Duo/Group, Rock Album, Rock Artist, Alternative Artist, Alternative Song and Alternative Album. The winners will be announced at the Billboard Music Awards show airing live on ABC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22 at 5 PM PT. Julien-K will return to Europe this summer to promote their still-untitled sophomore album. "Our last European tour was amazing. We were totally surprised with the turnout of our first run through Europe so we thought we would come back this summer to play festivals and start promoting the new album." Ryan Shuck explains. "We have a very loyal fanbase here in the US and all over the world and we have met so many new friends on our last tours with Dead By Sunrise in February and with Julien-K in August, it just seemed natural for us to come back this year. We love to travel. Meeting new people, playing new places are a big part of the fun in our job." 2011 will lead the band into new territories. Besides already confirmed shows in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands, the band will also play the Czech Republic and Hungary for the first time. "All our friends and people we meet tell us that Prague and Budapest are fantastic places and we are really looking forward to finally play those cities. It will be a very exciting time in Europe!"
