Yeah bringing in a new singer is their best route to continuing Linkin Park but turning to songwriters would be their best bet, they already had a 6 year hiatus and we have no idea what musical style they're going towards now.

And those who ask Mark to return are obviously joking, I mean I hope they are. Thing is, One more light would've been their new foundation at getting back in the mainstream, they had a lot of scrapped collabs. but I don't think the band wants that anymore. Will they have a limp bizkit moment where when wes leaves and they make a killer album which they ultimately scrap for one of the worlds worst albums, or would it be like oasis which they all matured and  make their two last albums that is the pinnacle of everything they strive to achieve but has no revenue because let's be honest. If Chester was still alive people wouldn't give two shits about one more light or Linkin Park.

I mean they won, they just want to continue as long as it takes and I think like the band said, doing live shows are their best choice I mean seriously they're all middle aged now. Rock scene is only big enough for 2 bands and we all know which those are, and for people who want a new singer you should know the biggest pressure and weight would be on him. I'm wondering about the label to be honest, will they force Linkin Park or drop them.

Interesting take, but in my opinion 2004 was the year that they were the biggest band in the world, it's the image that any person you ask randomly has of Linkin Park. 2007 onwards they were big, but not so much. I agree that OML was a conscious attempt to sit in the throne again, and if Chester hadn't killed himself they might have achieve that, but it's an eternal guessing name. LT was a false step, half of the record was commercially appealing and the other half too weird for not hardcore LP fans. Instead, following the ATS / THP was career suicidal.

I’ve got Major news about the songs:

The rob drum track is “Healing Foot”

“Resolution” is likely to be the demo version of “Lost”.

I don’t know what “Wesside” and “Massive” are but will probably be brand new demos to us or possibly more complete versions of familiar demos.. Exciting stuff!!

Also, the special QR code could very likely be or include the original 2002 mix of Lost we’re getting also on the deluxe CD. Maybe it’ll be added at some point on streaming services too. That’d be really awesome.

The special QR is a new unreleased remix of Burn it Down

    Well that’s… awful

Like most of the metal versions of OML. One thing that I really despise of the metal community is when they make a metal version of a pop hit which they consider awful, but when it has downtuned guitars and double bass, then it's marvelous. Guess what happens? If the original song was bad, the metal version... Still being bad. And, really? You eat any shit if it has loud guitars?

PS: I'm not bashing Lost, but the necessity of making everything METAL to be valid

The song fits soooo well in the movie, at the beginning when the movie title appears on screen with an overview of NY, and then on the ending credits, right after Still Alive plays on the ending scene. I am so happy to see Mike’s name on a big project, the movie scored the best opening weekend for the franchise, and the reviews are quite good. I’m not the biggest fan of the franchise but the movie is fun and enjoyable, I liked it as much as the 5th.

You mean Mike in solitary? Cause speaking of blockbuster the LP/Transformers duo has become a pop culture icon...  https://youtu.be/pz0EFEVqUjg

LPCatalog shared the Rough Cut DVD which had unfinished versions of those episodes. Scenes ordered differently, different editing, scenes not present in the final versions, etc.

Linkin Park uploaded 2 different versions to their YouTube channel:

The videos with 480p resolution are still unfinished versions, but different from the Rough Cut DVD. You'll noticed a lot of them have Figure.09 as the opening song, while the final versions used Qwerty. They all have title screens, which is something used for internal control, not for publicly release. They left Chester's butt uncensored (it's censored in the final version), there's the scene of them singing Baby Got Back (also present in the Rough Cut DVD) which was removed from the final version, you'll also notice there's a black screen in one episode with "Insert From The Inside Sequence" written on it that lasts a few seconds (obviously the scene hadn't been added yet at that point in the edition process).

The latest uploads, the ones in 360p resolution and pretty compressed / pixelated, are the original extended versions that were sold on iTunes in 2007. They are the final versions of the episodes.

Se we now have 3 different versions of those LPTV episodes. The unfinished version still being in their channel is most likely a mistake because YouTube allows Linkin Park to replace videos and keep the same links and view count. They didn't have to upload the finished versions under new links.

Seems like the band, despite its good intentions, has a lot of quality control issues. Hope that doesn't affect to the boxset

    - the original leak on the warner store

    - the delay of pretty much everything

    - the computer thing that had the weirdest story line while the whole thing was buggy

    - accidental "Instrumental" on the tracklisting on Session printed on the merch

    - the cover art that was published with the "Frontside" (or whatever the wording was) still being visible

    - "Mark Fiore Meteora Awesome" placeholder on the discs on the product pictures instead of "Work in Progress" (got partially fixed by now)

    - publishing the video geoblocked (which seems like it got fixed now)

And that's just the things I can think of from the top of my head. I probably forgot a couple of things already.

Any bets about more printing mistakes with the next boxset

Yeah I totally get it, I’m on the opposite side because I like OML more than MTM and THP, but none of us is wrong or right, this is taste. There’s quality yeah, I’d never say that Sorry for Now is better than Pink Floyd lol, even tho I listened to Sorry for Now more than I did with 90% of Pink Floyd songs

The best thing about LP is "you don't like this record? You'll have another chance with next one"
