  1. Good job on LP for bringing back some old songs that many of us thought would never the light of day again (With you, Runaway, POA etc) as well doing a medley again (really interested to see how it sounds) but I personally would've liked a few more ATS songs. Still, a great high energy set, which is always cool.
  2. He is, Brad also swaps between guitar and keys (I think he does keys during the intro, mikes rap and at the end while playing guitar for the choruses.)
  3. Meh, I would've prefered runaway to stay dead. Not a great song studio and not a great song live either.
  4. Am I the only one that can't make out a thing from that pic?
  5. Er, have to agree with Narc. I haven't actually been to Soundwave, but I'd much rather a headline arena tour.
  6. Don't bother trying to convince him, since it seems music with screaming/rapping about teenage angst over distorted guitars is what he likes best and nothing is going to change that it seems.
  7. Whether or not fans like the music is up to them. But yes, I guess this bitching about track times and song titles is annoying. I kind of wish LP would just release an album without making any hype about it, like Radiohead did with In Rainbows (they literally gave ten days notice), but I don't think thats gonna happen, especially when their with a label like Warner.
  8. No, people that think Meteora is their best album need to get their ears checked. Kidding aside, why is every post I read from you is about how crap ATS is (in your opinion), yet you make it seem as though it is absolute, that ATS IS the worst album LP have made, fact. You seem to come here just to remind people of your opinion (or whatever you think is fact). Yeah we get it, you don't like the album, thats cool, each to their own. But telling people that like the album/think its the best to get their ears checked? Grow up, seriously.
  9. ^ I really hope they do start playing TLTGYA again. Even though they couldn't really pull off all the multilayered vocals on the studio version live, I still thought they did a pretty decent job all things considered. And like you said, now everyone minus rob is singing they should be able to pull it off better. It will also be interesting to see how different BID sounds live, as I would imagine the guitar parts and Mike's harmonies would be higher in the mix.
  10. I'll definetely be watching this. Its nice how I can watch online streams of concerts at like 4-5 pm since I live in Australia
  11. Nice change of pace seeing Brad do what normally seems to be Mike's job.
  12. I definetely think that the pre-HT era stuff was better then the HT-Meteora era, just a rawness and grittiness that got turned into a polished, and overproduced sound when HT came out. Also, like Astat said, the material was also much more varied, with more mellow stuff like She Couldn't but agressive stuff like And One or Slip. If they had stuck to their pre-ht stuff, they probably wouldn't have gotten as big, but I would've definetely been a much bigger fan.
  13. To be fair Elias and Brandon were more for the live show, with the studio work being mostly done by Ryan, Amir and Fu. But they were such a crucial part of the live show, Elias' awesome drumming (nothing against Frank, but I think Elias did a better job) and Brandon's backing vocals and keys (Fu is doing the keys fine, but practically all the backing vocals are just playback now, although I think Frank does sing along with them)
  14. I'm not really sure what to think of this.. it just seems a bit too much like most songs on the radio these days, really catchy but at the same time it seems like something that I'm going to get sick of. The lyrics are okay I guess. Oh well, I hope the rest of the album is better, but I somehow doubt it. Just my opinion, so don't get too hurt if you like the song, thats great. It just doesn't really do anything for me.
  15. Are you serious? SIB is a borefest..
  16. It was the same night, Muse played before The Offspring who played before LP, who headlined that night. I think Chester made a comment about having to go on stage after a band like Muse.
  17. ^Thats false, they were touring the whole time Projekt Rev 07 was on. PR07 went from the end of July to the start of September, and if you check this page http://www.musewiki.org/Gigs,_2006%E2%80%932008#2007 and scroll down to 2007, you'll see that they were on tour during that period as well. And also, before PR07 Muse opened for My Chemical Romance for some of their US shows, who later opened for LP on PR07, so I doubt it was because they didn't want to do it, they probably already had touring plans.
  18. I was talking more about the boring powerchord part, distorted guitars are fine. I just hope they don't turn out like the majority HT and Meteora's guitar work which was just powerchords and octaves for the most part although I admit there was some interesting stuff on them, just not much. I'm not saying that powerchords are BAD or anything, its just that I don't want an album full of them.
  19. I really hope bringing back guitars doesn't mean boring ass distorted powerchords from the first two records, because that would be a real step backwards. I mean there is so much more you can do with guitars. I sorta hoped that LP would go even more experimental with the next record, but it looks like its not happening. Oh well, I'm sure I'll still enjoy it.
  20. "It's been 2 years since we came to Japan During this tour, lots of Linkin park fans gave you relief donations. We are impressed about your strength. Because still looking foward, and hanging on in this difficult situation. Thank you." According to a comment on a youtube vid of it.
  21. I didn't even say anything about it being revolutionary, if this was directed at me. I simply said that ATS is less pop then any other LP record. And it really depends on what context your using revolutionary in, do you mean in the music industry or just for LP itself? If you mean music industry then no, ATS didn't really make a wave or anything like that, but it definetely was quite a jump for LP.
  22. ^ are you fucking kidding me.. ATS was not pop as in popular and had less pop structure then any of their previous albums.
  23. And this is coming from a person that thinks that "Meteora is one of the greatest albums of all time".. *facepalm*
