Me! I bought the 2-days (now three) ticket only for System of a down but wow, it's quite a surprise that LP are playing too even with the rumours about the third day and its headliner (Blink-182 or LP were my bets). Nine years after the last (and sadly only) time i saw them!

Sorry for the double-posting but the Download organization has just confirmed that LP will play on June 22nd!!

Some people are saying that spanish Download Festival will be adding another day (Thursday June 22nd) to the festival. They're doing this to add a proper headliner to the roster that another european festival let go. LP has that day free (they're not playing between 18th and 24th), also Blink-182.

I'm sure he played it on New Divide, during the intro. Don't know if he used it on more songs.

He works somehow close to spanish festivals, it's a reliable source. And yes, LN is the biggest promoter here, alongside with Last Tour International (they manage BBK Fest in Bilbao and brought A7X a few years ago).

A inside source told me that LP won't come to Spain (at least to Resurrection) this year.

Yes, because this festival is not organized by any big promotor (LiveNation, f.e.). Past headliners were Iron Maiden, Offspring, Volbeat, Korn, BFMV. It's a metal/hardcore oriented fest.

There's two festivals in Spain with free spots: BBK Live and Resurrection Fest. Both are between July 6th and 8th. It's unlikely that LP are still in Europe at that dates but... BBK has Depeche Mode as the only band announced at the moment and Resurrection Fest doesn't announced anyone, but rumours say that they're holding a big surprise.

Ok, I heard from someone inside the organisation that they won't play Mad Cool.

So the LP tour only will be in Europe in June right? I've heard that another spanish festival (Mad Cool Festival) will announce their 3 headliners on thursday, and one of the are Foo Fighters. This fest will take place on July 6th-8th. Last year they had a very top level headliners: The Who, The Prodigy and Neil Young. If they have a chance to play here in Spain, I think this is the last one at least this summer.

But this is their second or third headlining slot in a major UK festival after Reading/Leeds last year and maybe another one I'm missing.

There's a remote chance to play in Spain: they play as direct support of SOAD on 23rd in Madrid and travel to HF/SF to play there the two following days.

There are 3 festivals with the Download brand. There's another one in Madrid, Spain on June 23rd-24th (1st time this year) with SOAD as the only announced headliner. LP and Blink are out of the poll for the other headliner as they play in Southside/Hurricane Festival in Germany.

Sonar is a electronic/alternative music fest, too experimental for LP, I think.

SOAD plays on 23rd, and i doubt that LP would play as a support act for them. If they play in Madrid, they'll be a headliner on 24th.

When I go to a concert in a big venue, I always want to see a very unique stage production with screens, lights and things like that. That's why I have Muse in the top of live bands right now. Their stage setup is awesome in every tour. LP, since I follow them (2006/7), was always a few steps behind until THP cycle, with the moving screens and the "towers". It's true that the 360º stage in 2008 was very original. I don't know why they stopped using it (too expensive?). I like the pyramid stage too, that one used on the ATS arena tour.

It's a supposition from nowhere but there's a spanish edition of Download Festival in Madrid confirmed but not announced yet. LP played there several times in the past so maybe they're one of the headliners. Many websites say that the announcement will be sooner than later (this month).

I think this is not related so much with the band. I'm seeing in the past couple of years a low activity in the forums that i visit regularly. Twitter and fb have a lot to say about that. The absence of news around LP's world probably count and i heard in my circle that the people interest in the new LP album is very low compared to other albums.

I think Mike is performing Welcome alone in China too.
