  1. yeah, you'll notice magazine covers will have some big thing saying "THE NEW ALBUM - XYZ SPEAKS!!" and it'll be less than a 1/4 of the page with some stock picture with the band member saying "yeah we have an album out soon" so irritating

    Tour Rumors

LP and MUSE will. never. tour. together. they. would. not. be. able. to. have. one. headline. over. the. other. is everybody clear on that?
  3. for those wondering, it's under april 16th 2012 also, do you not think they'd need wayyy more hype before this got put out - remember how big the promotion for ATS was before even hearing a note of The Catalyst...?
  4. hahah i knew what you meant i was messing around yeah, K!'s not the most reputable source for something as substantial as the percentage of guitars to electro in a new LP album I keep getting the feeling that I've really outgrown K! in these last few months - they over-expose bands that have irritating obsessive fan bases purely because they know they'll buy anything bearing the band name on it, they use the same boring language to describe every badn they come across and i'm getting rather tired of it. Rocksound seems to cover more of what I'm now interested in. i'll buy K for interesting stuff like free cds or downloads, but I'm starting to buy it less and less now
  5. reposting this for the sake of it being correct. yeahhhh, Bliss, you don't read much Kerrang do you...? yeah, their names are in the album credits...
  6. so true, ATS was full of guitar parts, just more subtle and understated... will go have a look at the scans in a sec too EDIT: tidy. still no actual release date stuff via chester though

    Tour Rumors

useth not the "emo" word... also, i thought this thread was meant to be about rumours we'd heard, not "who do you want to see with lp this summer"
  8. i think that some people are fine to download stuff, but won't then leave a comment to thank the uploader or wish to contribute in any way... noticed it on my DBS live download thread - mediafire lets you see the amount of downloads your individual files have had, and i noticed it was wayyyy out of proportion to the people who were commenting/requesting/generally contributing to that thread. alot of people seem to like the LPL exclusives, but if you're just giving stuff away every week, they maybe didn't care as much? maybe only do ROTW as a "Recording of The Month" or something... perhaps you'd get more from it...? on another note, even if you don't bring back the recording give-away idea in whatever form it may take - do you think we could still get a reboot on the files in the previous ROTW? sure, torrents may be difficult to do if there's less interest, but at least the direct links fixed would keep most people happy. in fact I'm considering ploughing through the live audio forum and reuploading everything that doesn't now work...
  9. I've been wondering about sharing out a CD I got a few years ago ("Live at BBC") for download this is the track listing: 01. With You - tracks 1-12 recorded BBC Studio, Maida Vale Sept. 14th., 2001 02. Runaway 03. Papercut 04. By Myself 05. Points Of Authority 06. High Voltage 07. Pushing Me Away 08. In The End 09. A Place For My Head 10. Forgotten 11. Crawling 12. One Step Closer 13. Papercut - BBC Jan. 11th., 2001 (on Crawling single) 14. A Place For My Head (Esaul) - Hybrid Theory demo '99 15. By Myself (SuperXero) - Hybrid Theory demo '99 16. High Voltage (REMIX) - "My December" demo 2001 17. My December - "One Step Closer" single (duhhh) highlighted in red is the stuff I know I can't share out, is there anything else on there that I've missed...? also, could someone please explain to me how on earth "Stick and Move" '98 from LPU9 can be considered a demo of Runaway!?
  10. meh, I dunno - it's up to you guys on here really. I figured that's how these Japanese bootleggers were operating, although it is nice to know stuff exists and is available somewhere other than DIME [/non-member...] but i think a bootleg list would be quite handy actually in that respect...
  11. just found these: nothing new, just some bootleg releases to update a few pages with. just so people know they're out there really... Video source for Madison Square Garden, 2011 Source 1b: Video - PROSHOT (unknown) Transfer: Unknown Taper: Unknown (Sound Boxx) Time: 84 mins Format: unknown Comments: Breaking the Habit and From The Inside missing. bootleg DVD-R: "Sanctuary" Sound Boxx, SB-120. likely a re-release of the Fuse footage. Video sources for Buenos Aires, 2010, São Paulo, 2010 and MTV EMA Madrid, 2010 (yes, yet more videos...) Video - PROSHOT (unknown) Transfer: Unknown Taper: Unknown (Sound Boxx) Time: 92mins Comments: compilation bootleg DVD-R: "Awakening"Sound Boxx, SB-119 this is a compilation DVD - for Buenos Aires, this is a re-release of source 7 since it only goes from Papercut to What I've Done. for Sao Paolo, it's probably a re-release of source 1b, since it only includes New Divide, Numb, BTH, Crawling, OSC and WID, but I have my doubts that it's just 1b since the site claims it also includes Numb (but then again the site could be wrong...). finally, for MTV EMA Madrid, this DVD re-releases source 3.
  12. absolutely yes! ROTW has always been brilliant - you guys always made sure we had great quality, and accurate info on the show - it was a shame to see it die out. be nice to see it back
  13. how on earth is skrillex losing?
  14. yep! http://lplive.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=7213&hl= pretty damned quick if you ask me...
  15. this was my reason for picking ATS was literally about to write "ATS - ending to Blackout"... and you sir, are completely correct. i love chester's voice sure, but Mike's has particular qualities that make him a more appropriate choice for certain songs. LOATR sounds great with chester, but "Fear", in it's own raw little way is an example of Mike's voice being superb - i find it hard to choose which of the 2 versions to this song i like more.
  16. cheers buddy! probably should have checked youtube before asking haha
  17. yeah i think it works well in the song, but I'd love to know what he was actually saying
  18. was having a quick listen to Yokohama 2011 today, and on the Iridescent bridge, Mike (i assume it to be mike) starts talking - well, kind of yelling - in japanese. does anyone know what he was saying? can someone translate?
  19. gotta say the B&W never bothered me too much...
  20. yeah, there's been tons of people in recent tours to come up onstage. but it's all been guitar/bass i don't think they'd ever let anyone do drums, it could jeapordise the entire song, it'd be like getting someone up to sing chester's part in Given Up
  21. it's not that we're asking if he's good or not, it's compared to others how does he rank. I think he's definitely very skilled, but can't shine on alot of the older material so our veiw of him is warped somewhat. rob's solid and dependable but he doesn't show off too much, which is part of the style of music LP plays, and definitely not his own shortcomings +1shannon's style is intended to be more flashy and impressive, and i do prefer this approach in drums.
  22. yeah i think i had a surge in speed about an hour ago - got a reading of 289mb/s somewhere in there so I guess he was on for a bit... no worries, I can leave my laptop on all night if i want to
