    I get the experimental thing but why does every album still end up sounding like current mainstream aside from just a couple songs. LP is still my favourite band and i've never brought this up before but i think "adapting" to stay relevant is kind of selling out.

This is a direct quote from Chester: "We knew immediately after that if we made another record that sounds like Hybrid Theory we're only going to be in a position to make that kind of thing and it's going to become unimportant and dated" Afraid of becoming "unimportant and dated". Isn't that same as admitting that they had to sell out a bit to stay relevant?

    I think Mike sounded great. Chester wasn't too bad either. I noticed he was singing really loud and his voice cracked couple times but it's barely noticable from the effects they added to his voice. I was hoping they would let him sing it raw. But it obviously isn't my call

    What makes you think they're just fillers? I mean there are many LPU cd's with less than 9 tracks on it. EDIT: Better to have them than not

    There are many mainstream bands who have heavy songs like avenged sevenfold and many others. When given up was a single i heard it million times on radio.

    But you said specifically "According to ->THIS<- interview, next LP album will contain much screaming" Also, Chester saying in another interview (you gave no source btw) that "they are happy to write some pretty metal music", does not say anything about how many heavy songs the next album will contain. They are probably happy writing all kind of music, as i suspect you are well aware of

    How do you know his screaming wasn't only for one song they were recording? How do you know if that song will make through the vote/cut? 1:59
