  1. I finally got an HTEP!!! Thank you Derek!!!
  2. I know who the high bidder is, and they are very determined to win this. Good luck to everyone else.
  3. THIS. A MILLION FUCKING TIMES.
  4. Ok, its time that this thread either get back on track or I'm gonna close it. HybridTheory97 you are completely out of line in some of your comments to other members of this forum. This will be your only warning. Got a problem with that? Take it up with Mark, he'll likely tell you the same exact thing I am about to say. Your attitude towards other members here is toxic and it makes the forum less than a pleasant place to be. Its something that has rubbed me, as well as a few other staff members, the wrong way one too many times, and it will no longer be tolerated. Either attempt to co-exist with the other members here peacefully or you may find that your remaining time here is going to be very short. Now back to the topic at hand.
  5. My two cents on this. Warner Brothers and every other media outlet in the world expects us, the consumers, to comply with all sorts of demands and legal wrangling when it comes to their rules, such as copyright issues. But yet when they lay out rules for us to comply with in a contest, how is it fair to any of the participants when they don't live up to their end of the deal? Their legalese document regarding this contest had specific guidelines, but yet they violated their own guidelines in the judging of this contest. It is something that needs to be addressed, at least to the participants satisfaction.
  6. Thanks. and I lol'd at the part in bold, particularly the part I underlined.
  7. Have you been paying attention to the events that have been going on around the globe for, oh I don't know, how about since the beginning of recorded history? War and Religion are two things that are almost a constant source of debate or topics for discussion. Yes it offends people but it also serves a purpose of making people stand the fuck up and fight for what they think is right. What do you think ATS was meant to accomplish? It was supposed to be a catalyst, forgive the pun, to light a fire and to make you stop and hopefully do something to make even a small change in the world around you. It drew heavily on historical quotes from some of the major events in the last century of American History for a reason. Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it. So what if Chester found faith and religion? Most former drug addicts turn to God in their attempts to redeem themselves. If that's what he needed to do to find peace for himself then more power to him. Just because you don't believe doesn't make it into a fairy tale or any thing else. Its his life, not yours.
  8. IF (and that's a mighty big if) this is true all I have to say is Dear God why?
  9. I have heard from a reliable source that Billie Joe has called Kyle and that Green Day is asking for donations to help Kyle's family
  10. BFD ticket for the show page =) (also on my twitpic account at twitpic.com/5965qy)
  11. I started crying watching this, particularly when Kyle waves at Chester.
  12. I just want to say thank you to everyone who took the time to post about this yesterday. You should all give yourselves a pat on the back. An even bigger thank you to Adam for taking the story to LP Management. It probably wouldn't have gotten that far without your help. And thousands of thank you's to LP themselves. This right here makes me so proud to be a Linkin Park fan. You really do care about the people that support you and you give back to the ones that really need it. I just wish this could ultimately have a happy ending.
  13. Adam thank you so much for taking the time to follow up on this. Childhood cancer is something that has touched my life from several angles for years and stories like this break my heart.
  14. Ok so here goes. I thought that the show went pretty well. The crowd energy was amazing, I was only like 10 rows from the stage, and it was great. Chester commented that compared to Irvine on Saturday, that we made the crowd there look like they were fucking sleep walking. I had to try to send Mark set list notes on a phone that was dying and pay attention to the show at the same time. I was sort of surprised that they didn't do an encore, since I've only ever seen them one other time that they didn't, on the Summer Sanitarium tour in 2003. Both Mike and Chester came down in the crowd at different points in the show. I tried to get to where Chester was, cause he was at the end of the section I was in, but the crowd was too big. I also got to meet Pooch, such a nice guy. He was going to give me the copy of the set list that he had, but it was gone by the time I got to the sound set up area. Meet and Greet. After almost 8 years of being in the LPU on and off, I finally got one. Things could have gone infinitely better. The person in front of me was pretty drunk, and the one thing I really wanted to do was to ask Chester a few questions. The guy didn't let me have a chance to really get a word in, and I sort of lost my nerve after that. Mike acknowledged my LPLive shirt, and Phoenix and I had a few minute conversation about the site. It was really funny. He saw my shirt and he said "oh are you repping them today?" I said "I'm on staff there, I'm the only female staff member" He said "oh that's cool, and how many of you are there?" I said that there were nine of us, and he goes off into trying to figure out the percentage I make up of the staff. He said at first "oh you are just a little more than 10 percent of the staff, oh wait, hold on you are 11.1 percent of them." I laughed and he said "I'm trying to show off my math skills. Are they good math skills?" I told him that at any rate his math skills were loads better than mine. There was no opportunity for any photos, and they didn't do a group shot either. I did get my In the End Japanese import signed, which is pretty cool. I've had it packed away unopened for almost 4 years waiting for the chance to get it signed. Other random notes: I made it all the way to Shoreline, which is 3 hours from my home, and was so careful the whole way there because I just got a brand new car. I was in line for parking and some stupid bitch rear ended my car. If you ever get the chance, see Bad Religion. Amazing band. Because of the aforementioned car incident, I missed seeing Emily's Army, the band that Billy Joe Armstrong's son is in. I also missed seeing Billy Joe in the pit moshing to his son's band. I AM SO JUST GAHHHHHHHHHHHH OVER THAT.
  15. I'm stil in Mountain View posting from my phone. I'll post more details when I get home this afternoon.
  16. I'll get a pic of mine to you in the next day or two.
  17. I'll be in Mountain View on Sunday, with a 60 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. woohoo. Guess I'll be investing in a poncho to wear. =P
  18. Well, my friend that was driving bailed on me, so I'm stuck with two tickets and no way to Mountain View. Hoping things change in the next few weeks, or I'm going to miss LP again.
  19. Just as a precaution the staff asked the person who has these tickets to provide us with a photo of the tickets, as an effort to ensure that our members weren't getting scammed. Based on that, the tickets look legitimate, they are similar to every other ticket that has come from the German shows.
  20. Not any different than Mark flying to Europe to see LP. If he has the cash for a plane ticket and a passport its feasible.
  21. YAYYYYYYYYYYYY. This is totally going to make up for the LA show I had to miss. Only 6 weeks. *starts planning*
  22. Summer Sanitarium August 10, 2003 San Francisco, CA Absolutely amazing show.
  23. No, he had put in a much higher maximum bid and every time some one else bid it raised his up to the next dollar over that new bid. Example: nameless person 204.50 r***e 205.00 namelessperson 214.00 r***e 215.00 Etc. Etc. It won't show the bids that were made in between the highest bidders ones except to the seller I think.
