Are you serious? Parts/samples of Sad are in By Myself. They are very similar at least, everyone could make that connection. No one would do the same for Animals and RU if Mike never mentioned it.

 

Maybe Animals was to RU what Blue was to Crawling, that's a much better example imo.

I found similarity between ANIMALS & ROADS UNTRAVELED. The intro part, beats. Kinda similar. Just like JZE said, if "Sad" is "By Myself", why dont "Animal" is "Roads Untraveled"? 😅👍🏻

I didn't come here trying to start an argument, and I realize I might have gotten a little jumpy with my post, but it sucks when you pay for and support a seemingly slowly dying fanclub to watch others announce without regret that they just will find the music elsewhere because they don't want to support one of their favorite bands themselves, especially with a price drop this year.

 

It's nice that your Facebook got a lot of activity, but it's most likely because you guys readily posted LPU exclusive content and you're one of the biggest Linkin Park fansites, so it caught on quick. You could have easily linked the 30 second preview LPU offers for free and probably gotten a similar response.

 

I don't think you realize how much discussion LPL and LPA gets. I think I can safely say this site as a whole gets more activity daily than the LPU forum gets in weeks, including the free sections. It's disappointing to hang out there and see that unofficial fansites are more popular than the official site. And I'm not saying I dislike LPL or LPA, I've been members on both sites for years.

How you so sure that LPU is slowly dying fanclub? 15 years of LPU, 15 years people downloading illegaly yet, the LPU is still one of the biggest and successful fan club worldwide.

Regarding LPLive posted the LPU tracks on FB, those songs already leaked/uploaded on YT and if LPL didnt share it, sooner or later people will found it too.

About LPU forum and fansite, well LPU forum is strictly for LPU members meanwhile other fansite is open for everyone. Which one better? I'll say other fansite such as LPL & LPA. It's free and everyone in those website are interesting to talk and discuss too.

Did... did I miss something? I don't see anything in here that says people pirated the LPU CDs, and I'm pretty sure LPL Twitter/Facebook haven't openly supported it either.

I assume he's misunderstood. He thinks those who got the LPU15 album in Digital Download form & burn into CD is piracy. Err.

So we don't have a "track by track" this year?

Maybe they'll do video just like last year with Brad. Maybe this time Mike or Chester.

If I don't have the LPU15 laminate I can't get the Early Access?

Not sure bout that but based on my experienced, those who didnt have the laminate, need to show their membership statement via phone. Just for prove that you're valid LPU members.

about digital membership. since there is no laminate, is it possible to go to meet and greet without laminate?

For M&G, they'll provide a special laminate/tag. Also, M&G only for selected people. Those LPU15 laminate is just for collection and can be use for Early Entry to LP shows.

I love this kind of stuff that appeared out of nowhere. Regarding the song, it's cool. The hip-hop side of LP. Just like D12 & Gorillaz collab for track "911".

The band's plans for the 15th anniversary of Hybrid Theory are finally coming to light. In a new collaboration with Complex, Linkin Park will be collaborating with a series of brands to create some apparel reminiscent of Hybrid Theory's artwork.

The band is collaborating with six brands for this series: A Bathing Ape, CLOT, The Hundreds, The Seventh Letter, Brooklyn Projects, and RVCA. Each item will be released on certain dates throughout the month of November, the first collaborating (with A Bathing Ape) coming out on November 3. Each design will only be available for a limited time - if you see something you like, be sure to grab it ASAP!

Yesterday, Music for Relief tweeted about the new competition for everyone to submit their song and get a chance to be feature in the upcoming "Download to Donate" album.

Eventhough they didnt put "3.0" on the logo, but in rules and regulations, they considered it as "DTD 3.0". The competition will be judged by Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, Joseph Trapanese and more.

Question is: Will Linkin Park release a new song, an instrumental like "Issho Ni" or maybe an acoustic track from "THE HUNTING PARTY"?
