From: Riff Rock News With a new single out ("A Light That Never Comes" with EDM star Steve Aoki) and a remix album due later this month, Linkin Park is back in the studio working on its fifth studio album and follow-up to 2012's chart-topping "Living Things." Group leader Mike Shinoda gave us an update, saying that: Shinoda adds that at this point longtime Linkin Park cohort Rick Rubin is not involved in the new sessions, though he may join later. Linkin Park will release "Recharged," a collection of remixes of "Living Things" songs, on October 29, with two remixes by Shinoda himself. Singer Chester Bennington, meanwhile, is doing double duty with Stone Temple Pilots, who recently released a new EP called "High Rise."

The only sure thing now is the madness will begin after the STPwCB Soundwave Festival shows. If they release the Album on July or early on August the first single will come out in May or June. JUNE, if the month of the Transformers 4 release... Everything seems like coldly calculated uh? I guess the next album will be released on July, and the first Single and soundtrack of Transformers 4 will come out early on June.

Joe Hahn posted early today that he will be directing the new Linkin Park's video. Joe and Ghost Town are working again together in a new video clip, now for A Light That Never Comes: Joe Hahn on Instagram: Thoughts?

I pre-ordered the CD and Vinyl and just why i am a LP Collector not because of the music. One of my friends bought the "fuckin crazy" Recharged pack, and 2 of his friends bought the pack too, so we are talking about "success"! My question is: (and maybe would be great to start a new thread about this) Living Things is/was the worst album circle in terms of digital and physical items?

Guys, stop bitching each other. Remember that the 57.000.000 Linkin Park fans on FB are not like you guys, they are regular fans with less knowledge about the Linkin Park career. We are (most of us) LP Collectors, we have almost everything digitally and phisically. For the regular LP Fans, and that means the 95% of the whole fan base in the world this is a great release, with 15 new songs, and an amazing pack, and amazing cover and amazing songs. That's why they (LP) released this Recharged album. For them. To me is ok, i heard some songs before and some are ok, but there is no way to compare this "fast and furious" album with Reanimation. Reanimation is a great piece of art, Recharged just a remix compilation.

After listened the whole song several times, i wonder how the band will play this song live. I mean the whole band + Aoki. And i wonder how many pictures Joe will take during the song xD

100% in everthing. The STP information for the latinoamerican fans is not important at the moment, very unpopular, a normal Linkin Park post get 65 FB Likes in the first day, and the STP news for now are getting 35 in a couple of days, not the best.
