Merch is crazy expensive. Gonna have to pass. I can't believe Mike would go through all this trouble for one song. Maybe Welcome is a bside? Very strange. Hoping for straightforward answers soon.
-
I give up haha. I wish Mike was a more straight forward kinda guy, but I feel like if this wasn't legit he'd at least say that. Thinking more and more now that they might be rebranding Fort Minor into something else. Or Mike is just silly. Either one.
-
I was so busy posting I didn't actual notice the logo just had a big X over it haha. Hmm from a marketing perspective it would be silly to throw away that brand recognition. But maybe he will announce a new name on Conan, but for now he's being billed as Fort Minor.
-
Mike is Fort Minor. He doesn't need to change the name. But wow unless something like Tak happened with Ryu, then I feel bad for him. Maybe Mike got the opportunity and just went with it. To me it seems really sudden that there's a show in the middle of the LP stuff. I honestly thought he'd wait till September, like when Chester is doing STP. Regardless, it's very exciting. Definitely watching Conan on Monday.

New Logo?

I'd be surprised if they didn't do AAXmas again. But maybe this will be the last show for the year. Still have to consider STP keeps saying there dropping their new album this year.

Hoping if they do something for HT15, it's not at a festival. Rather a one off US show.

2015.05.17 - Columbus, OH - Rock On The Range

Wish was ok because they didn't really have enough songs and they've played HT and Meteora in full. I saw Cure for the Itch instead of We Made It and was happy. So yeah at this point when I'm still waiting to hear stuff from the album they're touring, I'm annoyed covers/side songs are being played. I've been saying forever that they should drop New Divide because it's not an album song. -

Popular/Unpopular opinion? I'm really annoyed they played Darker Than Blood, a song from someone else's album rather than one of their own songs. Hoping they drop that for San Antonio. Otherwise with ALITS, Rebellion, and Papercut intro I'm ok. Obviously could be improved a lot, but they're always worth seeing. -
Any Hard-core LP fans were in line when Joe was having his set. During the meet up most of us knew each other and had to decline the tickets because of the poor timing.

2015.05.09 - Las Vegas, NV - Rock in Rio USA

It was at least a single. Closing a show without a single wouldn't work, no matter how perfect it seems to fit for us. I just hope it stays in the setlist for a headlining tour. -

I don't like GATS opening. Too many people still don't know the song and the crowd starts out meh. With that epic Papercut intro the crowd was really into it. Havent watched the stream, and I was at the back barricade, but all of us were rocking. So please keep papercut/awesome intro as the first song. ALITS is my favorite song from THP so I was worried, but I had a blast. I think it was an amazing debut! Hope it stays in the set for a headline tour but considering Mike's face I have my doubts. No idea why they had Joes solo after blackout. Not the place for it, too long of instrumental. Also not a great reaction to Mike's medley from where I was. But really I just want them to drop BID and ND, however casual fans loved it. -

Pretty sure this is very close. I'm hoping they webcast! If not I'll make sure to remember the setlist. -
Mike can say visceral until he's blue in the face, but the fact is that the songs they choose (or the label choose?) were a radio edition of GATS, Final Masquerade, and Until It's Gone. I take everything Mike says with a grain of salt. But yeah they could do what they want, but if they put out a pop album and play that more than THP I'll be pretty upset. Edit: ALSO, I thought Mike said THP was supposed to be a LIVE ALBUM? That they were excited to hear these songs live. Because I thought I heard that again with LP7 but I can't remember who said it.

What song from THP do you want LP to add to the setlists?
Numbrocker replied to hahninator's topic in Live Talk
Heard studio version of BIO in Vegas in 2013 and it was meh. Can't close a show with just the studio version. It was boring compared to having something extra. Though I agree that I rather have the majority of THP over Wastelands and DROP BID/ND PLEASE! Crawling you could rotate. Like maybe doing actual different setlists. -

I love A Line In The Sand. My favorite off THP! Weird way of thinking but I think if they add KTTK then at least one high energy will be dropped. Too good to be true that they drop a slow song for it. -
Why can't they drop BID and ND for new THP songs. I'm so tired of BID and ND isn't even an album song. While I love APFMH and FTI, I've been lucky enough to see them so I'm on Team New Song. But with a 75 minutes set for Vegas I imagine it will be single city. Really I'm surprised LP was even thinking new song for this festival tour. Made more sense for the THP shows.

STP: 2015.04.27 - New York, NY, Irving Plaza (+ Webcast)

If you listen when Dean is playing the intro to Big Empty some guy is yelling over and over again saying "you're not scott." I'm guessing he was probably making a spectacle of himself since everyone around him knew exactly who Dean meant and point him out for security. Who pays to see someone they don't like? -
I don't think so. Money is in concerts now, not CD sales. They're selling out left and right with only an EP out. And STP songs are way easier on Chester's voice then LP. And like Mark said, he's way more all over the place with STP. At the show I went to Chester got the chance to sit or just chill on the mic stand. And when he moved it wasn't quick, just walking to one side and staying there a bit and walking to another. We'll see in Vegas how his ankle is. As for Mike. You'd think no problem. But I think he or someone said before that he can't see NRL live because of all the vocal work he does during a show, and he'd be too tired. I can't remember where I read that so I could be wrong.

I haven't really wanted to watch anything pre-Chester but for whatever reason I did last night. Shocked me to see Dean and the guys just going through the motions, so different from the shows I've been too where they smile and dance. I can't imagine how hard it must have been working with someone like Scott. I'm glad Chester has given them new life. Dean didn't tell us what we didn't know, that Chester gives 100% all the time! Can't wait to hear their studio album!!

AMAZING! Totally convinced me I have to go see them again this year. So much energy and this music just fits Chester's voice so well. Besides that, Dean DeLeo wins MVP of the band for defending Chester!! He was really upset. I hate that idiots can't move on. Pretty clear Chester is here to stay, or at the least they'll never go back to Scott. You guys have to watch. Wicked Garden, Pruno, Plush, Dead and Bloated. All just rock! -
Pretty sure there are lots of sold out shows, which is helped by the smaller venues. Still I know VIP sold out immediately at some shows. As a big fan of the current STP line up it doesn't bug me that it's not on the newswire. If anything it's easier to find the forum for STP stuff in its little section. And the FM thing is just my assumption. I think fans though feel more conflicted with Chester joining a new established band vs a side project. I trust his word that LP comes first. Just pumped for new music and tours from both bands!
-
STP was posted in the newswire with their tour announcement and some cool downloads. However this is a Linkin Park fansite, and I say this as someone who is beyond excited to see STP next week. People would be annoyed if we kept putting STP stuff on the newswire. That's why it has its own section. You can follow livestp on Twitter to get the news. Believe absolutely no disrespect is meant. I can safely save everyone I know who works on the site loves listening to Chester with STP. It just makes sense to have them separate because they're different bands. Whenever Fort Minor comes back I assume the same will happen.

Linkin Park to Headline River City Rockfest 2015
Numbrocker replied to hahninator's topic in Newswire
Lol Chester wouldn't waste his time with Scott. I'm stoked for this!!! Besides MFR this will be the cheapest I've ever spent on tickets. I hope LPU offers the $40 ones. Don't know the rest besides a little Papa Roach. Suggestions? -
I'm hoping they can debut something at RIR. They'll have enough time to practice. Not feeling like they'll do another tour though for USA. Hope I'm wrong but we'll see. Looks like 2013 again for the US but with more festivals.
