@m_shinoda ALL CAPS EVERYTHING #BurnItDown #LivingThings @linkinpark https://twitter.com/#!/m_shinoda/status...891215703642112 I'm pretty sure that's what this means. Mike is being so vague. Though with the PreOrder of the album on Monday, its the only thing I can assume. "LIVING THINGS" Thoughts on the album title? Or is it just him messing around? EDIT 4/15: Mike Shinoda has posted a new blog post on his official website, confirming the new album title to be "LIVING THINGS" as well as a very detailed story on the journey from Hybrid Theory to now on the band's evolution. A great read, be sure to check it out HERE. "Monday is almost here. Early Monday morning, our new single BURN IT DOWN will be released. The LIVING THINGS album pre-sale will begin. You’ll see the album cover, the track listing, and hear about some new tour plans. My bandmates and I are very excited for this week. Many of you know our story up until this point. We built the band upon the idea of fusing all our favorite styles of music–as different as they might be–into one, signature sound. Our first two albums were the result of a lot of hard work, perseverance, smarts, and luck, to build a toolbox that would provide us with what we needed to make the best songs we could at the time." Thoughts? The world of Linkin Park is starting to heat up and new album time is almost upon us!

I really think they are going to pull off the idea of mashing up all the albums into this new sound for Album 5. It's almost too much to take in. Big interview with Chester, 30sec snippet, song titles and some description of the sound. It's great, but overwhelming lol. I hope we get some sort of LPTV soon! (in color!)

BID Release Details + Album Artwork On April 16th
Numbrocker replied to [AndOne]'s topic in Newswire
Meh the only point of the title for me is to associated it with whatever music they put out. Meteora is my favorite album because of the music, and it could have been MMM Cookies and I still would've loved it. So not putting much stock into the "Living Things" title till we hear some music. And the LP twitter asking us for more puzzles, lol. I don't think so. Anyways this is all happening WAY before I thought it would, so any new music is like a blessing. I'm super content to just wait till April 16 for an HQ version of Burn It Down instead of running through some gauntlets to hear a snippet. Though good on you guys who are solving them. I like doing puzzles for puzzles, but I'm not going to stress about it. -
This And I love Chester in glasses, so this promo is working for me. Though I asked my friend and she said the eye surgery can sometimes wear off after 8-10 years, so they might be legit glasses.

Exciting stuff. First real studio video for this album. Next few months will be crazy!

Even with this article, I still feel like I have no idea what this album will sound like. They've been so adamant that they wouldn't return to HT days, so I doubt its will sound super close to that. (When They Come For Me? And it seems ugly but it can get worse. 'Cause even a blueprint is a gift and a curse. 'Cause once you got a theory of how the thing works. Everybody wants the next thing to be just like the first.) Plus all the albums have sounded like LP to me. Hmm I don't even know. Need a single. But even then Catalyst/WID didn't prepare me for ATS/MTM. Exciting times! This is all happening much sooner than I would have ever guessed!

I found out from ChesterBenningtonNetwork this morning. Here's the link http://entertainment.msn.com/beacon/editor...p;wa=wsignin1.0 The quote on the side: Back at the dawn of the millennium, nu-metal reigned supreme on the rock and pop airwaves. Combining heavy metal and rap, the style inspired strong opinions in both directions, and Linkin Park, though not the standard-bearers of the genre like Limp Bizkit, probably sold the most records. For example, their debut, 2000's "Hybrid Theory," sold over 10 million copies in America alone. Still, going strong despite the lack of cultural cachet, the band will release their fifth, very loud album in 2012. Mike came out with the last rumor and reamed LPA for posting the other article as fact. So I won't believe ANYTHING until one of the band members confirm. I do find it interesting that this keeps happening. But I'm still betting Album 5 will release in 2013 at the earliest, around early summer, IMO.

Just skimmed them quick and didn't hear any tracks (though the instrumentals sound fantastic!) *sigh* Thanks so much. I thought as much.

Question. I didn't buy LPU10, but it won't accept my info for LPU11. Would I have to make a new account? Did the old one delete since I didn't renew?

11.09.2011 - Chiba, Japan (Night 2) (LPU Summit #5)
Numbrocker replied to sotrix's topic in Previous Show Discussion
Wow that was great! Did not expect to hear that. I hope we get a proshot (though many thanks to the person who posted the video that's flying around!!!). I think I know which DSP I'll look into buying. NRL/BIO bridge is epic! I hope they drop BITS in favor for Mike getting better at NRL, and maybe one day we'll hear it live in full. But I'm super happy with the part he sang! -
31.08.2011 - Los Angeles, CA - Secret Show for Japan
Numbrocker replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
I still say seeing LP in an intimate setting like that will leave no one (who went) with complaints. Love the Messenger and wish to see it live, and it was appropriate for "theme" of the night. Setlist once again pretty solid. Also flame me if you want but I wouldn't be disappointed if I got Messenger over When They Come For Me (considering the rest of the setlist). But that's just me. -

Seeing LP at Best Buy Theater (about 2,000 people) was the best show I've ever seen. Intimate setting can not be discounted. Even if they play the same set (which is pretty kick butt honestly) then I'm sure no one will come away from that show disappointed. -
<3 Thanks!!! Can't believe it. lol.
-
No hate. I was just saying the I doubt a HT-less setlist would ever happen. (and I LOVE Meteora) Still curious about the ITE thing. Does anyone know off the top of their head if LP has done a set without it?
-
I would be stunned if they didn't play In The End, Crawling or One Step Closer. In fact, have they ever done a show without In the End?
-
Wow. I think this is just the tour title.... But you guys have fun speculating. Would bet real money though that its NOT a new setlist. I think the band has proven many times that they're loving the current setlist and won't be adding any "old" stuff soon. The only change I could possible see is the premier of Robot Boy, but nothing beyond that.
-
So much for not playing the US this year. I hope that if they do play more shows then its the ones that got cancelled.

04.07.2011 - London, England - iTunes Festival
Numbrocker replied to hahninator's topic in Previous Show Discussion
100x YES. I remember laughing when they stopped WJ&L while Chester was talking. I know they were running a bit late, but come on! Talking to the audience is part of the show. I feel like most of the time Chester or Mike say anything they have background music to it. -.- Add Wretches and Kings to that list and I'm with you. I feel like Wretches is the poor forgotten child and I do NOT understand why its not played live. I remember the crowd going OFF in New York for it. smh. Then in Houston while waiting for the concert everyone around me was talking about the possible setlist and the number one song people wanted to hear was Blackout (and then we didn't). So I don't see why they don't play these more for the ATS tour! I went to 3 shows for the ATS NA Tour and didn't hear Wretches once or even the Messenger. But I guess since those two aren't singles we won't hear them. I try not to find the rhyme or reason behind the setlist decisions anymore. Saying all that though, I really did like the concert. Lotta energy from the London crowd and the band seemed to be enjoying themselves playing. Chester sounded great! And it was in COLOR!! <3 Only "bad" part was Apple's epic fail of censorship.
