I guarantee the LinkingPark-Numb.exe isn't a hint at which song(s) will be released before the box set comes out. It's just a reference to a well-known meme about P2P file-sharing apps from the time Meteora came out.

HT20 leaked about two days early due to some people getting their box sets early. I listened to the leak because the estimated arrival date for my package was like the 17th or something and I didn't want to wait that long. lol

I'd love to get anything new that's Linkin Park related. I'm super pumped for the Meteora 20 thing but something new from the band would be even more exciting.

Yeah it's weird I always thought Figure.09 sounded the most like One Step Closer (aka Plaster) among the Meteora songs but assumed it couldn't be Plaster 2 based on the song's final title. I guess it went through multiple working titles then?

I just want to say I'm so happy to see this place active for a bit again. I'm going to enjoy hanging out with you guys over the next couple of months before things inevitably quiet down again.

This is dope as hell! It reminds me a lot of the VMA score and some of those MTM demos we got on LPU over the years.

95 and 75 aren't really that similar tempos. But yeah I also think if Plaster II is a song we've heard it's likely HTF.

I absolutely love A Thousand Suns (it's my second favorite album of all time behind The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails) but I don't think it's going to get the same love as Hybrid Theory, Meteora and Minutes to Midnight are likely to get.

They're holding them back for Hybrid Theory 30th Anniversary edition. lol

I really don't think we'll ever see Linkin Park as an active band again. We're going to get these nostalgia boxes and that's it. Mike seems much more interested in pushing new artists and doing NFT stuff.

That said I'm very excited for the nostalgia boxes. lol

Hybrid Theory 20 was announced in August for an October release date. If we're getting anything like it for Meteora we should know by the end of January I think. It honestly seems like Mike has moved on from Linkin Park so who knows if we get anything.

The Hybrid Theory Remixes was scrapped because of Meteora Remixes for 20th Anniversary is coming next March. Who knows. Just a guess. 

They wouldn't scrap a project for something else that's coming two years later. lol

It is a shame we never got more of these remixes. I didn't really like the 100 Gecs remix but I was looking forward to hearing more reinterpretations of the songs I've listened to hundreds (maybe thousands?) of times over the past two decades.

I hate that Mike is still on this NFT shit. I wish he would just release some new music normally again.

Yeah I think the original plan was probably a release for Reanimation's anniversary and since that passed without anything I think it's safe to say that it's not happening now.

It also says on the page that the bidding is from May 9th to May 31st. I'm guessing there are some technical issues on the page.

If they do another album with the intention of it being their last album I think it would be cool to dig some old songs out of the vault and rework them into something new so that Chester could still be a part of it in a way. If they decide they want to come back and just be a normal active band then I think recording with a new lead vocalist or just Mike on vocals would be the way to go.

I'm really hoping for a Meteora box set because I think it's our best bet to get some of the b-sides from that era that never saw the light of day. Getting some of those unreleased remixes would be cool too. At any rate I don't expect a box set to be as expansive as the Hybrid Theory one just because HT was a much bigger album. I could definitely see them doing a 5-CD set with Meteora, Collision Course, Meteora-Era LPU Tracks, Meteora Single B-Sides and an unreleased tracks CD like the HT box set had. If they do want to do something as big as Hybrid Theory 20 they could add in some DVD's with the behind the scenes documentary and a live show or two and some vinyl pressings of Meteora and Collision Course.
