Yeah my original estimated arrival was April 8th and then I got the email with the revised date. lol
At least I'll be able to stream the audio portion on Spotify in the meantime.
-
I got an email from Amazon saying that my estimated delivery date is May 2nd. 😭
-
Yeah but since Linkin Park wanted an instrumental on the album nothing was going to kick Session off of there.

Just to reiterate what I posted in the shoutbox some time ago: If "Hit The Floor" would've been released now it would get an overwhelming reaction because of Chester's screams in the chorus alone. Let's just wait until the novelty has worn off. You are comparing a "fresh" song with one we heard hundreds of times during the last 20 years.
Hit The Floor has been one of my least favorite Meteora tracks since the album released. I don't think any amount of time is going to make me like HTF more than Fighting Myself.
Hit The Floor is super fun to scream along to though which is nice. lol

I really think Fighting Myself with a little more polish should have replaced Hit The Floor on the final release.

Like most of the metal versions of OML. One thing that I really despise of the metal community is when they make a metal version of a pop hit which they consider awful, but when it has downtuned guitars and double bass, then it's marvelous. Guess what happens? If the original song was bad, the metal version... Still being bad. And, really? You eat any shit if it has loud guitars?
PS: I'm not bashing Lost, but the necessity of making everything METAL to be valid
I just want to point out that Nik actually liked Lost and also says his metal versions are shit so he's self-aware and not really trying to "fix" the song.

I'm definitely going to miss having the individual sleeves for each disc. Besides that I really like the photo album style of the new set.

Yes it will be on streaming April 7th.
-
That's awesome! I can't wait to hear it.

Yeah that's how we got a different version of Blackout in (I think) a FIFA game.
And most memorable for me there was blink-182's Feeling This in Madden 2004 under the working title (Action).
-
The game released in late 2008. I don't think there's any chance it was an alternate version of the song and it sounds like the version on MTM to me.
-
I think the 2002 mix of Lost is exclusive to the CD box set (which doesn't include Lost Demos - which is only in the deluxe set).

I'm talking about the lost demos
...
Why did they change the release date April 7th?
The box set (including Lost Demos) is coming out on April 7th, not March 23rd. The original leaked date was March 24th but when the set was officially announced in early February it was announced for an April 7th release. The date was never officially "changed" since the earlier date was never announced.

Next few weeks? The albums gonna drop less than 3, they better release it march 13th gotta keep the momentum going

It releases April 7th which is 33 days away or just under five weeks.
-
I wonder if we will end up getting either of these "officially" in the next few weeks ahead of the full set's release.

And don't forget on "And One" studio version that was played live. I want this version so much.
I don't think there was a studio recording of that version or it would have likely appeared with the updated Part of Me and Carousel on those demos. Though I suppose they could have done it around the time they rerecorded High Voltage.
-
There's the post-EP version of Part of Me, this version of By Myself, Deftest and some other Xero tracks. There's still a bunch of HT and Xero era stuff we don't have.

They have geoblocked it. "Nice" move from a band that love to say they have the best fans in the world.
That was one hundred percent a label issue or a rights issue. There's no way somebody in the band said "fuck everybody else" and released it as a US exclusive.
-
I wouldn't hold my breath on them releasing anything uncensored. Everything that was originally censored in the Hybrid Theory era remained censored on HT20 as far as I remember.
-
I don't know the full story for those songs so I can't say anything about them but Blackbirds was recorded and mixed during the Minutes to Midnight era. It originally released months before The Catalyst kicked off the A Thousand Suns era as a reward for completing the 8-bit Rebellion game. The only reason it ended up later releasing on a version of A Thousand Suns is because that's the album that had the nearest release date to 8-bit Rebellion. Blackbirds is 100 percent a Minutes to Midnight b-side. No part of it was worked on during the A Thousand Suns sessions.

Blackbirds was released in 2010 and was a bonus track for A Thousand Suns.
But the song was recorded during the Minutes to Midnight era. It's a b-side from MTM, not A Thousand Suns.
-
What's the source on those two songs being instrumental? Was it speculation or confirmed by somebody?
-
Massive, Resolution or Wesside could end up being Soundtrack with vocals.

I love it. The ending gives me chills even after over a dozen listens. This and Lost have already made the box set worth it to me and I haven't even got to experience any of the live tracks.
