  1. I think he mentioned it when the band was reacting to the Canes Bar & Grill San Diego show from 2001 back in March 2020.
  2. Where are these extracts of the interview on New York Times?
  3. Has anyone seen the recent KROQ interview with him with him talking about "Lost"? I found some interesting information that he spoke about. He said this about "Lost": "Well, "Lost" was like, "Lost" at the time, if I remember right, it was a long time ago, so I think the vibe on that, there's, there's a vibe of, like, the, the inspiration for it was looking back on things that are, like, you get memories that you just sucked into. Right? And you get immersed in that nostalgia, or good feeling or bad feeling or whatever, in the case of this song, I think there was a bunch of not so good stuff, but, um, it's, but it's bittersweet, it's a mixed bag because there's good stuff in there too, like, no things aren't black and white or cut and dry and that's the complex, that's what I like about the song, the, the lyrics of the song, um, but it's also a song that, it was this close to being on the record. So, when you, when you make an album, you make, if you're gonna end up with 12 songs, you might have made 20 something songs more, and at some point, you put them in kind of an order of, like, this is, these are the best ones, and then from there it goes down, and the one right on the other side of the line was this song "Lost", and the only reason it didn't go on is because it sounded, it had the same, like, intent in intensity as "Numb", and so we were like "Oh, we've already got that song, so we're gonna keep "Numb", we're gonna lose "Lost"." He said this about "Fighting Myself": "There's a song called "Fighting Myself" in this batch as well and I always remember that song as having two verses and no chorus. That's as far as we got with it. And then our manager pulled out, found a copy of it, they're like "send it to me, like Mike, listen to this." And it had a chorus on it, and I was like "Wait, I don't remember doing this chorus. Do we have more, like where, where is that, what is that song? Do we have multi-tracks?", and he was like "I think we found them all" and he found the, the session with the multis. Um, they were like exports, so I brought, I got to take them in the computer and pick through what was there and we had the makings of a chorus that was like 90% done. To the listener, it's done. To me, I knew we had more further to go, but I was like "You know, I, I could like re-record some of my verses and make the lyrics better and improve the song or whatever", but yeah that's not what this is about, this is about, this is about 2003 or whatever." Here's the video:
  4. It's almost the same. The only difference between what's on the sheet and what's in the finalized version is that the sheet had a demo chorus (TTTAMP) and the finalized version has a different chorus.
  5. What is Mike saying after Chester sings "I'm trapped in yesterday"? On Genius, it says he's saying "This is how it will be", but I feel like I'm hearing something else, though, I can't tell what he's saying. It sounds like "Just to never be", though, I'm not too sure. Edit: I think he's saying "Just a memory", though, again, I'm not too sure.
  6. It's actually also seen in the deluxe boxset cover and original album cover that were shown on the Warner store page when it leaked on the store.
  7. Someone already beat me to it, lol. Also, you were wrong on the lyrics "I've carried this weight for too long... Disassociated, unappreciated. And everything I've hated, keeping me so jaded. I look into the mirror, and I hate what I see. All my lifes disfuction, alive in front of me" being in "Lost". Those lyrics aren't even in the song, lol.
  8. I figured out almost all the lyrics to the 2nd verse. Here's the lyrics: [Verse 2: Chester Bennington with Mike Shinoda] But I’m tired I will always be afraid Of the damage I’ve received Broken promises they made And I’ll [?] I believed I will never break away (Can’t break free) Cause when I’m alone Edit: Nevermind
  9. @HFL377 mentioned that the song is in the key of B minor but he thought the guitars were tuned to Drop C#.
  10. I think it has all 7 of the studio album eras mixed into one song. It's a demo from the Meteora era, it has a kind of Hybrid Theory singing style that Chester does, as @IWillWalkAway mentioned, it has "In My Remains' vibes, as @STRANGELOVE92 mentioned, it sound a bit like a MTM demo, as @IWillWalkAway mentioned, it kind of also has a ATS singing style, similar to "Burning In The Skies", "Waiting For The End", or "Iridescent", in my opinion, it kind of also has a OML singing style, and it kind of also has "Until It's Gone" and "Final Masquerade" vibes too, in my opinion.
  11. It sounds like it's a part of the bridge based off the instrumental sounding exactly like the instrumental in the chorus from the other snippet/teaser. Anyways, here's the lyrics from this new snippet: [Chester Bennington] I try to keep this pain Inside my mind That'll never be alright I- It sounds like at the end, because it cuts off, that it most likely repeats again.
  12. C# Minor? Is that the key it's played in?
  13. We'll be getting the new image of the banner along with the Nobody's Listening voicemail later today.
  14. I already knew that, lol. Also, More the Victim sounds like it's either about betrayal, a toxic relationship, or an abusive relationship. That's what I think anyway. Guess we'll find out when it gets released.
  15. These make a ton of sense, though, I had a different opinion for Shifter. I was thinking about that the name Shifter is in relation to how the song shifts back and forth from the light and soft verses to the heavy and hard choruses. That's what I was thinking anyway.
  16. You're kind of wrong, lol. For ATS, there's LeftRight, Monday Meeting, Chicken Basket, and Fucking Awesome (That's all that I know of, anyway). For Living Things, the only one I know of is the fourth Until It Breaks demo with Chester's vocals. For The Hunting Party, the only one I know for that is The Glistening. And for One More Light, there's Friendly Fire, Tidal Wave, My Horizion, and Ricochet (I'm pretty sure there are more, but those are the ones I know of at the moment). Lol, I just noticed it.
  17. Maybe he does some backing vocals during the verses. You can hear him whisper "Can't break free" when Chester sings "And I'll never break away" in both snippets.
  18. When the song gets released Friday, I’m gonna have a field day with editing on Genius, lol.
  19. It's basically a b-side to Meteora.
  20. Meanwhile, I can't stop, lol. It's too catchy. Heck, the lyrics I heard in the snippet are already stuck in my head, lol. Anyway, I can't wait to hear the full song on Friday.
  21. And we'll get to hear the full song Friday! Can't wait!
  22. Here are the lyrics from the snippet: [Verse: Chester Bennington with Mike Shinoda] And I'll never break away (Can't break free) Cause when I'm alone [Chorus: Chester Bennington] I'm lost in these memories Leaving behind my own illusion
  23. Did anyone download this before it got removed?
