On Linkinpedia, it says that the DEFKICK0 sample is "My Own Summer (Shove It)". Not sure if you are wrong or they are wrong. Who knows. Unless you meant to put DEFTKICR instead of DEFTKICK0. I found the deftones sample already, lol. Yes, it does come from "Around The Fur". I'll check in a bit to see if the sample is used in another Deftones song. The P_Weston sample does belong to Paul Weston, but as for what the song is that is sampled, I don't know. The OUTKAST_ sample belongs to the band Outkast, but as for what the song is that is sampled, I don't know. Since it's in the Xero Current folder, which contains samples that date back to the earliest 1997 to the latest of 1999 or early 2000, it must be a sample to one of their songs from one of their albums before 2000. The albums that can be considered are 'Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik', which was released in 1994, 'ATLiens', which was released in 1996, and 'Aquemini', which was released in 1998. Also, I think the TIMDRUMS and TIMKICK1 samples come from a song (or a couple of songs) by Primus. I think the names of the samples refer to Tim Alexander, the drummer of Primus. The sample comes from a song off one of their albums before he left the band in 1996 before later rejoining in 2003, to which he left again in 2010, then rejoined in 2013. The albums that can be considered from his first stint in the band are 'Frizzle Fry', which was released in 1990, 'Sailing the Seas of Cheese', which was released in 1991, 'Pork Soda', which was released in 1993, and 'Tales from the Punchbowl', which was released in 1995.

Have you not seen this topic, lol?

Does anyone know the origins of the P_WESTON, NIN_BLUE, NIN_CRAK, DEFTKICR, and OUTKAST_ samples, which come from the Xero Current folder? Also, does anyone know the origins of the LIMPKICK sample, which comes from the NewFinishesA folder? I've been try to figure out where these samples originate from with no luck. Edit: I commented on a couple YouTube videos of Closer from Nine Inch Nails a year ago asking if there were any Nine Inch Nails experts there on YouTube. A couple different people replied back to me saying that there were or maybe were. I just recently replied back with a link to the NIN_BLUE and NIN_CRAK samples. I'm awaiting an answer at the moment. I will edit this when I get an answer.

There's also "Pointillism" too, which is a 1998 Mike Shinoda demo from the Xero era.

Meteora (20th Anniversary Edition) | Out April 7, 2023
NJPLP replied to BeardyWilderness's topic in Newswire
Who knows what "Massive", "Healing Foot", "Wesside", and "Resolution" truly are. Only time will tell. Only on April 7th will we find out the truth and, hopefully, put an end to the never ending questions and speculations about the Lost Demos. -
That's very true. Especially the "I'm lost", "I try to keep this pain", "I will never be", and "alright" backing vocals that harmonize behind Chester's lead vocals in the bridge.
-
I have a feeling that's the exact reason on why they pushed the release date for it from March 24th to April 7th. They want to avoid something like that happening again.

Is the alternate reality version music video on YouTube?
-
It seems March is PACKED with Linkin Park related stuff: March 3rd - Still Alive (Demi Lavato) [Written and Produced by Mike Shinoda] March 10th - Scream VI (Mike's solo song will be somewhere in the movie) March 17th - Wake Me and ...No Sun Today reissues released on streaming platforms (Grey Daze) March 24th - Fighting Myself (Linkin Park) Edit: Fixed this list.

LP Albums And Rarities For Every 20th Anniversariy Album Edition.
NJPLP replied to AJ93's topic in Everything Linkin Park
There's a couple more things you forgot for 'The Hunting Party'. You forgot "Final Masquarade (Acoustic)". You also forgot about there being an early version of "War". Here's the information about it on Linkinpedia: "Very little changed between the demo version of the song, and the track found on The Hunting Party, though an early version of the track did have Chester yelling "1-2-1-2-FUCK-YOU" instead of the "1-2-1-2-THANK-YOU" that made the album."- 123 replies

Meteora (20th Anniversary Edition) | Out April 7, 2023
NJPLP replied to BeardyWilderness's topic in Newswire
I thought Massive was an instrumental, like Healing Foot was also supposed to be an instrumental. I remember seeing something either in the chatbox or on in a tweet from LPLive saying that tracks 1-3 (Lost, Fighting Myself, and More The Victim), and tracks 6-14 (A6 (Meteora|20 Demo), Cuidado ("Lying From You" Demo), Husky ("Hit The Floor" Demo), Interrogation ("Easier To Run" Demo), Faint (Meteora|20 Demo), Plaster 2 ("Figure.09" Demo), Shifter ("From The Inside" Demo), Wesside, and Resolution from the Lost Demos have vocals, while they didn't mention tracks 4 and 5 (Massive and Healing Foot) having vocals, leading me to believe those two are instrumentals. -
This is my video, lol. In the description, I said it was just a concept. I'm pretty sure this is not what the actual track will sound like.

"Somewhere I Belong" was debuted live on February 23rd, 2003, but it was released as the lead single for Meteora on March 17th, 2003, 7 days before Meteora was released, according to it's Linkinpedia page.
-
Funny enough, you're right with one of those days. Per the chat box a couple days ago, Martinez said the next song "Fighting Myself" would become available everywhere March 3rd, 2023.
-
That's the rap verses demo of Figure.09. We're getting Plaster 2 (Figure.09 Demo). Plaster 2 is most likely the singing verses demo (that's what I think, anyway).
-
Well, that's not the last of the mysteries of Meteora. We still don't know what Nocturnal is.

The Ultimate Working Titles Thread
NJPLP replied to lpliveusername's topic in Everything Linkin Park
The working title of More The Victim is Cumulus. -
So I'm guessing it still stands as "Serpent" for now?
-
Fighting Myself is Shortcut. Underneath Shifter and above Nocturnal.
-
I'll fix it. Edit: Fixed it.
-
I'm wondering though. Where did "Fighting Myself" originally come from? We recently found out that "More The Victim" came from "Cumulus".
-
I think we only have 14 at the moment. We don't have 15 quite yet. Here's the list: 1. Don't Stay (Sick) 2. Somewhere I Belong (Pretty Birdie/Pretty Birdy) 3. Lying From You (Cuidado) 4. Hit The Floor (Husky) 5. Easier To Run (Interrogation) 6. Faint (Faint) 7. Figure.09 (Plaster II/Plaster 2/Figure.09) 8. Breaking The Habit (Drawing) 9. From The Inside (Shifter) 10. Nobody's Listening (Working title unknown) 11. Numb (Working title unknown) 12. Lost (Possibly Resolution) 13. Fighting Myself (Shortcut) 14. More The Victim (Cumulus) Number 15 is either A6 (A-Six/A.06), Wesside, or Resolution, though, I'm pretty sure the 15th one is probably A6. Who knows. Also, for Resolution, there have been many theories that Resolution is a demo of Lost. That hasn't been confirmed yet, but, if that's the case, then we'll have three different versions of Lost.
-
If that is the case with "Healing Foot", then that brings down the Rob drum song to being either "Massive", "Wesside", or "Resolution". Who knows.
-
Lol. I use a website called TimeStretch (https://29a.ch/timestretch/) to slow down songs so I can figure out the lyrics to songs. Also, the lyrics "Somebody angry broken" belong to "More The Victim".
