Are you talking about the one with CB and the rest of GD like on the spotify page ?

I really dont have no problem with it, thats how most people recognize Chester, high quality promo shots, it would look silly if they used 20 year old shots of chester.

The band and the music they are going to release is 20 years old so actually there wouldnt be any problem with them using a 20 years old photo

No problem and me too. How do people do like the big professional scans of stuff? I took these on my iPhone. That pic of Chester is cool.

I always use scanner on my computer printer for that. Your iPhone photo works just fine i can read everything without any problem. Wow this photoshoot looked like so much fun. Were they on the cover as well? The interview was a very interesting read. I would love to read more scans like that.

lol ive just noticed they compared their album sales to Christina Aguilera i cannot. Why though? She was a Britney wannabe and Britney Spears first two albums are one of the best selling albums of all times with Hybrid Theory so yeah.

Used to be easy to post photos but for some reason there is no longer an option for it. I guess later I can just type the whole article but then you won't get the photos of it, etc.

You can upload photos on imgur or other server and it will create a link that you can just copy and paste and then click insert image from url

or type [ img ] your link [/img  ] without caption in between []

Some do IMO, and some don’t. For example, I think Technique, Step Up and the original High Voltage don’t really fit because they’re very hip hop driven, more so than any of the stuff on Hybrid Theory. You could argue that CFTI is too but it’s a bit different. Now, the reworked version of High Voltage that was cut from the album with the CFTI transition would have worked because it fit the sound better. It’s more the beat of the old one and the style of it that wouldn’t have fit IMO.

Carousel, And One and Part Of Me are the big rock songs of the release. And One I think would fit the best, especially the version they were playing live during the HT shows, because the HTEP version has the rap outro and that wouldn’t fit the style of the album. Carousel would have worked if they kept it sounding more like the HTEP version, the versions after it changed the whole vibe and atmosphere of the song drastically, it made it sound almost poppy in some ways, while the HTEP version is extremely dark and menacing sounding, very hard vocals in the chorus that are amazing, and would fit with stuff like the hard vocals on the final Crawling, etc. Part Of Me I think would fit well, has the vibe of the album and I think a cross between the more finished version with the screaming of the ‘’cut myself free’’ vocals and maybe the style of the chorus on the HTEP version would work good. Of course the hidden track would be cut, as epic as it is, it would not fit.

As for other demos from the era, I think Slip would have fit on the album if they had tuned it up more and re-recorded vocals. The rest I can’t really see fitting, even though there are great songs like So Far Away and She Couldn’t, they were too ahead of their time to make the album IMO.

And one last thing, n00bs always say My December, but that song was written months after the album was finished, so it makes no sense, and it doesn’t fit with the style of the album anyways as epic as it is. It’s more of a re-release bonus track if anything.

I agree on that. I also always have And One live version cause its more epic and i listen to it more often.
From Part of me i love cut myself free part the most lol. It would suit HT very much. Lyrically and musically.
She Couldnt and So far away are totally different. I was always actually shocked they made songs like this during that era. She couldnt was almost different genre and so far away with Mike on vocals gives me so much hope for new rock album lol.
My December was Def more mature imo. Doesnt fit HT at all plus it was recorded later as you have said.
I like High Voltage its epic but I prefer love version over any studio version of if.
i dont know why but Step up would fit Meteora somehow.
Carousel would fit but i would rework music a bit. Maybe more guitars.

why do I feels like this is some kind of trap??!!

what if warner never release those stuffs to public?

what if they don't let anyone share anything from that era because they own everything now?!

    I really don't trust warner.

    Wow what a theory lol

They made a good choice to make White Noise then cuz it's an amazing track. Blows away 90%  of their heavier songs prior to like New Divide.

One of their best „heavy” songs IMO

No. None of this can be shared openly on this site because this site collaborates with LP management and record label. It's not allowed.

You also just asked this a couple weeks ago, and as you were told then: All of this stuff is pretty easy to find through simple Google searches, honestly.

also i love spanish posts on the english speaking forum lol.

Does this have backstage footage from Projekt Revolution 2007? Wondering since they used a photo from that tour as a promo for this album (was also already used by LPU but hey).

funny how suddenly there are so many photos of Chester with GD in this footage but yet they chose a photo from LP for their promo merch lmfao

"We kept collaborations limited to people Chester was close to"

"Here's a song featuring a conveniently-named singer who Chester never met or even mentioned publicly while he was alive, he told Sean he liked one of her songs once though!"

Collab with that LP singer is the most irrelevant and out of nowhere thing i have seen in a while. I really like her though and have respect for her but wtf is she doing over there i have no idea. Literally no connection to Chester. Not even close. Beside the same shortname as his main band lol.

Agreed 100%. Photo isn't even relevant to the project whatsoever. If they had one of those group shots of Grey Daze from the 90's for sale, I'd buy that. But they don't want to promote Grey Daze as a band from the 90's. They are forcing it almost like it's some new band that Chester created right before he passed, like a day before he passed for Christ's Sake. They even took those portraits of the 4 of them and made it look like they all took a photo together for the album. Sean wants fans to forget about the original GD music and era.

A poster with Chester with his long hair and baby face would be epic. They really should do it.
i want this album to be released and them getting back to be an irrelevant has been again.

They missed the entire point of the LPU photo. They are using Linkin Park photos to advertise this project and the "signature CB look" from the LP days to sell this project. That's where the problem comes into play. You aren't promoting this at all using the GD-era CB. LP has nothing to do with this band. Look at them using only CB on Spotify for the header photo. They need to re-evaluate themselves and how this is all coming across (like a cash grab based on CB's image).

    This.

i would totally buy a poster with Chester from GD era or even the whole band. I would not say about it a cash grab whatsoever. Would be an awesome thing to have. Yet they chose his image from LP era that is not connected to GD times at all. It simply doesnt make any sense.

You’re correct it just doesn’t interest me that much. But hopefully people will enjoy the album, I have nothing against anyone who likes it.

I hope i will like some of the songs as well. I never mind hearing some good songs with Chester’s vocals on it.

All this hype about alternate vocal takes is nothing much. It’s the same as like the backing vocals on NCSM with Chester singing the same thing slightly different. And they probably aren’t even that different at all. Sounds like one was used for that Hole remix for example judging by the video. That’s all it means. They only starting saying that once fans brought up that it was the same vocals from the 90’s so they could try and make it seem better.

I know but sometimes the first take might sound different than the last take right. A regular listener wont find out any difference anyway.

Some of the vocals on these songs are unreleased and are alternate takes/demo takes from that time period. Example - they record vocals 5-10 times for a song and use 1 take or splice some together. For this, they might use any of those takes/pieces.

I agree. Do the Whats in the eye and Sickness contain any unheard vocals though? I havent compared them to original versions side by side yet.
