This sucks....I hope Warner doesn't close down LPlive or LPtimes.
-
HELL. FUCKING. YES. I LOVE CRANK!!! I LOVE GIVEN UP (BEST LP SONG NEXT TO WID) AND I LOVE CHESTER! I can't wait for this movie. I'm going to see it opening night. Also, there better be way more nudity in the actual movie and not just that trailer. And LOL at ''I'm gonna have to smack a bitch?''
-
Kinda but I do think Mike is way more talented than the rest of the band members, and I do want another FM badly.
-
The next album should be FM, not LP. Mike is like the only talented member in LP anyways.
-
They don't work...
-
I agree with STOP PLAYING SIB. It's so old and it's annoying to hear live IMO. I also thought they should bring back And One in an encore in at least one of their setlist. It's an old classic, it would sure get the fans pumping.
-
Best song to open main set: One Step Closer Best song to close main set: Bleed It Out Best song to open encore: What I've Done Best song to close encore: Faint (my fav LP song)
-
Warner are a bunch of fucking Nazi's so who cares? PLENTY of other band's fans are able to make fansites, it shouldn't be such a big fucking problem. I hope LP realizes what is happening to the fans.

Milton Keynes sucks ass but I think the best performance is only Crawling because you can hear the keyboard for once. Jay-Z sucked on the DVD, especially look at the jacket he was wearing. Wtf? Is he blind?

Ok, so here goes my first out of two reviews for PR08... I remember watching a shit ton of LPTV the night before this show and just genuinely being really excited for this show. We headed down to the venue kind of early in the morning, I think we left my house at about 9AM, me and my girlfriend, with my Grandma driving us down. My friend didn't end up going to this show with me for some reason, despite having gone to PR07 and the Manchester, NH show with me earlier in the year. Once we got to the venue, we waited in line for what seemed like FOREVER. Once we were let in the venue, we immediately went to watch Armor For Sleep. I was a big fan of Armor For Sleep at this time and I really wanted to see them play. They put on a great show, and played a new song called ''This Abyss'' that eventually came out on an EP later in the year, which turned out to be their last work before they broke up. Bummer. We then watched Hawthorne Heights, who I was also a huge fan of at the time, and I liked their set a lot. I don't think my girlfriend liked them, but whatever. Next up was 10 Years, who I wasn't really familiar with at the time besides the song Wasteland. I really wish I watched them at this show but we decided to go check out the merch and get some food, etc. during their set. My girlfriend didn't really like them, so that was partially why. But man I wish I watched them. Atreyu was next, who both me and my girlfriend absolutely loved at the time, we were huge fans. Really a great band, and they put on a really kick ass show. Tons of energy and fun. I remember at one point, Alex Varkatzas made the crowd get down on their knees, and once he said go, everyone jumped up at the same time, it was really cool. I can't remember what song it was, though. After their set, we decided to head over to the Main Stage. S.D.C. was done by the time we got to our seats, since we had walked around for a little while before we got there. I thought Ashes Divide were kind of a bore, but they were still pretty cool, I thought. Busta Rhymes was awesome, he put on a really energetic and awesome show. He was probably my favorite artist on the Main Stage, just because he was so full of energy and the crowd really liked him. It was cool to see him live as well. I thought The Bravery were kind of a bore as well, which is funny because I actually enjoyed them in Hartford a few days after this show a lot. Chris Cornell was pretty awesome. I had no clue that Chester would be coming out for Hunger Strike, since this was the first show of the tour, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was fucking awesome. He sang it incredibly. After Chris Cornell's set, it was finally time for Linkin Park. S.D.C. opened the set with a cool intro, which led into One Step Closer, which got the crowd going big time. Lying From You had the new intro, which was really epic to see, I love that. Wake 2.0 was also cool to see. Chris Cornell came out and sang Crawling with Linkin Park, which was fucking epic. Busta Rhymes also came out and did We Made It with Linkin Park, and it was fucking incredible, I loved it. It was really cool to see that live and you could tell the band was having a lot of fun. It was a great show overall, no complaints, other than the fact that they dropped What I've Done at the show due to time constraints. After the show, me and my girlfriend headed out to the parking lot to find my Grandma. After that, we got some food at a nearby Taco Bell, which was actually pretty nasty, and we went home after a long but awesome day.

I was going to this show with my best friend, like we did in 2007, so it was awesome, I was excited. His Dad was driving us down and coming with us to the show, like he did at the Manchester, NH show earlier in the year, the Bleed It Out guy. At about 8:30 AM, we stopped at got some food, etc. We also stopped at Walmart along the way so they they could grab a few things, I think his Dad needed something there, I can't really remember. He then went to check into the hotel for the night, even though I wasn't staying over with them. My Mom was going to pick me up at the end of the show because she was visiting my Aunt in Connecticut the same day and it worked out easier for me. After that, we went to McDonald's near the venue and chilled for a bit in the parking lot to kill time since we were early. A bunch of people were there as well, loudly playing music in their cars. My friend's Dad actually got a violation ticket for 5 bucks because we were playing it so loud, so fucking funny, and what's even funnier is I think it was Bleed It Out!!! After that, we drove down to the venue and tried to find a parking space, which was hard. During this, some missionaries tried to hand us pamphlets about God, which was funny. Eventually we got to the line and waited, just like we did in 2007. The weather was pretty sunny, which was a good thing. Once we were let in, we bought some merch, I bought the show poster which turned out being a horrible idea since I had to carry around in this huge cardboard tube the whole day. We then headed over to the Revolution Stage and watched Armor For Sleep tear it up. Again, huge fan of those guys and they performed amazingly once again. During their last song, we went and got some free Monster at the Monster Energy section and then went back down to watch Hawthorne Heights who weren't really good at all, IMO. Their singer sounded terrible live, despite sounding pretty good in Mansfield. I still like the band a lot but they didn't sound too great at this show. I got to watch 10 Years at this show who played really well. Seeing them got me into the band, which I now love. I had also missed them in Mansfield so it was really cool seeing them. I didn't get to watch Atreyu at this show because my friend wanted to get front row on the bar for Linkin Park and if we watched Atreyu, we would lose that chance. On the way to the Main Stage it started pouring severely. I got completely soaked, as well as the cardboard tube I was carrying with my show poster in it. It sucked, and it put me in a bad mood. I was really thirsty as well, and I had no money, so my friend bought me a cup of water, which was really cool of him. We got to the Main Stage area which was luckily indoors, so we didn't have to continue to standing in the rain. We didn't really know where the hell the line was, though. It was a cluster fuck of people waiting, literally everywhere, in all corners of this huge room. Some complete asshole actually came up to my friend's Dad face and started bitching about how he was there first, etc. We weren't even cutting anyone or even in line yet, keep in mind, so it was unnecessary. He yelled at everyone in the room, basically. In other words, he really needed to just chill the fuck out. My friend's Dad was about the beat the shit out of him, but he forced him not to so we wouldn't get thrown out of the venue. Something awesome happened to him though, but I won't say what it was quite yet. We finally got let in, and S.D.C. just showed up and started playing. We were front row, which was awesome. They were really fun to watch, it got the small crowd that was there at the time pumped up. Next came Ashes Divide, who were pretty good, I thought they were a little boring for a main stage act though, just like in Mansfield. Next up was Busta Rhymes who was hands down the best act on the Main Stage again next to Linkin Park. He put on a great show, so much energy, and the crowd absolutely loved him, just like in Mansfield. Remember the guy I talked about before, the guy who yelled in our face? Well, he had his hand up doing the heavy metal devil horn's thing and Busta Rhymes actually stopped rapping and went ''What the fuck are you doing? Put your hands up, not that shit, fuck that shit''. It was so fucking funny, the guy got so embarrassed, and EVERYONE around us laughed since he was being such an asshole to everyone else beforehand, it was sweet revenge. I'm glad that happened, he deserved it!!! Next up was The Bravery who were good. I actually really enjoyed their set, which was weird since I didn't love them at Mansfield. The singer called out someone in the crowd who he was related to, and told them to meet him backstage after the set, I thought that was pretty cool. Chris Cornell was up next, he was absolutely amazing as expected once again. Chester came out on Hunger Strike again, which was epic once again. We saw him waiting at the side of the stage beforehand. He sang it perfectly, I think it was one of the better performances of the song on the tour, actually, and I'm not being biased since it was from my show. Finally, it was Linkin Park time. The lights went out and S.D.C. started their awesome intro, then came One Step Closer. By the time the main riff started, the whole pit basically did this wave thing and I fell backwards from the force. It was crazy. They rocked though Lying From You, which was awesome with the new intro and everything. Unfortunately, I was really dehydrated at this show and I actually had to leave in the middle of the show because of it. I was literally passing out, so I figured it would be better for my health if I left. I tried to hang in there as long as I could, constantly asking the security for water, etc., but it went ignored. I stayed up until the middle of Shadow Of The Day, and then I had to walk out. I missed some great stuff which I still beat myself up over sometimes, like when the band brought out Chris Cornell for Crawling and gave him a cake and a present and all that because it was his birthday. I also missed We Made It too, which sucked, but at least I got to see it at Mansfield a couple days prior... Anyways, after I left, I went out and waited for my Mom to pick me up, like she said she was going to. Things got REALLY shitty after this. I called her and she was at my Aunt's house still, which was about 30 minutes away. What the fuck. She was supposed to be at the venue by then. It then started fucking POURING rain, way worse than it was during the day. The poster got completely soaked too, which sucked. It would have been completely ruined if it weren't from the damn cardboard tube that I hated carrying around all day. They finally got to the venue after the show was over, and I was really, really thirsty. I was basically sitting down on the ground at that point because I legit though I was dying. Luckily, they brought the Powerade that I told them to bring me over the phone. They got pissed off at me the entire ride home because I was in such a bad mood. It also escalated my anger that during the show, a security guard gave this girl in front of us a whole bottle of water even though I was asking him the entire time for water and he ignored me, what a prick. Once we got home, I think I took a shower, drank a shit ton of water and Powerade, and passed the fuck out.

This was a really fun day. We drove down in the morning, my Grandma drove us down for this show. This time not being such a long drive since Hartford is only about an hour and a half from where we live. We went to Dunkin' Donuts in the morning and got these SoBe Energy Coolatta things, and they turned my fingers green for some reason, I don't know why I remember that, but yeah. Was kind of annoying. When we got to the show, there were tons of people already waiting in line. The heat sucked that day. It wasn't sunny that day, but more of an extremely humid and gray type of day. Anyone who lives in New England will know what I mean about that type of summer day. It sucked getting inside the venue because my friend wasn't allowed in at first. He was carrying a bag full of CD's that we planned on getting signed at the meet and greet, and also for merch when we bought it at the show. Well apparently, at this venue, you couldn't even bring a small bag. I started arguing with them, saying how we went to another show and they allowed it, but they told me that if I continued to argue I would be thrown out of the venue. Needless to say, I shut up. We didn't have a car or anything to put the bag in, and we sure as hell weren't going to carry all the CD's around all day, so he asked this lady if we could leave it in her car. She was nice and said yes. Super risky of him. We missed Madina Lake because of this whole problem, but we were right up in front for Styles Of Beyond. I didn't get to see them in Mansfield because Tak was sick that day, so I was pumped to see them. They put on a really good show. For some reason, I remember them playing a song called ''Kick Me Out'' that they said was off their new album coming out soon. It was a mystery for the LONGEST time, because I really liked the song, and it ended up coming out as a bonus track on the Razor Tag portion of Reseda Beach in late 2012. It wasn't on the original Razor Tag mixtape in 2007. Apathy, being from Connecticut, actually came out for the show and did a song or two with them, I can't remember which songs. Mike also did Second To None with them and it was epic. I recorded it on my LG Chocolate cell phone but it didn't come out good. All I can remember is that Mike said during the intro of Second To None ''Who's ready for some Big Daddy Kane shit?''. After their set we went to meet them at their Meet & Greet line, really cool guys, really nice. I told them that was me who asked why they weren't at Mansfield and they talked with me for a bit, it was awesome. I think we hung out for a while walking around and what not during The Bled and Saosin. We got some food at one point, and we missed part of Mindless Self Indulgence's set. Once the main stage started up, I didn't feel like watching Julien-K, so I walked around for a bit and hung out, etc.. My friend watched them, though, and he was lucky, because Chester came out and did Technical Difficulties with them. I wish I had just watched them from the pit like he did, but I watched some of it from a set of steps somewhere near the main stage area. He watched some of Placebo, as did I, from the steps, and we met up after their set. We both had Meet & Greet passes at this show, so we started to go find the line. Luckily, we got to see Taking Back Sunday from where we were standing, waiting in line. My Mom had arrived at the venue at this point, and she met us at the Meet & Greet line and watched Taking Back Sunday and My Chemical Romance, too. My Mom was our ride home but she wanted to see the show. The Meet & Greet ran REAL late at this show, so it didn't even start until towards the end of My Chemical Romance's set, which severely sucked. Once we got in, the band was really nice, though. Mr. Hahn gave me a free Java Monster, I think the flavor was Mean Bean. He was like ''Do you like coffee?''? I said ''Yes'' and he gave me it. Really funny. Once it was over, we went down into the pit. We had a huge guy from the Meet & Greet push us through the crowd, so we could get right up on the bar in the pit, pretty asshole move, but fuck it. The lights went out and we heard the gunshot intro for One Step Closer. Everything was pitch black for a moment. The kabouki dropped and Mike and Chester came running out, followed by Brad and Phoenix. Chester screamed ''What the fuck is up!!'' right before the first verse. The crowd went nuts throughout the entire song, I love it as an opener. Much better than Wake as an opener, IMO. No More Sorrow was hands down the best performance at this show, though. I remember everyone getting real into it, and Chester just stood in silence for the entirety of the intro, and then started headbanging like crazy once the heavy part of the intro kicked in, He actually through the mic stand, then picked it up and started singing the first verse real well. The rest of the set was awesome. Before In The End started, Mike was telling us about the whole picture in the backstage area thing. Listen to the DSP and you'll see what I mean. So funny. Chester saying ''Celine fucking Dion''. It was awesome, they took a huge pic of the crowd and they tore through the rest of the set, ending nicely with Faint. It was a really great show. My Mom watched MCR and LP from the back and she liked it a lot, too. Overall, just an A+ show. After the show, we found my Mom and we headed to the parking lot to head home. I think we stopped at a Taco Bell or something to eat. I'm pretty sure my friend slept over my house when we got back home and we prepared for Syracuse the entire next day.
-
Wtf? What was that supposed to mean?
-
I bet that was why. I was at the show in Mansfield this year too. I guess they just like to cut songs at my shows?
-
This was an interesting show to say the least. We prepared the entire day before, getting hyped up, etc. since this was the last show of the tour we would be going to, me and my friend. We drove down early in the morning, my Grandma drove us down again. Little did I know that it was in the most middle of nowhere, hick town there is. It took us three hours to get there, and when we finally did, we were way too early. We checked into the hotel since we were staying overnight in Syracuse for this one, and then we drove to the New York State Fair, where Projekt Revolution took place. I thought it was a weird choice for a tour date, but oh well. We saw the tour buses and Nathan from Madina Lake actually came over to us and shook our hand, I told him I loved Madina Lake, etc. and it was pretty cool, really nice guy. I asked him if they were going to play Stars and he said they don't usually play that song. Not sure why I asked him that, I think I loved that song at the time. Anyways, me and my friend had to go to the will call booth and pick our Meet & Greet passes. We were really lucky to have got another Meet & Greet pass for this show. I knew we would get one since it was the smallest crowd of the entire tour by far, I didn't see anybody online talking about the show, etc. Anyways, the man there had absolutely no idea what we were talking about. Eventually, we asked someone else and they gave us FOUR passes instead of two. Wow, was that lucky. We gave one to this girl's boyfriend so we could go, and I gave the other one to my Grandma, so she could take pics. We missed Madina Lake since we were stuck at the will call booth for like an hour, but we managed to see Styles Of Beyond which put on a sick show. It was hot as fuck and muggy that day, and all the bands were talking about the heat. It was also really muddy and dirty too, since it was in the middle of a huge field. Very hick. We didn't watch The Bled or Saosin, since we saw them prior at Mansfield and Hartford, and we just walked around and chilled. I got sick during Mindless Self Indulgence's set unfortunately so I was stuck in the bathroom, which sucked because they put on a kick ass show, from what I heard, but they always do. After the Revolution Stage came a huge problem. Since Syracuse was so fucked up with everything, they made it so that everyone who didn't have pit tickets stay up in the seats for the whole main stage. I don't mean seats like in every amphitheater, I mean seats like at a horse track. Keep in mind that this was in the middle of the NY state fair, so having seats pretty much would have sucked because it was incredibly far away from the stage. Luckily, we had pit tickets. My friend watched Julien-K, Placebo and HIM in the pit, and I stayed off to the sides and sat down and watched them, because I was still sick. Around the time that Taking Back Sunday came on, I felt better, and I watched their entire show, as well as the first couple of songs from My Chemical Romance. People started lining up for the Meet & Greet at the side of the stage, which was different, but we headed to the line. Gerard Way even pointed it out, he said something like ''What the fuck is this line for? Oh, meeting Linkin Park.'' It was a really weird choice to have the Meet & Greet line. Once we got in, I did the usual, talked to the band, shook their hands, etc. My Grandmother got a great pic of me and Chester shaking hands, it was awesome. After the Meet & Greet, we headed back to the pit for Linkin Park. My Chemical Romance's set was over once we got back from the Meet & Greet. We waited and waited and finally, the lights went out and Wake started the set. Then was Given Up and No More Sorrow and so on and so forth. They didn't play Don't Stay at this show for an unknown reason. They put on a great show, though, it wasn't bad. At the ending of Numb, Chester mentioned the shark tank and stuff since we were in the field of the New York State Fair, that was pretty funny, because it was literally in the middle of this huge open field with mud and dirt everywhere. Before The Little Things Give You Away started, Chester mentioned how we weren't the biggest crowd, but we were definitely a passionate crowd. They rocked Faint and Bleed It Out, even though they skipped the drum solo at this show too, which sucked. After Linkin Park ended the set, we tried to find the way to get out of the venue, it was really confusing and a long ass walk. We finally got to the parking lot, met up with my Grandma, and left the ''venue'''. I remember we stopped at some 24/7 grocery store and got some food, since we couldn't find any restaurants in the area, even remotely. After that, we went back to the hotel and crashed. The next day we drove home, and I was sad that the tour was over for me, but it was a tour I will NEVER forget.

I wrote like 6 reviews and I don't get a mention? Wtf?
-
A couple more shows that deserve recognition are Dublin, MSG and Camden. Great crowds.
-
My favorites shows were Edgefest, PR Mansfield, Athens and probably the show in Madrid.
-
That's kind of weird...idk why they would do that?
-
There better be LPTV this year or I will be so mad. I hope we get a full length long ass DVD for the making of the new album too. I love when they show us the stories and how they made the album, etc.

Hartford 07 was like the best show ever.
