  1. No Tom Morello.

So Aaron from Of Mice & Men joined on the Ballad Medley. He sang.

    Set A.

    - Key samples on intro to GATS were fucked up.

    - Given Up intro clapping was stopped and restarted.

    - Aaron on Ballad Medley singing. Chester introduced him by saying "Make some noise for Aaron everybody."

    - Chester started giggling during the first few lines of Burn It Down.

    - Chester in crowd on WFTE outro.

    - English flag w/ a goofy Mike Shinoda face drawn on it was hung on the keyboard during the encore break.

    - Chester's microphone cut off during the first few lines of Until It's Gone.

BIO was drum solo + Catalyst.

    - After BIO drum solo, the video screens started showing "test card" and had no visuals.

Sounds like a LOT of technical problems at this show.

I think the band needs to buy new equipment. Every concert something doesn't work.

  2. Yeah, because a CD full of live performances you can as well watch on Youtube would be infinitely better.

It's like I said in another thread. I'm fan of LPU 2, 4 and 6. The mix of live performances, new songs and demos is perfect for LPU. It's my opinion and you don't need to agree with me. :D

  3. My thoughts:

I didn't think a tour part 2 was coming so that's no surprise. They'll play a few random cities in 2015 like Milwaukee, Las Vegas, etc...and probably an LA show at some point since they play LA every year. No USA tour in the summer as they'll be in Europe again probably.

I don't understand the "at least one more THP song" thing. They PROMOTED this entire album as an album that was "written to be played live." But then they also said they wanted to play other Living Things songs live like Powerless and I'll Be Gone, so I guess that's just a marketing ploy. I thought they'd add in like Mark The Graves, War (which Chester said he wanted to play), etc. It'll probably be A Line In The Sand - I'll be surprised if Keys To The Kingdom comes in as well. But why can't they play these songs? Phoenix said they rehearsed almost the entire album in May 2014 (source: Rock am Ring 2014 interview).

Don't want to change the setlists? Because of time? 2007 tour ended on 11/30 and 2008 tour started on 1/16. 2014 tour ends on 11/24 and 2015 tour starts on 1/15. That's more time, and 2008 had 3 brand new setlists. But I guess they don't want to do that anymore. The excuse of "oh these B cities haven't seen the show"...sorry but that's just bullshit. As if the same fans don't travel from the A cities to these B cities to fill a majority of the venue instead of local fans. GENERALLY speaking. Orlando? The Tampa fans will be there. And all the other Florida fans. Providence? The Boston fans will be there, just like they went to Mansfield (middle of nowhere ages away from Boston), etc. It comes down to they just are set in their ways and don't want to change the setlists.

But I don't understand why. They aren't tired of opening 55 shows in a row with Guilty All The Same? They enjoy the faster tempo Crawling tease which the crowd sings most nights? And they like the Lost In The Echo 45 second version? Damn, the North American Tour would be a great tour to have 2 completely different sets...different opening songs, different flow, different encores and no more of this shortened song shit. Play Until It's Gone in full (with that epic European Tour NMS/Catalyst Intro that they dropped for some reason), play Lost In The Echo in full, drop some singles, add KTTK, ALITS and APFMH and let's jam.

Fan voted setlists would be great. I am 100% sure rarer Hybrid Theory and Meteora songs would make it into those setlists because the general public at LP shows LOVES those two albums. No More Sorrow has a great shot too, like Given Up does. Any other non-album cut? We'd have to have a grassroots LPLive effort to get something like Reading My Eyes, In Pieces, an LPU demo, etc in there because 80% of the fans going to the show won't vote for those.

Think that i don't need to express my opinion, you already said everything that I have in mind.

    PERFECT!!!!

I hope that some day they let us to vote what songs we want to see live. That's not something good only for us, I think that's also good for the band. Maybe in the future, people won't be so excited to travel thousand of miles to attend 78247189 different concerts in the same tour with the same setlist.

At this point, I'll take anythingthe band has to offer with setlist changes. I've lost hope with that lol. As long as the overall experience of the show is still A+ and memorable, I'm fine with minimal changes. If they play the SAME sets, now thats a different story.

I want to say that the fan voted setlists would be good but looking at Metallica By Request setlists I dont think theres much hope when it comes to that. People are going to vote for the songs THEY want (i.e. The singles), since the majority of every night's crowd are casual fans at best. We'fd still be seeing ITE, BID, Numb every night. I know almost every LP fan (even the casual fans) love Hybrid Theory so there's SOME hope there but I feel as if we wouldn't see too much of what we want out of that option.

You have a point. I think the best way to make it works is let the LPU members choose only 5 songs for concert. The rest of the show could be the always the same, I don't care, but I really want to attend a concert with Forgotten, By Myself, Figure.09, In Between and BLACKBIRDS (I love this song).
I want to feel the same thing that I felt when I saw them playing A Place For My Head, With You and Runaway.
  4. Updated, thanks for pointing that stuff out. Hmm, it they didn't visit South America now, that could mean they might already have plans to perform in September there, since they're strongly rumored for Rock in Rio there.

Added a section for Dates Cancelled in Negotiations in the spoiler tags.

    I'm glad I could help.
Yeah, Rock in Rio is a good possibility for Brazil but not for other South American countries.
The text of the spoiler tags is still saying that there is a chance of performances at Lollapalooza.
"There are currently two potential times in which LP will perform in South America again: March 2015 (Lollapalooza) and September 2015 (Rock in Rio 6)"
  5. The lineup of Lollapalooza Brazil:

So, LP will be not touring in South American on March, 2015, but if you go to Lollapalooza you will be able to see Steve Aoki playing A Light That Never Comes :P
Now, let's see if we can see them at Rock in Rio in the end of year.

    UPDATE:

    The lineup of Lollapalooza Chile:

Same thing here, there's no LP.

    UPDATE # 2:

    The lineup of Lollapalooza Argentina:

So, LP definitely is not coming to South America on March, 2015.

  7. Great post. I remember the 2005 Fort Minor show being canceled...oh the days of the Fort Minor message boards, haha. And the 2007 show...the recording has an amazing TLTGYA version (PushingMe source). That's the most recommended recording that I have of the 2007 European Tour.

2010....APFMH. Damn. I'll never forget fans coming back for the REST OF THE TOUR and saying they asked at the M&G for APFMH and the band said no, ha. I wish they'd incorporate it into the setlist now. What a badass video of it in Paris in 2010.

Arras 2011 - very cool venue too.

Yeah! This performance of A Place For My Head is unique. We were expecting this for so long. Only the 10th anniversary of Hybrid Theory to make the band play the song during the ATS Tour cycle.

  8. If it's something like Soul said, it's too far away from an official announcement by the band, We don't know if LP is gonna accept all this rules. (I think they are prohibited to sing any "bad words" or display an American flag on the stage, right?).

But it's like he said, this means that we will really have a tour in Australia and Asian in May/April.

  9. Updated.

All we need is updates on the India planning (so, is it cancelled in negotiations at this point or still being worked out?) and details about Lolla + RiR Rio/Brazil Tour + South Africa.

It's like a said in another thread: the same journalist who confirmed the last two Linkin Park tours in Brazil and the date of the concert at Rock in Rio Las Vegas, said yesterday that two bands which played in Brazilian festivals in 2014 are in negotiation with Lollapalooza Brazil. Probably LP is one of them. We can almost say it for sure because we have this note from Folha de São Paulo, the most important newspaper in Brazil.
About Rock in Rio, until now we just have the information from Multishow.
UPDATE: It looks like the line-up of Lollapalooza Chile has leaked. No LP!
We still have to wait their official announcement next week and see if it's true. Maybe LP will be playing just in Argentina and Brazil? Or the tour was cancelled?
