Linkin Park Song Election - From Zero

IGYEIH This song needs to be added to the setlist as soon as possible. Based on the numbers, one of the most underrated songs of the album. Probably the song with the most Dead Sara vibes. Emily's vocal range and performance on it is amazing. She's gonna kill it live. -

Overflow Not a fan of the first verse. Mike's part on it sounds cringe to me. The same problem I have with the bridge on Cut The Bridge. They really should've cut the bridge on that song. -
Most people compare Emily and Alex to like some of the best performances of Brad and Chester. They had off-days as well. We as hardcore fans have seen a lot of it, but most casual fans have only watched like top LP performances from their prime days. No one can compete with prime Chester.

Casualty I like Stained a little bit more only because it makes me nostalgic for late 2000s, early 2010s pop songs. -
Linkin Park Song Election - From Zero

Over Each Other It grows on you the more you listen to it, but still a meh song. It's a pretty alright song. Live version is way better than the studio version, I guess that's the case with LP songs co-written by Jon Green. Not a bad song at all, but can't put it above any of the remaining tracks. -

Cut The Bridge Possibly Emily's weakest performance on the record, in my opinion. Mike's singing in the bridge gets progressively more cringe. The similarity to Bleed It Out is very obvious but the drums really remind me of Talking To Myself, and I don't like the drums on Talking To Myself. -
Linkin Park Song Election - From Zero

From Zero (Intro) Definitely the worst track on the album and one of the worst in LP's discography. No guitars, no drums, no rapping, no screaming, no cowbells, nothing. And they put someone's random voice clip on it, and even that is incomplete. Disaster of a song. Also, zero creativity on the title. Just "Intro"? In parenthesis? Really? Man, this band have sold out so hard. Been a Linking Park fan since 1994 and their last good album was Hybrid Theory EP. -
They have two of the most popular bands on the scene for support acts, Spiritbox and Architects, on some of the shows, which are both insanely good live. Might give LP a run for their money. I wish we could get a LP/BMTH tour at some point. It would be absolutely insane.

Beautiful performance. When they first debuted the setlist, I was a little bit against My December on it and wanted the acoustic version of Final Masquerade instead. But now after watching the shows, I hope it stays on the set for the rest of the touring cycle.

I'm not sure if such thread or post exists, but it would be great if we could have a list of all these little easter eggs in the album at one place.

How much do big festivals usually pay the headliners?

Wow, that's such a great observation. I didn't think of it that way when I was putting the list together. I guess I must be really into openers and closers. My mindset was to pick songs that get me going every time I play them. Like they get me excited and want to do something, go somewhere, or just dance to them (honorable mention: Points Of Authority). Well, except for TLTGYA which always gets me relaxed.

A futile existence: Let's talk about "Heavy"
NimaLP replied to bloodbath's topic in Everything Linkin Park
To me, it's not a bad song at all, it's just way below the standard I have for a Linkin Park song, not for a song in general. With Chester's passing, everything surrounding OML got very sad and dark. I see a lot of fans don't wanna revisit that time by listening to those songs. The same thing seems to be apparent with the band as well, since they're not playing anything from that album (Friendly Fire doesn't really count). The negativity that the fan response to Heavy brought to the mix fuels that sadness even more. All the arguments online, some people saying the song is shit and some other people trying to defend its creative direction. I understand the band wanted to reach a wider audience with Heavy and the album in general, but in doing so, a lot of people who were already their fans lost faith in their music. Every album since MTM had fans feeling "betrayed" in a way, but OML was just in another level. You could barely defend it as a fan. Let's just be real here, OML is LP's weakest album. I've been seeing a lot of rankings on the FZ discussion thread. Don't get me wrong, it's a very good album on its own, but in comparison, not that good. Now nearly 8 years later, nobody seems to care about Heavy anymore. I don't even know where Kiiara is and what she's doing anymore. It was a generic pop song, well guess what, you hear those almost everyday. There are way better pop songs coming out all the time. There are people who have already forgotten that song exists, and there are people including me who don't wanna revisit that era of Linkin Park because of everything that happened. -
$500 is insane! Sad for the fans that were planning to see them. What's up with these Las Vegas festivals? I always see a lot of controversies surrounding them online. First the When We Were Young one (I don't remember what it actually was, but I remember there were a lot of unhappy talks about it online) and now the cancellation of Sick New World. Also if I'm not mistaken, this was gonna be LP's only show in Vegas next year, right? Do you guys think they would add a show to the tour (perhaps for summer) to make up for this one?

Not only Alex is a different guitar player than Brad, they changed keys to a lot of older songs to fit Emily's voice. So basically, the whole vibe of the sounds could change. I'm no guitar expert, but I feel like Alex plays maybe too clean. Brad played songs a bit more dirty and rough (which I really loved). At least that's how it sounds to me. For example Brad does the intro to No More Sorrow a bit different than the studio version. Sounds more dirty and fun than just simple notes. But anyway, two different guitar players. We've heard one play songs in a certain way for years. We'll get used to this new sound as well. Different doesn't mean worse. However, I also think in most cases Alex is an improvement over Brad. I love his solos on Leave Out All The Rest. He's really good. They've done only like 12, 13 shows this year, right? There's still room for improvement. Not just for Alex, but also Emily and Colin. Especially since they're performing for such big crowds for the first time in their lives. If Brad and the rest of the band have trusted Alex with the task, I do too.

I love the consistency of the LPTV releases. A really good episode. Can't wait for some studio BTS episodes. Hopefully we'll get some soon enough since the band ain't touring as much for a while.

Since it's not available to listen to for some people including me, it'd be great if someone posts the interesting quotes from this.

From Zero song ranking: 1. The Emptiness Machine 2. Good Things Go 3. Heavy Is The Crown 4. Two Faced 5. IGYEIH 6. Stained 7. Casualty 8. Overflow 9. Over Each Other 10. Cut The Bridge

Everyone's posting their rankings so here's mine: 1. Hybrid Theory 2. Meteora 3. The Hunting Party 4. A Thousand Suns 5. From Zero 6. Minutes To Midnight 7. Living Things 8. One More Light The only thing that put MTM below FZ for me is tracks like HHH, VD, and IB. The second half of that album is a struggle sometimes. TLTGYA is one of my favorite LP tracks ever, however.

Am I wrong or they did wear the same clothes as night 1? So a possibility of the mixture of two shows for theatrical release? If so, I'm all for it. They can cover tiny messes of night 1 with night 2 footage or audio.
