  1. Alright...enough of the flaming/insulting/fighting/etc. Let's get back on topic and stay on topic...if you have an opinion on the MK DVD, then post it. Love it, hate it, etc. But voice that and move on. If you have nothing to say, then let others voice their opinion...if some are excited, great...if some aren't, then not. We all need to remember that we are not always going to agree on everything and there is no need to be rude over such. You can't win everyone over. There is no need for name calling, insulting remarks, or anything of that nature, so cut it out. Any further attacks against the site, the staff, each other or anything else, will result in a warning or ban. Let's all be mature and discuss the topic at hand.
  2. But that's the problem, on the back cover, all the names are written in Capital Linkin Park font. Go to iTunes Store...type in Reanimation and there you go...Hope this helps!
  3. Straight from http://www.linkinpark.com - "Los Angeles, CA (October 6, 2008) - Linkin Park has been forced to cancel tonight's concert at the The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel, as lead vocalist Chester Bennington has sustained a back injury and is under doctor's orders to rest. Linkin Park sincerely regrets this unavoidable cancellation and apologizes to fans for any disappointment caused." Further comment from Mike's Blog: "FROM MIKE: We're bummed...Chester hurt his back, and is in quite a bit of pain. Please think good thoughts for our friend." At this time, it is unknown if LP will make up this show or any other details concerning Chester's injury. As soon as more information is made available, we will pass that along. -Thanks alexlp for the heads up on this.
  4. That is a long story involving some drama and legal issues back in August...let's just leave it at that...no sense in beating a dead horse, so let's move on... Just know that 4.0 is going to be nothing short of awesome. The staff are hard at work planning the details for it and working toward getting the site up by the first of the year...so stay tuned!
  5. I have not found a way to organized or to disable this thing. I seems to be organized by permissions which should stay as they are. We discussed that already and decided to leave it like this lol, unless there is a way to disable it. I try to fix some of the other stuff later on. You know...I got to thinking about that after the fact, that there probably wasn't a way to really do some changing there. So, no big then...the list was just a result of reading through the site yesterday and just seeing some corrections needed and the rest suggestions...so thanks!
  6. Corrections/Things to Consider/Suggestions: Site info/About the Live Guide page: - Check consistency between home page and forum pages in regards to staff and perhaps even contributors - Misspelled mislabeled in the "Why in the world" paragraph - Improvements paragraph needs to be updated (If you just read it, you'll see what I mean) 2007 page: - Show summary is showing up a strange symbol 9 lines down in the word Japan (perhaps this is my computer, perhaps a coding deal, just don't know - worth a look) Site Content Page: - May want to look it over and revise Links Page: - SparkArt on there twice - Add MFR : ) FM, DBS, CB and Julien K pages: - Consider writing a tour summary paragraph perhaps...just a thought to maintain consistency Julien-K page: - The new, full right side bar is missing Forums: - Should probably update "The Team" page/thread according to the new groups as of yesterday
  7. Well, to get technical...an encore by definition is a reappearance by applause...so with that said, I'd say if the entire band leaves and comes back, that is an encore...a short break with members still on stage is not...
  8. I hadn't put a lot of thought into it either, however, I will probably do a listening party or something similar...it's interesting...I remember going to a Halloween Party on what was HT's 1st Birthday and it was all that was played at the party...fun memories, lol...
  9. AID IS STILL NEEDED FOR HURRICANE RECOVERY September 29, 2008 Thank you to the MFR supporters who have already made donations to help people in the Gulf Coast and Haiti as they recover from Hurricanes Ike, Gustav and other Atlantic storms. Your donations thus far have helped Direct Relief International send emergency medical and aid and basic personal care products for those living in shelters. If you've already donated to MFR for hurricane recovery in the Caribbean and the Gulf Coast please help spread the word that AID IS STILL NEEDED. In Haiti, nearly a month after the most severe flooding, hundreds of thousands of people are homeless and in dire need of food and shelter, while millions of cubic yards of mud still needs to be cleared before rebuilding can take place. In Texas and Louisiana, recovery and rebuilding of the affected area will take months. Please visit musicforrelief.org to donate. Source: www.musicforrelief.org
  10. I agree in that I think this is taking dedication to a whole new, unhealthy extreme. I don't know that I could ever allow myself to do something like this. But more power and well wishes to those who are brave enough to do this.
  11. I'm surprised they are allowing the whole Milton Keynes show to be webcasted. Good point...So am I actually...as tight a grip as they keep on everything else, I am shocked that they have decided to just let it go on like it is.
  12. Often? Come to other countries. They've played 7 shows in Germany this year and it's unfair imho. They should come to Poland, Lithuania often Ukraine and Slovakia too - they never played there. Don't you think so? I agree...some countries are very fortunate to get multiple LP shows while others do not...I don't think this is too much to ask at all...
  13. Very cool guys! Awesome job!!
  14. How freaking sweet would that be! Doubt it will ever happen, but it would be the best show ever!!! I'd make the trip for all three; That's for sure!
  15. *UPDATE* Hey all LP Live-ers and MFR supporters! So we all have heard about the horrible disasters recently, especially impacting the Gulf – including the U.S. states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida as well as the gulf countries of Cuba and Haiti. But the reality of natural disasters stretches much farther than these just most recently affected and in the news. In 2008 alone, there have been 73 natural disasters worldwide (Source: ReliefWeb). So with that said, there has never been a better time to give and help out. And here’s how: - Donate to Music For Relief – visit musicforrelief.org and donate to the cause of your choice. - Purchase a MFR t-shirt, bandana, etc. in which proceeds go to the MFR cause. OR if you are short on cash, there is a NEW CAMPAIGN out in which you can get involved if making a donation is out of the question. MFR has begun a campaign with Planet Green to collect and recycle used printer cartridges and cell phones to recycle and raise money for disaster relief. For every box (a box must contain at least 20 cell phones or cartridges) that MFR is sent and forwarded to Planet Green, they receive a donation for disaster relief. I am organizing a group together to take part in this campaign where I live as part of the MFRST, but I'm thinking, why stop there - the bigger, the better, right? So, I put this out to the LP Live community and ask that you consider helping out with this project. Let's see how big we can make this. If you think you might be interested in helping out, either reply to this thread or send me a pm. Together, we all can make a difference for those affected by natural disasters worldwide. *END UPDATE* Support Music For Relief? Want to Get Involved? You've come to the right thread! This new thread will be your LP Live MFR headquarters for all information concerning how to get involved with Music For Relief. Below you will find information on how to get involved and will have continuous updates as they come. If you have any questions concerning how to volunteer or anything here, then ask them here and we'll find the answers. There are lots of ways you can get involved. Some of these include: - Join the mailing list at http://www.musicforrelief.org. You'll get occasional emails that will keep you up to date on MFR. - Join the MFR Street Team and promote MFR and its efforts. - Donate directly to Music For Relief to fund ongoing relief efforts throughout the world. - Volunteering at the MFR Booth in Linkin Park tours (where available). This is announced well in advance and it gets you in the doors free! What's better than a free Linkin Park concert?! And this is just a few of the many...to learn more, visit http://www.musicforrelief.org And if you have any other ideas or questions, again post them here.
  16. Honestly, I agree with a lot that has been said here. Ya'll took the words right out of my mouth... However, I'll add and say that I think my expectations for the new album/tour/etc. are as simple as this: Can we just get back to keeping promises? For example: 1. If the DSPs are supposed to be out in 15 days, let's get them out in 15 days. We all know full well that Pooch and crew do their jobs, how hard is it to do your job, Basecamp? 2. If you say you are going to release things, then let's do it. An example: the missing MFR footage from the second season (I guess it would be called a season) of LPTV. If it doesn't fit in a specific episode, then do a special release for it or something/anything. These are just two examples, I'm sure that there are many other examples of such. This is all I would like to see really. Oh and to be rid of Warner...that would be nice, too.
  17. ^ Funny, lol...funny... Agreed...You know, the harsh reality of record companies is astounding. I found an article yesterday that absolutely blew me away...if you all get a chance, everyone should read it. Find that here: http://www.negativland.com/albini.html And to go along with the "control freaks" comment, I absolutely am surprised this blog post hasn't "disappeared" already. Why? Because I really think this is Mike's way of coming out and making a statement against Warner, in subliminal way, and of course Warner doesn't want that. And honestly, in my personal opinion, I think that its a potential indication of something brewing...now I could be way off base and nothing may happen in the future, but this all seems fishy to me. There still hasn't been the release of the Styles Of Beyond album and it's been finished for a good while now. Then the news that the DBS album will now be on Warner and possibly even renamed. I absolutely see this is as marketing ploy rather than anything else. All about the money and sticking with what keeps the maximum cash flowing (again, see the article link above, you can see what I mean). But anyways, then you get this post on the heels of all the rest of these events...it seems to me Mike is over it and if he could go back in time, I do not think LP would have made the decision to stay with them in 2005 or even have signed with them to begin with. Now, only time will tell if something comes out of all this or if this is even a problem brewing. Maybe it's just me...and who knows, it may turn out to be absolutely nothing.
  18. They were supposed to be released September 20-ish. Since that has passed, I imagine them coming any day now...but then again...who knows... And now, let's get back on topic!
  19. You would be correct. When the settlement was reached back in 2005, it stated "The pact provides the company's Warner Brothers Records unit with an option for up to five more albums from the band, one more than had been called for in their original deal." Source: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/12/28/arts/mus...and&emc=rss
  20. Got an idea for MFR? A project, event, etc.? Is there something you'd like to see happen? We want to hear those thoughts. Discuss and post your thoughts here about what you'd like to see in the future of MFR.
  21. This was who all was slated to open for Linkin Park during the summer European Dates as it was reported by http://www.linkinpark.com. For that reason, this may not include any cancellations, but I'm pretty sure I got all this correct otherwise. 2008 Summer European Headline Tour 6.10.08 Vilnius, Lithuania - The Blackout 6.11.08 Riga, Latvia - The Blackout 6.17.08 Brno, CZ - Enter Shikari 6.18.08 Graz, Austria - Enter Shikari 6.22.08 Dublin, Ireland - Queens of the Stone Age and Coheed and Cambria 6.24.08 Mannheim, Germany - Enter Shikari 6.25.08 Athens, Greece - The Blackout 2008 European Projekt Revolution 6.21.08 Munich, Germany - H.I.M., N.E.R.D., The Used, The Blackout 6.27.08 Berlin, Germany - H.I.M., N.E.R.D. 6.28.08 Dusseldorf, Germany - H.I.M., N.E.R.D., The Used, The Bravery, Inner Party System 6.29.08 Milton Keynes - Jay-Z, Pendulum, N.E.R.D., Enter Shikari, The Bravery, Inner Party System
  22. Nashville 2.26.2008 Show Notes Corrected should read Show Notes: - 'In Stereo' was over 'Points Of Authority'. 'There They Go' was over the outro. - The house speakers went out during the 'Points Of Authority' outro when Mike started his 'There They Go' verse. Fans could tell he was trying to rap and could faintly hear the drums, but they couldn't hear anything else. Mike apologized, and called for Jason to make sure that the fans wouldn't be "cheated of any more music" and all that. - Chester lost his breath or what have you in the middle of Valentine's Day (probably where he was sick)...his voice trailed off, he paused, spit, and said "Sorry, let me catch up". Then continued the song. - Mike's little sneaky self was nowhere to be seen at the start of the 2nd encore, but appeared in the pit about 50 ft from the stage right before 'A Place For My Head' started. When it was pitch black, he walked down the left side and shook everyone's hands, then appeared under the spotlight. The pit was really rowdy during the song, and after it finished, Mike pulled out a can of silly string and sprayed the pit with it. Awesome! - The setlist for this show called for 'Breaking The Habit' to have the extended outro. However, the outro was missing more than likely because Chester was sick.
  23. I think its going to be another change...I'm definitely trying not to do too much guessing about it or expecting of it simply cause one...I don't know what to expect...and two...well, I think I'd rather be surprised, lol...I guess time will tell...
  24. Being an activist, I know a good many of petitions that have worked. You never know until you try. And when you pay any kind of money for something, you have a right to voice your opinion when the opportunity presents itself and is not retarded. If people see something out there that they are unhappy with, then it's their right to voice that. If you don't support the petition, then you don't have to sign it, but you don't have to knock those who do. Also, nowhere in the petition is the word "demand" or demanding anything from the band, it is merely making suggestions for other options and requesting that the parties involved at least listen to such requests. P.S. I am not trying to start a fight, but just trying to make a point for those who support this cause.
  25. Great to see LP Live Forums again! Definitely cannot wait for 4.0!! You know I will help in any way I can in preparing for that. Everyone who has kept all this going, thanks and keep up the good work!!!
