The phrase "panic attack" being in there led me to think part of this came from Petrified, as it's the only time Mike's used that phrase in a song. There are two problems with this though:

    1. There isn't a Petrified acapella in circulation.

    2. The rhythm of the phrase "panic attack" is different than it is on Petrified (the first syllable of "panic" is held longer on Petrified).

This still doesn't sound like anything real to me, but I'm convinced that it's Mike's voice at least, and I'm honestly stumped as to where it would have come from.

I just found the acapella, 'cause I had the same idea and it would fit but what bothers me the most is, that the vocals on this snippet are treated differently
I found the panic attack pronunciation fitting, even the notes fit but it seems that there is some voice editing like autotune or similar, making him sound older (no pitch correction just voice editing)
I think it is Petrified chopped up, treated, so it sounds more like 2014 Mike and put on an instrumental track - none of these steps are difficult to do, by the way

No. Brad's phrasing on the main It's Goin' Down riff when LP plays it live is totally different from how it appears on the studio version. I've always assumed Mike did the guitars (part of the main guitar riff is actually sampled from Crawling as well).

but Brad played on Crawling right? so technically he's part of IGD

About the Lockout rehearsal tape, we could do a crowdfunding to buy it. We can totally get 1000 people to plead some money.

    Question:
The reanimation vocals were new takes or they used the HT ones?

About Lockout: I won't take part in a crowd funding - I just think that Ostrick guy isn't worth getting 50k or even more just because he thinks he's some kind of a VIP

The reanimation vocals were partly rerecorded and some are the original.
e.g. 1 stp klsr isn't rerecorded at all, while p5hng my a*wy has the chorus rerecorded but not the verses, I can make a list if you want. pts of authority e.g. wasn't rerecorded as well iirc

It's not like they couldn't have re-titled it only to scrap it again... other demos changed their names frequently as well. I mean the band themselves changed names even, lol.

by that logic (which makes some kind of sense to me actually) it would most likely be Crawling, 'cause it is not mentioned anywhere else
for those saying "but there are no harmonics played in this song" - yes there aren't, BUT it is the only song besides PMA on the album that has a second guitar playing a "harmony" in the music theory sense over the power chords
this is just a conspiracy but I could stick with it

  5. Remember people saying "I think with this anniversary box we should have like every recording there is from the 1996-2002 era"?
Well we were wrong. Sooo wrong. First came Mike "oh you guys like the stuff we've just released? well here is some info about a song you didn't know about, we won't release it either."
Then this - I don't know if this makes 2020 even better or just worse

I did not get it yet. Even though people say German replacements arrived

It has arrived. The lithograph looks fine I guess but it's got kinks that make it look disgusting. Can't showcase it

How can you tell the difference between from the version of And One from the Hybrid Theory EP & the version of And One from the 9, 8, & 7 track demos? I've listened to both versions. I can't really tell a difference between them.

Also left and right channels are switched

    how do cover rights work?

there's this awful album "hybrid theory: an encore", very amateur.

Every band that makes a cover has to ask permission for the label? Do they have to pay royalties or anything like that?

Sometimes a very tiny band makes a cover of a really big band, and i ask myself how they managed to contact the band/label and get approved to cover the song.

If you monetize your cover you've got to clear the rights first

But covering a song without getting anything from it, usually doesn't bring anything to the table.

At least as long as it's not big enough to get Warner's attention. But legally I think you may cover whatever you want
