  1. Looks and sounds great to me, and would love an official release. I’m hoping that when the FZ cycle ends there will be an official live album to tide fans over.
  2. So glad I went to both nights! I guess I’ll keep chasing “Over Each Other”, BUT incredible to get more FZ songs (IGYEIH! Stained! Let You Fade!), along with the Emily debut on LGM. My favorite moment was watching Lynn from PVRIS get to sing “Burn It Down.” How many times do you get to be there to watch someone’s dreams come true?! The past couple shows in Boston were very healing. It felt like losing a giant part of me back in 2017 that I didn’t ever think could come back. The weight is lifted now, and it felt so good to see Mike smiling in Boston.
  3. Amazing show for night 1! Hoping to get “Over Each Other” & “IGYEIH” for night 2! I have seen clips here and there, but I was blown away by how great Emily is at this point. Colin and Alex, too. Em especially seems to be more comfortable and bringing the energy!
  4. I’ve dreaded this show for months, and this moment for years, since Chester passed. I was at the February 2011 show at the same venue, and had no idea that when Chester said “Goodnight Boston”, it would be the last time I’d ever see him perform. I have pit tickets for both nights in Boston, and am taking my 17 year old, who fell in love with LP thanks to “One More Light” when it was released, quickly changing my opinion on the album. We were supposed to go to the OML Tour in Mansfield, MA, but Chester passed one week before the show. Grateful to have seen Chester 4 times with LP. Grateful to have been part of LPlive since the beginning. Grateful I got to meet fellow fans in Boston to Celebrate Chester in 2017. And grateful I can hopefully not cry the entire night, singing loud enough for Chester to hear us. Fingers crossed for “Given Up”, as that’s my Son’s favorite song. I want to hear all the “From Zero” tracks, as those don’t have the emotional weight of the Chester songs.
  5. What do you think is the strongest of the new songs live? After hearing the Deluxe Edition live version of “Casualty”, and the new YouTube pro shot from Austin, this song is a monster!
  6. I hope they throw the live tracks on LP.com similar to how they sold the digital copy of “From Zero” for $5 when that dropped.
  7. Hopefully it grows on me but after a few initial listens, Let You Fade is by far my least favorite song on “From Zero.” Not a bad track, but definitely feel the “generic” vibes others bravely mentioned. great to see the fanbase as a whole loving it and excited though. Always a good thing to have more songs!
  8. I wish they banned phones at shows. As great as it is to get to watch the entire tour on YouTube, moments like Emily going into the crowd are diluted by a sea of screens. I get it, but would rather see everyone jumping around and living in the moment instead. Incredible that the entire FZ album has been played now though! yours truly, 43 year old fossil missing the old days haha
  9. 6 is quite generous and fine with me! That’s why I’m going to both nights in Boston this Summer, hoping to hear as many “From Zero” tracks as possible.
  10. Thank you for the summary! I’m old and don’t understand discord haha. So, so happy that Mike gave love to the new songs. Seems like almost every band I know sticks to the hits and the staples, and only tosses in a couple new tracks when you go to the show. I’d love to see the entire FROM ZERO album - even in spread across 2 nights in the markets where they play back to back - because why not? It’s only 30 minutes of a 2 hour show.
  11. RIP Nick. What a huge loss. As someone who has been here since the beginning, I remember things like “She Couldn’t” being released, the MFR show, and so much more that Nick was tied to, on top of just being familiar with his username on the forums. Thank you to everyone who shared stories about Nick‘s impact on the LP community, and for making this post, too. Sending my best to his family and friends.
  12. Such a tease, and sounds even better live! I hope they release the full video. I’d love pro shots of every song on the album. LP are always better in stage versus in studio, at least in my opinion!
  13. I guess I screwed myself over by sharing my presale code on the last on sale. Now my code has been used for night 2 in Boston. Oh well. Live and learn and save a ton of money this way?
  14. I was bummed to see Chester not mentioned in the album notes, and talked about during the shows. It doesn’t need to be a big thing. Just a quick “Hey sing this one for Chester” before “Crawling” or “In the End.” Similar to how Sublime with Rome spent the past decade giving Bradley Nowell a shout out before they play “What I Got”
  15. Loved this and always hoping for more! It’s been amazing to be with LPL since the start and experience this incredible journey
  16. Just scored pit tickets to Boston, and it was $192 after fees. The last time I saw LP, it was at the same venue, February 2011 on the ATS world tour. For me, price doesn’t matter. This is my way to finally say thank you and goodbye to Chester.
  17. Pretty emotional over this. LP are playing at TD Garden in Boston, the last place I saw them play with Chester back in 2011. Definitely starting over “From Zero”! But terrified of what the prices will be like. I wish we could know that info in advance!
  18. Pretty emotional over this. LP are playing at TD Garden in Boston, the last place I saw them play with Chester back in 2011. Definitely starting over “From Zero”!
  19. So I logged into LpU and it says I have passport plus “legacy” account, with a renewal date of December 31, 1969. does anyone else see a similar thing? I don’t recall paying anything, though I was an LPU member for the first ten years or so. i don’t want to miss the presale for the 2025 tour!
  20. Very emotional and anxious about this event and can’t wait for it to be over. Not sure if I’ll be supporting the band moving forward though. Linkin Park have played a major role in my life since 2001. My favorite band of all time, and Chester is my hero. It was an honor to meet him in 2003, go to a handful of LP shows, be in the LPU, work with the Street Team, and be part of the LPlive community. If the smoke clears after today’s event and “Linkin Park” are releasing new music, tour dates, or have a new member, I’m out. To me, Chester IS Linkin Park. The heart, the soul, the voice. I don’t care who created the band, who wrote the music, and who is still here to move forward. Chester is gone. And “Linkin Park” should be, too. My other favorite band, Sublime, just spent almost 15 years with a new singer, making music and touring as “Sublime with Rome.” It was upsetting to hear people say “Hey I’m going to see Sublime tonight!” No, you’re not. Bradley Nowell isn’t playing guitar and singing on stage. He can’t. I know Chester supported Sublime with Rome, and he himself “replaced” Scott Weiland, touring and making new music as “Stone Temple Pilots”, so there’s certainly a valid argument of “Chester would have wanted this” or “it’s a tribute to him” and “continues the legacy.” I hope that if new music comes out, it involves Chester outtakes. If they tour, they play his vocals over the PA, or have the crowd + band do his parts. That’s the most I can hope for. I’m happy others are excited and wish the surviving members the best of luck, but this potentially crosses a line for me personally and is too upsetting to be part of.
  21. I’d pay retail price just for the acoustic performances. Hoping I can grab a copy of this on Record Store Day, and that it’s on streaming services too!
  22. I like “Friendly Fire”, but as is the case with most LP studio tracks, I HATE the effects on Chester’s voice. It sounds more like AI than Chester himself. Thankful we get to hear unreleased music, though, and finally have QWERTY on streaming services. I hope the band never stop releasing material, especially if they want to open their live recording vault, which we know has hundreds of shows in it
  23. My "Meteora 20" wishlist had a DVD of the $2 Bill Detroit show (in full), or a full show from the US LPU Tour, but no complaints from me after seeing the contents! My favorite part has to be the Nottingham show. I was in my second year of college and stayed up all night to listen to the Webcast. I still remember hearing "Lying From You" for the first time, and playing the recording for my friend on our drive to see LP for the first time in Worcester, MA a week later on the LPU Tour. Can't wait to listen to a better quality recording of the FULL show!!!
  24. Not a fan of Chester's singing style during the, ahem, Grey Daze, but a cool project for fans that reminds me of those homemade acoustic/piano remixes of LP songs on YouTube.
  25. Just read the book over the last couple days, and loved every second of it. LP's interviews, like their music, always seem so rehearsed and overproduced. Not that this is a negative thing, but it leaves a lot of stones unturned. It was fascinating reading Jeff's recount of meeting Brad, discovering Xero, and hearing songs like "Blue" or "Rhinestone" for the first time. I was surprised by some of the details - like how long it took LP to offer Chester the lead singer role - and just flat out smiling ear to ear at other parts, like David Kahne going from hating the band to wanting to personally mix "Plaster." Great read, and I wish there was more to it, or a documentary made from it, with Jeff's archive of tapes, flyers, etc. Would also love to hear the band respond to it, but I assume they'll just dismiss everything or say they don't remember. Still doesn't make any sense to me why they had a falling out with Jeff, despite the details he gives in the book. I can see LP wanting to be in control of their career, and hurt/insulted over the "Replace Mike with Mad Lion" stuff, but I'd think they would trust Jeff and realize what he put on the line for them enough to be amicable.
