Sorry I didn’t mean to make it about MTM. I thought about that after I posted. But I felt like it would be a good discussion and would be good to have a thread of info on it for the future when we start looking at 2027. Maybe the mods can move it to a new thread of it’s own? I don’t mean to not talk about the epic Meteora 20 DVD’s because they’re amazing and I’m super grateful the band did them. I could talk about them for days. I’m still digesting all the content we got. Gonna be watching them as I fall asleep on my TV for months. Nottingham 2003 is also amazing, I keep playing it.

All good. You weren't the only one and we don't need to be too strict on here. Glad you enjoy M20 as much and that you seem to have a more positive attitude, G-man ;)

  2. Lost: Amazing, super strong and having both mixes is great. I got used to the new one but the old one does have its merits.

Fighting Myself: Great song, love the bridge/ending part.

More The Victim: My personal star of this release. Holy cow what a strong hook. Awesome!

Massive: The surprise of the release. Can totally see the Deftones vibe and don't really miss Chester in this one because Mike works great here (as he did during the "My Own Summer" cover - maybe that's what inspired this vocal performance here?)

Healing Foot: Fully vocalized holy grail, I mean, what more can I say? The bridge gives me goosebumps, overall very nice, not the strongest chorus but I don't want to complain about that.

As for all the "real" demos: I don't think I will listen to those much. Don't feel the desire to do so a second time. It's incredible to have them for their evolution but aside from interesting bits here and there I do not see much appeal to them.

The only small "disappointments" I can see so far is a lack of Chester demo vocals on the second half, which can have a lot of reasons. Still, I personally believe there are a lot more demo vocals for at a couple of those demos. We got some stuff over the years and knowing that for example "Fighting Myself" wasn't even worked on in the studio but we have a full vocal take on that gets me thinking.

Anyway: "A6" was my highest bet on being a completed version, too but seeing as it is probably one of the earliest incarnations of this song I can't feel mad about it. Maybe someday we'll get a full version (btw the <1 min "A.06" get's me pumped beyond believe, the bass is fucking amazing!).

So, yeah, a new "Meteora" EP was well worth the wait and I'm looking forward to the DVDs. Thank you, Linkin Park :)

This is not the legit "Plaster II"/ "Plaster 2". This is a mix of the LPU 9 demo and Mike's verse vocals from the final version of "Figure.09" off Meteora. I'm not gonna lie, though. It really had me thinking it was the real legit "Plaster II"/" Plaster 2", lol.

Plot twist: They had to use the demo verses for the album because Chester was too sick/sore to finish them in NY. But it would be weird to basically have the same demo twice (just with Mike's vocals added on one).

Again, never said the modern mix was bad. Meteora has an iconic sound and changing it for a more modern touch is a little unfamiliar. New mix is still good but the original mix is going to be better for the sake of authenticity

Yeah, I feel the same on that one. I'm just curious on how different it will sound. The chorus seems perfect for that big Meteora sound.

I am happy to have these songs now that Chester is gone, it's something new/old from an era we love. My comment about these demos being possibly included on the album was to point out the quality of the tracks, I love M as it is too ;)

TBF, one more song wouldn't have hurt the album. Both HT and M are pretty short, so adding one more "firecracker" to it wouldn't have been the worst thing.

I really think Fighting Myself with a little more polish should have replaced Hit The Floor on the final release.

Just to reiterate what I posted in the shoutbox some time ago: If "Hit The Floor" would've been released now it would get an overwhelming reaction because of Chester's screams in the chorus alone. Let's just wait until the novelty has worn off. You are comparing a "fresh" song with one we heard hundreds of times during the last 20 years.

YES haha - those...uh... were the.... uh.... main audio events I had to work around hahaha

As Chester said in the backstage audio I posted, the place was "fire marshall full" which estimated 2.5k in a 2k venue. I was in the best spot I could possibly get at the time and we were sandwiched the fuck in there hahaha, and unfortunately I couldn't move away from her or the other vocal people on there. But whatever it's a show, right? :)

Haha, no sweat! Wasn't a dig against you or anything. It just dawned on me how annoying this was. After "Crawling" got released, there were more and more teenage girls who would scream for Chester and Mike and complain if you did rock show stuff (like pogo or stuff).
Your show is fire, though :)

I’ve got Major news about the songs:

The rob drum track is “Healing Foot”

“Resolution” is likely to be the demo version of “Lost”.

I don’t know what “Wesside” and “Massive” are but will probably be brand new demos to us or possibly more complete versions of familiar demos.. Exciting stuff!!

Also, the special QR code could very likely be or include the original 2002 mix of Lost we’re getting also on the deluxe CD. Maybe it’ll be added at some point on streaming services too. That’d be really awesome.

That is what you wrote. You didn't give any source at all, not even your own ears. You just put it out there without any info on how you found out about it.

Yea, just trust me guys 😉😉😉

    It’s Healing Foot.

I got good ears so I was able to make the connections between it and another familar demo we know.

This was your answer to how you know that. You give a little bit of an explanation here but can't be bothered to mention what demo you are refering to. Again, nothing that verifies what you claimed initially and therefore it seemed like it was nothing more than baseless speculation which we had too much of during the last weeks.

And yet you still can't seem to understand why people reacted the way they did? Come on, man, just be a LITTLE self critical about the way you communicated your find. I think we all agree that you found out something really intriguing but don't act like everyone shitted on your claim for NO reason because as I pointed out, it took you 3(!) posts to finally explain everything. That's your fault alone.

With that being said, I never would have imagined that these two songs might be connected. It's still a bit crazy to me.

Thank you. It’s nice when people listen, and check my sources i give rather than just saying “you don’t know that for sure.”

To be fair, you just put out a claim initially without any explanation on how you came to the conclusion. It's something we have seen around here for the last couple of weeks and you had to expect that people don't just follow your claim. If you would've provided your reasoning earlier people would've been much more positive towards you. So please don't spin this as "us" being skeptical because "we" had every reason to be so.

  10. "The super deluxe version of the “Meteora” reissue, due April 7, features “Work in Progress,” a collection of edited tour footage shot by the band’s in-house videographer, Mark Fiore, who captured what Shinoda called “weird, fly-on-the-wall stuff.”

Hmm, sounds more like the LPTV stuff that got released after the album. Kind of bummed but let's hope for a lot of new footage.

Are you saying it's going to have all 8 LPTV episodes from the Meteora tour? and then additional content on top of it?

Mike mentioned on... TikTok(?) that it is supposed to be 90 minutes and mostly consists of unseen footage. But since his 90 minutes don't add up and I wouldn't trust him 100% to know all the video stuff out there let's see. I remain optimistic because of Frat Party 2. I mean, that came out of nowhere and they have a lot more footage for Meteora.

  12. Like mentioned at the leaked Warner store page: a very VERY good performance by Chester. The second verse is amazing. Lyrics are dark especially now. I wish it would have gotten the Meteora mixing treatment but overall it's AWESOME to have a brand fucking new song with a fresh vocal performance. Great stuff!

  13. It's so so funny to see grown ass people melt down because of this. I literally feel like it's 2003 again :D. It's a mystery to me how some of you can feel so butthurt by this. It's not like they canceled the whole thing which we know we'll get in March?

Everything from those who felt angered to those who provoked others because of it: Pure comedy gold or rather a blast from the past.

With that being said, really cool from LP to go the extra mile and give us something to play around with. I'll be happy with whatever comes out at the end of it. Personally I had a huge smile on my face while checking every pixel of lp.com.
