Stranger Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 (edited) From LPA : "After a number of reports of LOST IN THE ECHO being the next Linkin Park single from LIVING THINGS, it seems this is now confirmed with a few details about the music video surfacing on Twitter, which is shooting as soon as today! LPA member murphyLP discovered model / actress Carly Francavilla tweeting about landing a role in a Linkin Park music video these past couple days and it seems this has been confrimed by @GinoTheGhost who was on set to be a lead in the video today which is apparently filming in Detroit. It’s unclear if Joe Hahn will be reprising his roll as music video director for LOST IN THE ECHO but we will keep you updated when we know more. This confirms LOST IN THE ECHO as the new single, which has been rumored since it appeared on the LIVING THINGS album sticker along with CASTLE OF GLASS and has also been appearing on Future UK Singles lists since June 18th with a UK release date of July 23rd. View the tweets and an image from the LOST IN THE ECHO set below." Here's a few tweets from the cast of the music video,Carly Francavilla (@CarlyF_babyy) and Ghost (@GinoTheGhost).. gorast Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 How come LP singles are never reported right? All this time we've been hearing about I'll Be Gone and then all of a sudden there's a lyric video and filming for Lost in the Echo. Goes to show we should only pay attention to what songs are on the sticker on the front of the album.
Jesper Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Will be interesting, also the fact they hired an actress, I am really excited for this video!
RiderSSPU Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Will be a great video. The place where they are shooting it seems like it will be amazing, and seems like it will be an awesome story video!
wiiesel Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 (edited) Seems like it will be a storyline video and not just another boring Band performance. Me likes! Edited July 1, 2012 by wiiesel
linkin_boss Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Seems like it will be a storyline video and not just another boring Band performance. Me likes! +1 to that... plain performances sucks as video. hopefully it'll turn on a nice video this time
nikolajlaulp Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Seems like it's going to be a good video for once
Dave-Stone55 Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Feels like so long since we've gotten a single with screaming in it... I approve!
ThePretender Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 The newsletter from Warner Netherlands said the new single will drop in July but they wanted to keep it a surprise.
FearOfTheDuck Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Yay! for video with good song and attractive actress.

The lyric video for Waiting For The End premiered before it was announced as a single, so it shows LOST IN THE ECHO might be it.
RogueSoul Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) So thats what they're doing all month... Edited July 2, 2012 by azAZ
MONDREUS240 Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 Wow, they're actually using a real set instead of just standing in front of a green/black screen and adding stupid special effects afterwards. I really hope Joe isn't directing it. He hasn't made a decent video since LOATR, IMO.

GraDoN Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 and NO MORE ultra slow motion shots. good grief i'm tired of slowmo
lgr Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 and NO MORE ultra slow motion shots. good grief i'm tired of slowmo if there's a derelict house I'm pretty sure that there'll be some DRAMATIC slow-motion in there I'm glad it's not just a performance video this time though. If i want to watch the band play in a room I can watch a live DVD haha
StaticXero Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 great to see such a location for the next video btw: isn't this thread newsworthy?
MONDREUS240 Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) btw: isn't this thread newsworthy? It hasn't been officially confirmed by the band yet, so until then its probably just gonna stay here. EDIT: Mike posted about it on his twitter, so I guess its confirmed. Edited July 2, 2012 by MONDREUS240
RiderSSPU Posted July 2, 2012 Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) video will rock. Edited July 3, 2012 by Bliss

When's the last time LP used outside actors (in a starring role) for a music video? Numb?
