many of the Folky songs on Lt would sound good in this format. Here's my set list:

Note these are mostly full band acoustic renditions...

Papercut (á la the music video)

When they come For Me (an epic tribal percussion version )

Wastelands (á la WTCFM)

What I've done (a stripped acoustic version with dual guitars)

I'll Be Gone/Primo (basically IBG with the gorgeous guitar parts of Primo)

Burning in the skies (full band acoustic)

Castle of Glass (full band acoustic)

Rebellion (full band acoustic)

Roads Untraveled (full band acoustic)

In between ( the album version pretty much, with Phoenix on cello)

My December (full band acoustic with Phoenix on cello)

The Messenger (the album version)

Drawbar (full band acoustic)

The Little things give you away (full band acoustic)

And One (full band acoustic)

Forgotten (full band acoustic)

A Place for my head (full band acoustic)

Crawling (full band acoustic with Phoenix on cello from the Reanimation version)

Wastelands (á la WTCFM)

Rebellion (full band acoustic)

Drawbar (full band acoustic)

And One (full band acoustic)

Forgotten (full band acoustic)

A Place for my head (full band acoustic)

Don't see these going well. The first two are just not feasible live; they're too heavy.

1) Mike's heavy rapping over the acoustic guitars wouldn't sound too good on Wastelands.

2) Rebellion is just to heavy to be acoustic. Can you imagine Chester screaming the bridge over the acoustic guitars?

3) Drawbar is just piano and drums, with a really effected guitar track by Morello. Unless you meant something like piano instrumental I can't see this going well.

4) And One is the same case as Wastelands.

5) Forgotten could be possible, I just don't know how well the bridge would go down.

6) "THEY PLAYED LIKE 5 SECONDS OF IT ACOUSTIC IN AN LPTV WE NEED IT NOW!" It really just wouldn't sound good. Most of the things they do as a warmup aren't necessarily supposed to sound good. That's why they're a warmup.

/criticism

For my set, assuming they wouldn't go over 15 songs, would be this:

  1. What I've Done
  2. New Divide
  3. Leave Out All The Rest
  4. IN MY REMAINS
  5. Numb
  6. Breaking the Habit
  7. In The End
  8. Until It's Gone
  9. My December (w/ cello)
  10. Crawling (Reanimation Intro; w/ cello)
  11. I'LL BE GONE (w/ cello)
  12. The Little Things Give You Away
  13. Final Masquerade
  14. CASTLE OF GLASS
  15. The Messenger

As much as I agree with some of Soul's points, Bennington_Hahn list is really refreshing compare to the other lists which contains the most predictable songs.

I do appreciate the uniqueness of his list, it's just that I don't think it would come off as well as the more predictable ones :P

We'll let me point you to the band SEVENDUST as an example:

Here is one of there classic songs "Denial" known for its angst, and nü metal-ness...

Too heavy to be acoustic right?

Wrong!

Check out the acoustic version they released last year:

See, it is possible, with a few rearrangements here and there. A song like APFMH could work wonderfully with the right arrangement. However I do see your point about Mikes rapping, something that bands like 7D don't have a problem with.

Then again LP have already done In the End acoustically so, it can work.
