This tour is flying by and it's already time for the 6th show in Europe! Before long, the tour will be over before we know it, but let's not think about that for now.

The 6th show of the tour takes Linkin Park to Vienna, Austria for their largest-ever show in Vienna, headlining the Ernst-Happel-Stadion on the beautiful Danube. Talk about a scenic spot for a show, huh?

Linkin Park already has 12 shows in Austria under their belt, first playing the Libro Music Hall in Vienna in March 2001 with the Deftones before returning to headline it on their own in September of that year. From there, quite a sizable gap occurred as Meteora didn't make it to Austria. In one of the more peculiar show non-confirmations we've ever seen, Linkin Park was announced by Aerodrome 04 to perform in Wiener Neustadt with Metallica and Korn but ended up not ever announcing the show themselves. This was during the few day period between Rock am Ring + Super Bock Super Rock in Portugal and the band's shows in Asia. Meteora was close to making an appearance in Austria but things didn't quite materialize!

So, the band's next show came at NovaRock 2007 to close the European Tour for Minutes to Midnight that year. Unfortunately for the Italian fans, a tornado hit Heineken Jammin' the day before and caused damage severe enough that it canceled the show and Linkin Park was actually forced to borrow a few pieces of gear that was pieced together by NovaRock's team to get that show in in Austria. Wow! And adding to the story, it was the third show of the tour the band played with Pearl Jam, following Poland and Portugal. Imagine seeing Linkin Park and Pearl Jam together.... what a dream.

NovaRock 2007 was one of the first shows with the extended bridge of Bleed It Out, which began on the tour at Rock am Ring.

Following 2007, the band elected to perform intimate shows in Graz in both 2008 and 2009. Beginning with Minutes to Midnight, the Austrian fans really supported the band as they started showing up quite frequently. Shows followed in Linz in 2010 for A Thousand Suns and NovaRock again in 2011 and 2012.

Vienna finally got its long awaited second headlining show (after 2001) in 2014 when the band played Vienna again on The Hunting Party Tour. Returning again to Austria the next year, to headline FM4 Frequency in St. Pölten, Linkin Park made it FOUR albums in a row with back-to-back touring years in Austria. That is crazy!

NovaRock got the band AGAIN for One More Light in 2017 and in 2025 for the From Zero World Tour. That's five NovaRock shows for Linkin Park among 12 total shows in Austria!

PHEW, what a history in the country... and we didn't even get into the highlights of all of those shows. Austria has become a steady country for Linkin Park to visit and is up there after England, Germany, and France in terms of the most-visited locations on the continent for LP.

The NovaRock 2025 show was the tour kickoff in Europe in 2025 and featured a brand new "Let You Fade" in the encore that was debuted at the show prior at Welcome to Rockville. But it wasn't without controversy... due to the shortened festival setlist, "Waiting For The End" was dropped... and cue the online backlash! Yep, the fans complained so much about "Waiting For The End" being dropped that Mike saw it and even commented about it in interviews later in the year saying fans were claiming things like, "How dare you drop Waiting For The End... that's Emily's song!" :)

This time, Linkin Park arrives in Austria fresh off of their iconic return at Rock am Ring and following the Rock im Park show directly after it. We're back in headline show territory as LP will now play three headline stadium shows in a row - Vienna and two in Munich - before tackling Download Festival.

This brings us to the rotation songs that are being tossed around right now, and the possibility for more to still come. So far, we've seen Unshatter, Let You Fade, Lost In The Echo, Points Of Authority, Cut The Bridge, Stained, IGYEIH, Good Things Go, From The Inside, Casualty, Over Each Other, and A Place For My Head all show up. That's a heck of a lot of rotation songs in just 5 shows so far.

So what's left? We still think it's possible this tour in Europe sees Keys To The Kingdom, Leave Out All The Rest, and Given Up. Where those songs appear is of course up in the air completely as now we have an Unshatter movie coming from the band and they may elect to perform Unshatter a bit more frequently. We'd love to see the other songs pop up at some point on the tour, but also... With You definitely deserves some plays with how the band absolutely nailed it at Rock am Ring. What about a mid-set rotation like Hamburg was originally going to get with it? That would be cool!

With You. With You. With You. With You. :)

This is going to be a big one and we're looking forward to it!

Oh yeah, if you didn't catch it, the Rock am Ring show was taken off of YouTube due to copyright claims, so it's possible the festival or MagentaMusik put some (or all) of the show online. And in terms of other things going on, perhaps we hear more about the Unshatter movie in the coming days. Whatever the case, this is going to be a huge week with shows in Vienna, Munich (x2), and Donington on deck. So strap in and let's get it going!

Who is seeing them in Vienna? Be on the look out for some of the LPLive team there including Dylan and Garo and say hey if you see them!

I'll be there! 🙂 Can't wait. Hoping for With You and Keys To The Kingdom. Probably won't get both though😀

I'm in Vienna. We met last night with Lorenzo and Adam at the Addicted to Rock venue where abour 120 LPU-ers attended.

It was my first time meeting like this and it was awesome.

I'll be there! It's going to be my first Linkin Park concert ever. A dream come true. I thought this would never happen, but here we go!
