LPLStaff Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago The audio mix on this is incredible. Love hearing all the small details in the show intros and interludes. Have not heard the full show yet, have just poked around but will give it a listen this week. Quote
Stewe Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago I hope the band will give the OK to broadcast more shows. I'm thinking maybe Sao Paulo could have the same treatment as Buenos Aires. And also Corona Capital in Mexico always gets a broadcast Quote
Sabi Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago We need more pro shots — this one is incredible. Big props to the audio mixing; it sounds fantastic. I was worried the livestream would have great video but poor sound, but it nailed both. Way better show than Brazil 2024 in every way. More pro shots like this, and I wouldn't mind if the band skips an official live release. About the show — I agree that Emily lost vocal power near the end, especially on GTG. Kinda bummed HITC had the wrong start, but it was funny. I love the energy of UFTB, TEM, and CTB — they’re killers live. Would've loved to see KTTK, Unshatter, Stained, FTI, or LYF in proshot, but it was still a great show — well done LP! Quote

One of the best proshots I’ve seen of this band quality wise. So crisp. I saw some videos from Santiago last night and Emily seemed fine, so maybe it was just an off night and the proshot mix amplifying her cracks and small mistakes. She honestly sounded fine for like 90% of the show here. I would still like her to have a break though to make sure. Only 4 shows left on an extremely long tour. It’s understandable there will be some signs of wear. Edited 18 hours ago by xxHybridXeroxx Quote
LPLStaff Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Remember we are the 5% of the fans that even notice stuff like that - Chester was very far from perfect live, check the comments on shows here a decade ago. They sound amazing live to me right now. Quote

Qwerty18 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Not only do they sound amazing live right now, but their presence and energy onstage is the best it's been in a decade. To me it's crazy they could keep that pace for the full year, yet they did. They look just as excited and pumped now as they did in Autumn 2024. It may not last forever, but let's enjoy it when we have it Quote
lputkan1 Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago (edited) I think Mike doesn’t allow livestreams because the audio mix usually ends up being low quality. It is not about money. Even when the visuals are decent, the sound is often terrible. The audio quality in all livestreams from 2017 festivals area was really bad. Right now, since everyone is looking for a chance to criticize Emily, they’re not allowing livestreams that might have bad audio mixes. He mentioned in an interview that he even mixes or checks the audio of the live performances uploaded to YouTube. I think he allowed this last one because he knows the audio mixers. He just hire a band engineer to do the audio mix Quote
LPLStaff Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Did he mention that recently? Back in the day - Meteora and MTM - he was supervising audio mixing for releases. Have not heard anything in a long time about his involvement but it would not be surprising. Quote

Luki98 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago A better concert than the one in Brazil last year. Of course, I'm judging based on proshots. The South American crowd is amazing and wild, which is evident on Faint, especially when everyone jumps around. Mike sounds good reciting the lead vocals before the breakdown in A Place For My Head. That surprised me. The only one I missed was From The Inside, but they play that on tour. Quote

It's incredible but it makes total sense. I suppose that he can't always control what is livestreamed or not, hence the Brazil 2014 disaster (the 2017 weren't that bad IMO, I think they were pretty decent). But now to protect the LP 2.0 brand he must have adopted this protectionist attitude, with some exceptions (last year show must have gotten the pass since they supposedly were going to release on its own), like this one. No Livestream will ever be perfect, and this one came very close. Let's enjoy what we have Quote

XD. Emily is not able to pull this song. Stained or OEO is 100 times better live. They should make changes to the setlist. New Divide sound flat, Lost should be only acoustic because it sound flat in full band version. Throat tearers like GivenUp should also be limited, because you can see, or rather hear, that Emily is a little tired of this tour. Or rather, her vocal cords. If a band wants to play for years, they should think about their health. Wait when they make another album with Emily, all these flat songs you mentioned will be replaced in the near future. All CB catalogs will be reduced. rare ones like APFMH, FROM THE INSIDE will stay. Quote

Every album cycle removes certain non singles from the previous touring cycle and those are the ones that will never return. Quote

Let's enjoy what we have I guess so, Brazil 2024 was for the most part going to be a brazil only broadcast until the band released it with their own mixing, so lower stakes (They knew it would end in our hands, but not a mainstream spotlight). I guess considering how a lot of people still loves to talk shit about the new lineup and whatnot, I totally get them wanting to have releases only when they'll show them in the best possible light. With that being said, I wonder what did this broadcaster offered that any other haven't that turned into a yes from the band. Did they just show previous broadcasts to show their audio standards? Did they have any LP engineers involved in the mixing? Probably nothing they could or would talk about... but intriguing nonetheless. I wonder if anyone from argentina can try to get a scoop from the platform itself. Quote
