It's time to lock in, ladies and gentlemen! We've reached the first headlining show of the From Zero World Tour European Leg! After two big festival shows in Austria and Czechia, Linkin Park are returning to their second home with a huge sold-out show at Hannover, Germany's Heinz-von-Heiden-Arena on June 16, 2025

This will be Linkin Park's second show in the city of Hannover, but Linkin Park fans were last treated to the band's music on Mike Shinoda's Post Traumatic Tour. Mike stopped in Hannover on the final leg of the tour in March 2019, the third stop of this second run of European shows. Opening with an anthemic combination of 'Welcome,' 'Make It Up As I Go,' and a piano-style 'Castle Of Glass,' Mike gave fans in the city a taste of everything, ranging from Linkin Park rarities like 'Sorry For Now' (with an extended bridge featuring a drum solo and a verse of 'Hands Held High') and 'Roads Untraveled' to Post Traumatic cuts like 'Prove You Wrong' (fresh off its live debut) and 'Hold It Together.' The encore didn't give up, Mike ending the show with a massive combo of 'Running From My Shadow' and 'A Place For My Head' featuring openers Don Broco (who went to go see Linkin Park's show in London last September!). Much like the From Zero World Tour, the Post Traumatic Tour was a wild ride for us setlist fanatics!

As far as Linkin Park goes, the band has only ever played one other show in Hannover - surprising considering how many shows they play (and sell out) in Germany! Linkin Park last visited Hannover in January 2008, the opening night of both their 2008 touring schedule and the Minutes To Midnight Winter European Tour. The band debuted three brand new setlists for their early runs in 2008, kicking off with Set T for Hannover. This was the debut of a multitude of extended intros that are now legendary in the Linkin Park canon, including the show-opening AMBO Intro for 'What I've Done,' the jam outro to 'Points Of Authority,' the short outro to 'Given Up,' and the extended outro of 'One Step Closer' that is still used today. The setlist also saw the live debuts of 'Valentine's Day' and Mike's short (unplanned) piano cover of The Cure's 'Just Like Heaven (Show Me).' Two encores were used at this show, the first being a stripped down moment featuring 'My December' and 'Breaking The Habit.' To top things all off, the second encore featured the Minutes To Midnight Tour debut of 'A Place For My Head' followed immediately by 'One Step Closer,' closing a show for the first time since 2004. Though the band started the tour with festivals, the 2025 show will be similar to the 2008 show in that it will be the first headlining show (i.e., a "Linkin Park show") of the run for Europe. But we'll get more into what that may entail in just a second...

The full show recording of Linkin Park's tour kick-off in Hannover, Germany on January 17, 2008 from the Digital Souvenir Package (DSP). This set featured the debut of Set T, including many legendary extended intros, outros, and songs.

Linkin Park's last show was in Czechia at the Rock For People festival, and though the band had an abbreviated setlist from their headlining shows, they still brought out some surprises! The band performed Set E90 for the first time, bringing in some fun rotations and playing around with the order of tracks. Opening with Inception Intro A ('Castle Of Glass' theme) and 'Somewhere I Belong,' the band opened up with the regular sequence before launching into the winner of Mike's Twitter poll, 'Lying From You.' In a surprise move, the band rotated 'Crawling' out for 'From The Inside,' which had its music video filmed in the country back in 2003! 'New Divide' was also dropped for the first time all tour, accommodating the much-requested return of 'Waiting For The End' in Act II, being performed with its 2024 Intro from last year and the earlier runs this year. This intro was dropped and replaced on the U.S. leg with a shorter transition in favor of leading into the song with Fort Minor's 'Where'd You Go,' which was absent from this set (but performed at the festival set alongside 'Waiting For The End' last month at the Sonic Temple festival). 'Two Faced' was also moved back down in the set into Act II. The rest of the set proceeded like the last festival sets, with Mike performing The Beach Boys' 'God Only Knows' over the extended intro of 'Overflow' to pay homage to the recently passed Brian Wilson. The encore featured another thrilling performance of 'Let You Fade,' which is slated to be performed at a headlining show for the first time here in Hannover! The night wrapped up with 'Bleed It Out,' with Mike rapping the first verse from 'There They Go' over the extended bridge.

As the last four shows the band has played (barring the Champions League performance) were all abbreviated festival sets, so we may have gotten a bit accustomed to the shorter sets. With this show in Hannover, a good handful of songs (namely, rotation slots) should be coming back into play. To recap, the setlist featured four different rotation slots by the time of the final headlining show in Greenville, South Carolina in May. The first was in Act I, which saw the band switching between 'Lying From You,' 'Cut The Bridge,' and 'Points Of Authority.' Toward the end of Act II came the "heavy" rotation which actually featured four different songs: 'Given Up,' 'Keys To The Kingdom,' 'Casualty,' and 'IGYEIH.' In Act III after 'Lost' comes the "ballad" rotation, the band rotating between three of the softer songs from the new record: 'Over Each Other,' 'Good Things Go,' and 'Stained.' Finally, in the encore, another "heavy" rotation slot was featured, seeing the band choose either 'A Place For My Head,' 'From The Inside,' or 'Points Of Authority.' On top of these rotations, a couple other parts of the set changed up nightly to keep the whole night fresh: Mike whipped out a different verse over the newly extended part of his solo medley, including anything from the 'Skin To Bone' remix verse from Recharged to the demo verse of 'Lift Off' from Post Traumatic, and he plays a different classic song over the intro of 'Overflow' every night as well. The band was also playing a game with the intro to 'Numb,' challenging Colin to play 'Numb/Encore' in a different genre every night based off a number chosen by an audience member. With the debut of 'Let You Fade' in the festival sets, its hard to say where it'll end up in the setlist or if it'll replace another song's spot or simply be added into the show. We're still on the lookout for a live debut of 'Unshatter' to hit that 100% completion on the From Zero discography, so fingers crossed we see it come out soon! This headlining show in Hannover may just be the perfect opportunity.

A full recording of the band's set at the Rock For People festival in Hradec Králové, Czechia on June 14, 2025. The band definitely found their footing for this tour and are sounding huge at this show - Hannover should be no different!

I've been talking about the first opener grandson for many of these pre-show posts, as he's been sort of the staple opener for the band for the first half of the tour so far. He returns to Germany, having also opened the band's last show in the country on the tour in Hamburg last year. He changed up his set from last year for his 2025 run and also has some new songs in the works, so be prepared for him to open the night with some rebellious energy! However, he won't be alone this time to open the show. The phenomenal Architects are also joining the bill, and you truly don't want to miss these guys. Perhaps one of the biggest names on the post-hardcore scene at the moment, Architects are fresh off their new album The Sky, The Earth, & All Between which introduced a plethora of massive new songs like 'Blackhole' and 'Seeing Red' (not be confused with Chevelle's 'The Red'). On top of potential selections from their previous records including the likes of 'Impermanence,' 'Animals,' and 'Doomsday,' you can expect a heavy and grandiose opening set from these guys if you do get to catch them. Don't miss this lineup - us from around the world who can't make it are very jealous!

Architects performing their song 'Blackhole' live for the first time at PRYZM in London, England on February 27, 2025. As the lead single from their latest record, it seems quite likely this song will be included in their setlist. If you haven't heard the band before, take this as your introduction to what's ahead!

Who's going to the show? Weatherman Rogue Soul reporting that we are 3 for 3 on beautiful days for a Linkin Park show so far this tour, with sun and some clouds in the forecast for Hannover this Monday. Temperatures be mild at 22°C in the middle of the day going down to 13°C at night, so be prepared for it to be a little chilly as you leave the show! Linkin Park's From Zero World Tour continues with another immense show in Germany on Wednesday at Berlin's Olympiastadion before they head over to Switzerland for another headlining show in Bern. The band will then resume their festival circuit again later this week with shows at Hellfest in France and I-Days in Italy.

We've been updating our Linkinpedia show pages over the last few weeks leading up to the tour with new features like more statistics, highlighting rotation songs, a banner at the top of the guide, and lots more, so be sure to head over there and explore what we've been up to! We've also recently launched an LPLive Newsletter for those looking for more of a TL;DR version of what's going on with the tour than my pre-show posts - we'll be sending it out every couple of weeks so as to not flood your inbox, but we'll be bringing you an overview of both tour and general news updates in these, so be sure to sign up if you haven't already!

We'll have you covered on everything the band does at this show and everything they whip out for the rest of the year, so be sure to sign up on the forums and follow us on social media (Twitter/XInstagramFacebook)!

Nice, I will be at the Innenraum Stehplatz in Berlin. If I'm at the barricade I'll not be too far away from the stage. I mean, Olympiastadion is fucking massive.

I was also at LP in Hamburg in 2007. It was my first LP concert. I sat right at the top in the second-to-last row, with the end of the hall behind us. I'm also at LP; it's my 8th LP concert, and I was also at the Dead By Sunrise, Fort Minor, and Mike Shinoda concerts in Berlin. I'm really looking forward to the concert on Wednesday. I'm excited to hear the new lineup for LP Live.

Wanted to add something about the 2008 show. I am not saying I had anything to do with it, I am just saying the band made great moves with the set. There was a setlist idea thread at the time and I posted in December 2007 and posted like: they should totally play My December, Valentine's Day, open with What I've Done, and fucking bring back A Place for My Head. And add the Krwlng intro to Crawling. Around this time, people were taking petitions to the band at M&Gs to get APFMH back. lol

Anyway they played this Hannover show and I wish our site forum went back that far because that's one of the best reactions to a show in the fanbase literally ever. The new set had What I've Done AMBO intro that blew people away, APFMH returned, it had 2 encores, the Valentine's Day debut, My December, etc. It was literally like the whole community going "holy shit!!"

So I will be listening to that show today in honor of them being back in Hannover. It was totally ironic/funny I gave some ideas like that and they ended up doing most of them lol.

As far as soundchecks go, they definitely didn't soundcheck at the festivals because LP is not getting there at 8-9am for a festival & it is usually the crew playing songs over the PA. But they very well could be on stage running through the From Zero stuff in Hannover. This would make sense since they didn't do full band rehearsals in Europe for this tour. That seems likely.

Enjoy the show!

Yes the 2008 Hannover is one of the best i ever were! All the intros and outros..the new and very old songs...truly amazing!

my guess for the show is:

same structure as the last non-festival show, but including let you fade in the encore, so not sure how are they gonna resolve it, maybe just drop where'd you go early and go for a 5 song encore

What a great show!

Amazing atmosphere, very good vibes in the band...wow i am speechless!

Cut the Bridge over Bleed it out and IOU at Mike solo.

I think Joe is sick..He wore a mask (covid mask) the whole concert and at the photo after the show he stood a little more distanted from the others..

Now i need to reload my batteries and my voice for Berlin😎😎😁 good night!

I was there.

I was also really excited about Architects since I am a fan of them as well. And both were kickass! I actually wore an Architects shirt during their set and changed during the changeover of the stages :D

Hope Joe gets well soon!

what a great show!
Was really fun.
But the crowd was a bite lame for grandson. He put on a great show, but barely anybode paid credit.
But I prefered his show in Hamburg.

The sound was not a 10/10. Sometimes it was hard to understand the voices over the intruments, especially by grandson.

I really liked whered you go, I hoped for that!
The Lost version with the soft beginning ist sooo good.
But I'm still missing Freidnyl Fire, I loved that in Hamburg last time.

I Hope they change Let you fade for good things go. I dont dig let you fade.

The origanisation was good too. I just good a bit confused with the express lange at the merch booth post. I thougt it was an express lane to enter the venue, but it was only to buy merch :D

Oh and the tour stop poster was at the merch stand way cheaper than online.  -50€  I think.

Just sayin. The page for this show says, Colin performed the intro to Numb in a Reggae style. This is FALSE. it was REGGAETON. Similar names but two VERY different things

Insane moshpits during TF bridge at that show. Could be some of the craziest I've seen for LP.
